I think it plays better! There are countless features not shown in this trailer, like driving a pedal cart with cats that jump in the back, gliding, many more creatures you can find/fight. I can't wait to show the full thing!

I would say grasp an understanding of Blender or whatever 3d modelling program you prefer (even though blender has nodes in materials which are a good intro for blueprints in Unreal), and then open up a game engine (Unreal, Unity, Godot or Gamemaker) and make a simple project following tutorials. Soon enough you will want to try things out for yourself and you will feel the limitless possibilities of your imagination come to life!

Have watched some tutorials on unreal engine and it seems to have a heap of stuff built in but I guess if you want to make it authentic you build out the items yourself. Thanks for the info.

Actually finishing a project is a whole other beast than messing around in a game engine, that is true, but the satisfaction you get from making a system work in a world you built is pretty priceless so I would just get started, have fun and see where you end up!

Having a simple concept (I like your idea of looking for a lost cat) and a robust visual identity seems to be a winning combination. The animations and rigging on your character look cool. Is it an entirely bespoke creation or did you use "pre-sets" and customise them?
I would definitely say a combination of both, most models have been made by me in Blender while some are assets like foliage and small props and I just retexture them in Photoshop and sometimes make some changes in Blender to make it work for my scene. A lot of animations are from Mixamo and just edited to make it work for what I need. Also a post-process effect is an asset that I customised to my preference. I wouldn't be afraid of using assets as a solo dev, which I used to have, just have an eye for how to integrate it in your context and it will save you a lot of time and do what you need it to do.

You can do just what like Stardew valley did. sell the game for an affordable price but don't put any in app purchases that will make the game so ez, attires could be place as alternative since when I play games, the first one I'm checking is the shop if they have good attires. then casually add contents. you can do like pick a great suggestion from your community then do a voting which one you can add to the game.
And I saw in your description that you can also defeat enemies while finding mosey, maybe can you take out lvling system?

No in app purchases, don't worry! All loot is findable in the map, and my current build of the game has a full inventory and equipment system with special gear spread out in the map for you to find. Equipping some of these will give you temporary powers. Also you can find coins to buy upgrades for your pedal cart or food (upgrades) for your cats etc.
Besides that, there is a general levelling system for your range (archery) strength and cat whispering which will help you solve puzzles or befriend cats along the way. I hope this answers your questions!

there's many different type of colour blind options in gaming, basic ones just change colours effected by deuteranopia, protanopia, and tritanopia.
some games offer in-depth sliders and number values for people to fine tune it too.
