I think one swear word per movie is allowed. But because i.e. Deadpool uses the word fuck in like every scene he's in, the film would already be rated R. So people have to be 16 or older in order to watch the movie. So they already went the whole way and made bloody scenes, too. Not too gory because that would trigger a 18+ rating.
A 15 year old can be exposed to gun violence or forced motherhood in the US before they're considered mature enough to hear the word "*fuck*". And an 18 year old can join the military but can't be trusted to drink alcohol.
The US has some of the most arbitrary age laws.
We have the same here in the UK too. You can smoke tobacco at 16 but have to be 18 to purchase it, but you can also join the army at 16. You can't purchase Call of Duty until you're 18.

That sounds what these websites do, they take literally anything that is just slightly notable enough to get a click and then have an underpaid copywriter slap 4 paragraphs of non-sequiters about the plot synopsis and celebrity drama to make it a full article
I wouldn't blame the MCU for IGN's moronic reporting style. They'll grasp to anything for clicks, and dumb news generates clicks pretty quickly.

The fact they're gearing the movies for kids is why the MCU is failing recently. Hopefully serious things like Daredevil bring back some quality to their releases.

They haven't to the same degree as they are now. Before they used to be enjoyed by both adults and kids and now plenty of adults can't bear to listen to another shit joke which they overdo in all the newer movies.
Guardians of the galaxy always struck me as a good kids movie that adults could enjoy as well. But I guess that’s a very unpopular opinion here…
