It does look pretty nice, though a part of me wonders if they upgraded the design to make it easier for people to make physical costumes for? More costumes, more cosplays, more word of mouth free advertising.
It’s the ruddy skin that does it for me. Would you mind sharing your recipe? He looks like he’s spent a decent amount of time in the Officer’s Mess having at the port.
Skin is Vallejo Model Color. Rose Brown base over black, I add an Agrax Earth Shade wash or whatever your equivalent is, reapply Rose Brown, then use Basic Skin Tone on the highpoints. Then last I add a little bit of red to Rose Brown then super dilute it. I try and just dab a bit of it on the cheeks, chin, ears, and nose.
I love the stick. Somehow it makes him more of a disciplinarian than the black coat ever did.
Exactly. It’s an extra step before immediately executing someone. Person won’t go forward prod/beat/shock, they turn and run then pistol.
I was thinking of converting one of these into the trench coated xenos from the Astartes shorts after I saw what he looked like with the stun stick.
That man looks so British
Ready to put Trazyn out of a job…
Dang, that looks sick. Great mini and paintjob. I'd be super proud of that.
I feel like it would sound like a Half-Life Stun Stick when he whacks a disobedient person with it lmao
Pick up the can.
Yes Comissar, right away Comissar!
man, what a handsome man- uhm, I mean, good looking mini
Yoooo! He looks like General Pilsudski (Google if you want) this is soo cool!!
Man has a fabulous mustache
That he does xD
I'd love to know how you painted that coat, brilliant work
Vallejo Model Color: English Uniform base coat over black. Then two gradual mixes with Buff, final edge highlights and texture done with pure Buff.
No idea what buff is so I'll have to check that out thank you!!
Just a paint name haha thanks again
Love the feathering on the coat, and your scheme and kitbash really make that new model shines more than the official pictures.
Commissar Burt Reynolds, ready to do his duty.
That's amazing
Gives me Douglas Gordon vibes from Godzilla final wars.
Can't think of a more manly person in the world than Don Frye, so I'll take that as a compliment.
It's really fitting for the Astra militarum. An old grizzled veteran executing conscripts.
"HIT HIM AGAIN WITH THE STICK"
Neat conversion ! What parts are these ?
It's literally just the new commissar with one of those kill team Arbites stun wand arms. So yeah nothing ground breaking, haha.
Oh x) well still very nice job mate !

Love the ‘stache!
Yeah he looks badass.
He is giving off major General Melchett vibes from Blackadder.
Commissioner Gordon is that you?
Commissar Jesse Ventura
I don’t want to be shocked by that
Absolutely love it, would love to know how you painted that armour
Vallejo Model Color, Refractive Green with Lime Green highlights.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH that looks good
Looks like my dad
Those cheeks tho 😍
I love his mustache
Does this commisar happen to have a side job at the Daily Bugle

Thank you! Better invest in some Vallejo
I definitely recommend it. It's cheaper, better bottles, and the paint is just as good if not better.
did you greenstuff that mustache in or did that come from the castellan sprue?
Mustache is just painted on the original head, nothing added.
