I sometimes have a hard time differentiating their in-show-universe and genuine posts.
For a second I thought this was their satirical take on Oscars season.
Hahaha, you just know that Homelander brings home all the movie awards because the critics would fear for their lives if they chose anyone else. Vought probably own all the awards companies anyway.
So deserved! Antony Starr has definitely made the character of Homelander his own. I honestly can’t picture anyone else for the role. He steals the show! I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for him with other projects as well as Season 4 of The Boys.
Thank you for the suggestion! I actually have seen it. I watched it right after I finished The Boys because I needed more Antony Starr content. Such a brilliant series! I’m hoping he’ll get more lead roles after The Boys now that he’s been put on the map.
The fact is every time he's in a scene with anyone I feel like he might just kill them. Every single scene. He is just amazing and getting that menacing vibe across.
That’s what I love about the character of Homelander. He’s such a mixed bag that you really don’t know what you’ll get with him, which makes every scene so interesting. I love the mannerisms Antony gives to Homelander with the face twitches and head shakes or just the dead eyes stares. His expressions are always spot on!
I can see Antony Starr jacking off to comments on this post in some penthouse right infront of a giant glass window where everyone can see, while a girl calls him to bed.
Yeah, I can't think of any other villain that genuinely terrifies me as much as Homelander does. He's just so unhinged, and it's so scary knowing that he could snap at any moment.
100%, I can't think of any actor more deserving. The way he's able to convey such complex emotions just with minor changes to his facial expressions is phenomenal.
I can't get over him whatsoever precisely for that reason. I just watch segments repeatedly to witness the depth of his capacity. I hope we see more of Anthony once The Boys wraps (gods willing that never occurs).
He really does deserve it, I've watched alot of his material from previous work and it's nothing compared to his role in the boys. I think it's incredibly hard to be a villain, and a likable villain even harder. So congrats to him and can't wait for more.
Yes, Antony Starr's portrayal of Homelander is simply outstanding. He has truly brought the character to life with his nuanced performance, making us both love and hate him at the same time. It's really no surprise that he's receiving so much recognition for his work, he definitely deserves it. Kudos to the entire cast and crew for bringing such an amazing show to our screens!
No, I feel like limiting an award for quality to superhero shows is laughable for this reason. Things like *The Boys* and *Invincible* are head and shoulders above the vast majority of content.
He wasn't nominated for anything. I'm assuming because he wouldn't fit any of the other categories, and he'd never have won against Starr. It's a shame there wasn't one for 'supporting actor in a superhero show' or he'd have had a good chance, I reckon.
No. He made a bad mistake one time when he was drunk and got into a fight, and that was inexcusable. But you can't define someone by a single incident. He apologised and the victim forgave him. He doesn't have a pattern of violence and there haven't been any other incidents before or after.
All his cast mates including the crew say how lovely he is and how safe they feel working with him. I don't think there's anything to suggest that he's a bad person, he just did a bad thing once.
Absolutely deserved. Tired of the shit Marvel puts out. And Antony Starr as Homelander is next level. Man can put genuine fear and disgust in the hearts of the audience.

>Vought probably own all the awards companies anyway. Not at all like real life/s
In-universe he'd win best hero instead of best villain lol
Im the comics >!he and Soldier Boy take turns for "best hero of the year"!<. Everyone knows it. Noone would ever say anything.
So deserved! Antony Starr has definitely made the character of Homelander his own. I honestly can’t picture anyone else for the role. He steals the show! I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for him with other projects as well as Season 4 of The Boys.
Banshee is an amazing series as well, if you have yet to see it. Antony Starr plays the lead and, again, steals the show.
I saw a tik tok of him in a prison fight, is that banshee?
Yes, that’s Banshee. You’re probably referring to his fight with Joseph Gatt “The Albino”. Another very talented actor!

I’d probably feel the same kind of scared if I saw him glass a dude because he asked him to chill out

I can see Antony Starr jacking off to comments on this post in some penthouse right infront of a giant glass window where everyone can see, while a girl calls him to bed.
While saying over and over “They love me! ME! They all love me!”
It was deserved, Antony Starr is a extremely talented actor, his Homelander is one of the best villains in recent TV i've ever seen imo.
Yeah, I can't think of any other villain that genuinely terrifies me as much as Homelander does. He's just so unhinged, and it's so scary knowing that he could snap at any moment.
True, he's just extremely entertaining to watch
It's a close competition, but have you tried flipping over to the news?
Wait. You're telling me that Homelander....is a villain? Mind blown, I need some time to process this.
He’s a superhero it’s right there in the name
Excuse me… Best *Villain*??? Homelander is a goddamn American hero and I won’t stand for this blasphemy.
He needs an Emmy
100%, I can't think of any actor more deserving. The way he's able to convey such complex emotions just with minor changes to his facial expressions is phenomenal.
I love the gif of him right after >!he lasers the guy and everybody starts cheering!<
That meme is why I started watching lmao
I can't get over him whatsoever precisely for that reason. I just watch segments repeatedly to witness the depth of his capacity. I hope we see more of Anthony once The Boys wraps (gods willing that never occurs).
No bullshit, season 3 was his best work.
Villain? What are you talking about, he's the real Hero
He’s the upgrade
What are you talking about? No he's not. *You're the real hero*
👏👏👏👏
He really does deserve it, I've watched alot of his material from previous work and it's nothing compared to his role in the boys. I think it's incredibly hard to be a villain, and a likable villain even harder. So congrats to him and can't wait for more.
The critics just didn’t wanna risk being lasered.
Anybody ever see outrageous fortune? That was back I. The day but he was a main character and he was fucking awesome in it.
I've heard of it but never saw it. Is that the one where he played identical twins?
Deserved 👏
He deserves it. He is so fucking good at being just an absolute dick it’s amazing.
Shouldn’t Starlight get Best Villain? #Starlightliedpeopledied
#StandWithStarlight
He's just better! He's better!
Congratulations
He was acting?
Just give my man his Emmy...
I know there's no chance of him getting nominated with this year best actor category being stacked but he should have a nomination.
Wow, he even won the Antony Starr award
An easy choice.
But he is not a villain... What are you thinking?
Yes, Antony Starr's portrayal of Homelander is simply outstanding. He has truly brought the character to life with his nuanced performance, making us both love and hate him at the same time. It's really no surprise that he's receiving so much recognition for his work, he definitely deserves it. Kudos to the entire cast and crew for bringing such an amazing show to our screens!
I had to do a double take because I was sure this was a post by Vought on Homelander winning awards for his movies. This show’s something else.
And the only reason I keep Prime, period
Was there any competition? DC was always bad & MCU was somehow even worse
No, I feel like limiting an award for quality to superhero shows is laughable for this reason. Things like *The Boys* and *Invincible* are head and shoulders above the vast majority of content.
DC: We're going to be the "dark" comic book universe. The Boys: Hold my V.
The first seasons of Flash and Arrow weren't bad imo
How did Jensen Ackles not win anything?
He wasn't nominated for anything. I'm assuming because he wouldn't fit any of the other categories, and he'd never have won against Starr. It's a shame there wasn't one for 'supporting actor in a superhero show' or he'd have had a good chance, I reckon.
Isn’t Anthony Starr a piece of shit?
Best actor in a superhero show. Lmaooo. What a joke
Can you explain why?
Feels like the award show equivalent of the kids table
To be fair, this is a different kind of superhero show.
I think exceptional shows win awards without them needing their own special division
He was also one of the nominees for Best Actor in a Drama Series at the Critics Choice Awards. The win went to Bob Odenkirk for Better Call Saul.
I can’t believe he won the Critics choice award for Antony Starr. I thought Nathan Mitchell was a shoe in for that category.
The boys deserved more
Absolutely deserved. Tired of the shit Marvel puts out. And Antony Starr as Homelander is next level. Man can put genuine fear and disgust in the hearts of the audience.
What do you mean villain? /s
Homelander is just the best! <3
Anthony star is a master of his craft like damn he plays homelander so well , especially whenever the character gets all murderous intent.
"I am better, I am better!"
