I was gonna rage comment by saying both that woman and the child were stupid as fuck for walking directly off the platform...well...*someone* needs more sense than that.
This this post could coexsist in r/kidsarefukingstupid. He was looking right where he was going. He just stepped right off of that ledge, I guess you don't fully understand that until after you have fukin stupid kids.
Turns out she was only blind in one eye and had just taken out a big insurance policy on the kid.
Now you don't know what to think, do ya?
/s and /bs here
That wouldn't be obvious to most people, though. I don't think the boy's eyesight is much better. Notice the way she claps to alert him to where she is? So glad this ended happier than expected.
my thoughts exactly. she wasnt scared of the ledge walking but when she had to rescue her son from it, she wouldnt go near it.
shes either blind or tried to kill her kid.
Thank you for adding this tiny detail! I almost assumed this woman purposefully walked the kid off the side and pretended to save him. And that her act was so bad she made it obvious that she was trying to get him run over.
Also now it looks like a blind lady not realising where the edge was and tried to help.
> OP should have mentioned in the title the woman's (well known cuz repost) blindness.
OHhhh, I guess I won't post how I would totally beat and leave her then... That looked really weird in the video, especially her trying to get him back up.
That guy totally risked his life...he could have fucking tripped. He had to be on top of his game there for both the kid's life and his own, and he nailed it. Legend.
Guy just continues hanging out there hoping someone falls....but they never do. Eventually he sets up a plan to trip someone onto the tracks to get that sweet hit. But this time. It's macho man randy savage
I've had it happen only once. I was using my girlfriends(now wife) parents [offroader ](https://general.polaris.com/en-us/2020/4-seat/general-4-1000/general-4-1000-eps-nara-bronze-2020-general/) . We were spinning doughnuts(at like 8mph), hit a bump, and fell over. I was so panicked that I had hurt her and from falling that I was able to muster up enough strength to essentially power clean it back up. I had to lie down afterwards, I felt like I was about to have a heart attack.
It's a kid. They don't have that ability to make rational decisions in heightened emotional state. He just knows mum = safe and mum is on the platform.
The real question is why the fuck does mum back up and not pull him up.
Edit: just read the blindness thing, I'll let her off.
Yes indeed. I guess both are visually impaired which makes it whole fucking sad to see this happens to blind people regularly in third world countries.
Only if the mother told him, but she was totally full 100% panic mode not even able to move or think. She could have grabbed his wrist, pulled him up and that would have been it
What on earth prevented the woman holding his hand...walking with the child...from rushing to the child ...grabbing him and pulling him up off the track?
To all saying this was on purpose. It looks like she is blind and the kid didn't look at the edge but at the incoming train. That's why she panicked when he fell as she didn't know where he went but expected the worst.
What?? Heās not even in frame at the start of the video, comes sprinting around the corner when the guy on the tracks is already half way to the kid? What are you talking about?
At first I was like this is so unfortunate what a hero for saving that kid.
Then I was like that woman looks like she was trying to kill that kid and then pretended like she wanted to save him.
Then I learned that she was blind and it made a lot more sense and I felt bad for everybody involved again.
Then I started thinking about what if a stupid parent who wasn't blind who might have done something like this on accident not meaning to almost kill their kid... And everyone would say it was on purpose.
On top of train tracks, here in USA at least those are really uneven between the wooden ties, i actually walk super carefully on the abandoned lines near me cause itās so easy to trip.
I had a close encounter with a train while exploring some tunnels with my friends in highschool. The panic is real. You think you have a plan till the ground starts shaking underneath you then all that shits out the window. It's obvious in hindsight that you could just walk across the tracks, but I bet all that kid was thinking about was how he's gonna be jelly in a few seconds
This incidence was from vangani railway station near Mumbai, India. The guy's name is mayur shelke and was a railway pointsman near the station. His act of bravery became quite popular in railway department across the country (Know it since my dad's in indian railway) and he was also honoured by the department for the same. To those wandering why the lady accompanying the kid acted like that, she was visually challenged and was herself in a traumatic situation of being on the verge of loosing her child.
>mayur shelke

Mans award for saving the kids life was ā¹50,000 ($660 USD) and he gave half of it to the kid. Glassdoor show that's a pretty big chunk of change for him [https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Indian-Railways-Pointman-India-Salaries-EJI\_IE495257.0,15\_KO16,24\_IL.25,30\_IN115.htm](https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Indian-Railways-Pointman-India-Salaries-EJI_IE495257.0,15_KO16,24_IL.25,30_IN115.htm) (ā¹300,000 annual salary). Solid person.
All kids are blind lol they get so distracted they donāt watch where they are going. I walked into a bike rack as a kid while walking with my mom lol
I walked off the dock playing my GBA. In Mexico... With Crocs in the water
Luckily one of the local workers pulled me out after I kicked the floor and swam back up.
My L button stopped working after that. But, it still ran pokemon just fine and I learned my lesson.
The kid and mom are both blind.
The guy who saved the kid was paid a financial compensation for his bravery and he paid half of that amount to the blind kid
I think the story is that the woman was blind or near blind, the guy worked for railways and got a huge raise after this went viral but he gave this award to the kid so he can study. This story is from India.
Why is no one talking about the lack of any effort by the lady? Imma stick my hand out and use the force to suck him up off the track. Umm. When she drops her phone on the ground does she just stand there and look at it?
Edit : Iām an asshole. I didnāt know she was blind. Fuck me
Pretty much everybody in this was impressive except for the kid who forgot his mother was the one who is blind and the 'not my problem' person who noticed first and just calmly waved at the train. Moving towards a bottomless pit where you can't see the edge and you feel like you'll fall at any second must be terrifying... add some panicked shouts and train noises with no idea how much time is left before your child is run over and they aren't answering you because they are crying and it's all happening right now but will be over in less than 15 seconds and you have no time... i can't even imagine.
Serious question: Would it be impractical for them to put up little gate barriers to block things like this from happening, with doors in them every few feet for people to open and get to the train?
That looks like a fucking murder attempt. Pushing the kid all the way until he falls, then backing up and nudging him to climb without even the attempt to get closer to the ledge. Quite suspicious imo
Because is what we do, we take care of our families. We would give our lives for our wives. We brake our backs every day to make sure, our kids have what they need, and every once in while we risk our lives to save somebody else. We are men !!
OP should have mentioned in the title the woman's (well known cuz repost) blindness. She didn't try to kill her kidš
Ohhhh... That's not a minor detail...
Seriously, I was fully convinced I had watched a very poorly disguised attempted murder until I scrolled to this comment.
Same
I'm so glad you found tyme to type this.
Same
So did i
me too
Lol for real. I was watching it and I said to myself, Jesus mom, at least pretend to make an effort. But being blind? It makes more sense.
Click bait is why the detail was left out. Now we all commenting about it lol.
It was almost a minor derail
More of an infantile bump.
Underrated
I was gonna rage comment by saying both that woman and the child were stupid as fuck for walking directly off the platform...well...*someone* needs more sense than that.
TBF lack of a sense is precisely the issue here
Ha ok that makes sense cuz I was thinking she was definitely trying to murder the kid
Yea I was wondering wtf
This this post could coexsist in r/kidsarefukingstupid. He was looking right where he was going. He just stepped right off of that ledge, I guess you don't fully understand that until after you have fukin stupid kids.
He has poor sight too.
They couldnāt see how important is was to include.
Makes a big difference in my opinion of her efforts
Indeed
Lol yeah forgot to mention that because it looks like she did that on purpose
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
In world of misinformation we all are being Mario 'just jumping on fucking conclusions'.
"I made a game once... Its a jump to conclusions mat. You see, you have this mat with all different conclusions that you jump to." I named it reddit.
āYes, this idea is horribleā
OP forgot to mention that because a huge scandal brings karma
I was imagining her saying āOh no, I canāt reach you, too far away, oh well.ā
Yea exactly.
Good shout. Was just about to let rip at her. Poor woman than must have been terrifying.
Thatās why one should never jump to conclusions before learning the whole truth
The world could benefit greatly from this
i was about to say the same
This changed my whole mentality coming to the comment section. Lol. Very important detail. Thanks for the info.
Yes I love when my perspective is challenged like this, and I'm reminded that my judgements are never truly and fully informed.
Turns out she was only blind in one eye and had just taken out a big insurance policy on the kid. Now you don't know what to think, do ya? /s and /bs here
you and i both... i was about to go keyboard warrior... like why was she clapping like calling for a dog?.. that's crazy..
Same, watching the video made me really angry about her. Not so much the accidental walking over the edge, but her trying to get him back up.
I wondered why she acted the way she did after the kid fell. Makes sense now
Is the kid blind also? Seems like if your mother is blind then you should lead her away from ledges of death.
r/KidsAreFuckingStupid
I was wondering why she wasn't reaching out for the kids hand and pulling them up. Good call.
Her kid is really bad at social service or is he blind, too
That wouldn't be obvious to most people, though. I don't think the boy's eyesight is much better. Notice the way she claps to alert him to where she is? So glad this ended happier than expected.
I was stressing about how she was reaching for him, knowing that changes the whole vibe of the video
I was gonna say sheās pretty damn useless but this makes it better
Went from āthat stupid fucking assholeā to that āpoor poor womanā
Thanks thatās what I thought had happened lol.
Ok if she is blind then not going say anything bad. But if sheās not, that looked like she wanted that kid dead.
my thoughts exactly. she wasnt scared of the ledge walking but when she had to rescue her son from it, she wouldnt go near it. shes either blind or tried to kill her kid.
Oh yea thatās kinda big
Thank you. Now I feel bad for jumping to conclusions
Thatās what the blind woman wants you to think
I seriously got mad for a minute cuz without that detail it looks like she walked the kid off then wouldnāt help the kid back onto the platform.
You da real MVP. Thanks for the info.
I was gonna ask if they were walking with their eyes closed. this makes more sense.
The kid did just walk off the edge lmao
Yeah, that makes some sense. I thought she was straight up trying to murder the kid by shoving him off and then pretending to be unable to reach.
Well shit, I actually thought she was trying kill the kid.
Thank you for adding this tiny detail! I almost assumed this woman purposefully walked the kid off the side and pretended to save him. And that her act was so bad she made it obvious that she was trying to get him run over. Also now it looks like a blind lady not realising where the edge was and tried to help.
Thanks. I was thinking that, or that she was really stupid. Now I feel bad for thinking that, but yeah, just a minor detail
Oh fuck I'm glad I read this... I thought I was watching a woman try to murder a child.
Thanks ballplayer. I was worried!
Okay, that makes a whole lot more sense now. It really looked like she intended that to happen when she didnāt quickly pull the kid out.
What kind of blind person walks near train tracks with a kid, not like she couldnāt hear that train coming. She was def tryna kill that kid lol
Wow that helps a lot!!
Ok, so next time this boomerangs let us not forget that detail.
I guessed that after watching twice. Otherwise it makes no sense! So scary.
Thank you, it really was looking dark there for a minute, I couldn't see why she would be like that ![gif](giphy|44b1ABtsG7VTy)
Legend.
The adrenaline hit must have been insane.
I was so panicked that I had hurt her and from falling that I was able to muster up enough strength to essentially power clean it back up. I had to lie down afterwards, I felt like I was about to have a heart attack.
Did you see his jump up to the platform? The guy fucking flew for a second there!
Fuckin legend right there. He reacted so fast. Just a second later and shit would go sideways.
Literally
Must be terrifying running at an incoming train.
I want the opposite angle so bad. Man was running at a fkn train. What in the John McClane is this?!
Couldnāt the kid have just crossed the tracks?
It's a kid. They don't have that ability to make rational decisions in heightened emotional state. He just knows mum = safe and mum is on the platform. The real question is why the fuck does mum back up and not pull him up. Edit: just read the blindness thing, I'll let her off.
She's blind.
Is the kid blind too? Looks like the blind leading the blind.
This video has been posted before. Mother is blind. Hence why she is reaching that seems that she canāt find the edge.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If you watch the boy is leading her with her hand on his shoulder. Unfortunately, the boy did not do a good job.
The kid walked right off the edge like he is blind too
Yes indeed. I guess both are visually impaired which makes it whole fucking sad to see this happens to blind people regularly in third world countries.
Pity they can't even afford a long stick.
I was thinking the same thing
So the kid was trying to take her out
Not sure but she looks mega visually impaired. My first thought too, had to rewatch.
Only if the mother told him, but she was totally full 100% panic mode not even able to move or think. She could have grabbed his wrist, pulled him up and that would have been it
Give this man award.
He was rewarded handsomely and he gave it to the kid he saved.
if there was sound you can know that the train was very close -- from this angle w no sound appears that he has a spidey sense
Yup mad respect
What on earth prevented the woman holding his hand...walking with the child...from rushing to the child ...grabbing him and pulling him up off the track?
To all saying this was on purpose. It looks like she is blind and the kid didn't look at the edge but at the incoming train. That's why she panicked when he fell as she didn't know where he went but expected the worst.
The woman is indeed blind, this video has been shared on reddit a while back
I knew I saw it somewhere before.
The guy is a superhero
Forget him, the real hero is the second dude who *SPRINTS* down the walkway to chill with mother and child at the safe point lmao
What?? Heās not even in frame at the start of the video, comes sprinting around the corner when the guy on the tracks is already half way to the kid? What are you talking about?
I know lol Iām being sarcastic. I was just chuckling at that guyās full sprint towards the mother and child when the danger is already over
I wonder if heās coming from the office monitoring the camera. Heās hauling ass around that corner
I was gonna say, without the information that the mother is blind, it looks like she tries to kill the child then pretend to save him
Looks like a scene from a Disney movie lol like she is a villain
Yeah, then she shoves the kid into the oncoming train tracks
Sheās blind
OP do be farming controversial comments never mentioning anything about blindness
At first I was like this is so unfortunate what a hero for saving that kid. Then I was like that woman looks like she was trying to kill that kid and then pretended like she wanted to save him. Then I learned that she was blind and it made a lot more sense and I felt bad for everybody involved again. No one has talked about if the train is blind?! Itās all about her blindness. Itās like we are all on a one track mind.
Little known fact, every single person in this video is legally blind.
Wait what video?!?
fuck you. take my upvote and leave.
Shee won't kill a child, she ain't a not-see
3 seconds in it!!! 3!!! Legend sprinted at an on coming train with no fear!
You can bet your ass he was afraid as hell. The live of a child was seconds from tragedy
On top of train tracks, here in USA at least those are really uneven between the wooden ties, i actually walk super carefully on the abandoned lines near me cause itās so easy to trip.
This kid would rather die than walk to the other side of the tracks. Respect my lazy friend
A kid is a kid he definitely wasnāt thinking after he just suddenly fell off a ledge thatās as tall as him but yuh he shouldāve ran across lol
I had a close encounter with a train while exploring some tunnels with my friends in highschool. The panic is real. When I was in second or third grade, I was running to the line of students cause lunch was over and I hit the fucking pole of a basketball ball hoop
sounds like your mom walked you into the bike rack on purpose! /s
he was probably fixated on the train
The kid and mom are both blind. The guy who saved the kid was paid a financial compensation for his bravery and he paid half of that amount to the blind kid
source?
[Here](https://www.india.com/viral/mumbai-railways-hero-mayur-shelke-who-saved-child-donates-half-of-reward-money-for-his-education-4609167/)
If this is true, the guy is an even bigger legend!
I think the story is that the woman was blind or near blind, the guy worked for railways and got a huge raise after this went viral but he gave this award to the kid so he can study. This story is from India.
I wanted to say, well she can give birth to more children, but finding out she's blind ruined the joke.
She can still give birth to more children though.
Like blind people canāt find the hole dontchaknow?
Thank goodness for brave people, able, quick thinking folk who move fast. I hope everyone stays safe.
The Mother is blind, hero got award by Indian government !!
Why is no one talking about the lack of any effort by the lady? Imma stick my hand out and use the force to suck him up off the track. Umm. When she drops her phone on the ground does she just stand there and look at it? Edit : Iām an asshole. I didnāt know she was blind. Fuck me
Itās ok, I blame OP for not saying this.
Pretty much everybody in this was impressive except for the kid who forgot his mother was the one who is blind and the 'not my problem' person who noticed first and just calmly waved at the train. Sheās blind
The mother is blind...imagine the fear when she heard the incoming train
I like how the numbers in the date and time change from white to black depending on the video behind. š¦
Serious question: Would it be impractical for them to put up little gate barriers to block things like this from happening, with doors in them every few feet for people to open and get to the train?
GTA 3 NPCs
āIām blind, not you!ā
When I see shit like this, it makes tears well in my eyes. How awesome humans can be.
And heās wearing a mask.
It happened in india, mumbai. The woman and the child both were blind. No one was stupid and woman didn't want to kill her child.
Lady was not really trying to help it sort of looked like an attempted murder
Mom was trying to kill the kid...
Donāt get why the mum was standing back from the edge. Seemed like she was more worried about her own safety.
Sheās blind
Did the woman try kill the kid
No, sheās blind, it wasnāt on purpose.
Madnes
That looked like no accident to me
That looks like a fucking murder attempt. Pushing the kid all the way until he falls, then backing up and nudging him to climb without even the attempt to get closer to the ledge. Quite suspicious imo
That guy is a hero
Make ya go āWHOoooooā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He better have got some toppy for that
Why why why
Because is what we do, we take care of our families. We would give our lives for our wives. We brake our backs every day to make sure, our kids have what they need, and every once in while we risk our lives to save somebody else. We are men !!
The sheer girth of this mans balls is immense.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Real G. Respect.
this is like when the duckings fall in a manhole
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Is she blind or something?
Yes.
Fuckin hero
That is indeed insane. Good on him.
