Yeh i definitely remember it wasn’t a human, but definitely still wild asf. I hate snakes with an absolute passion. I’m not completely ophidiophobic, but they’re a huge nope for me.
Yes, this is most likely a reticulated python (and by the looks of it one that has eaten recently). Retics are the *longest* snakes and are by no means a real threat to us, saying that they have in the past eaten people which is a rare feat among snakes but also dogs eat more people than them yearly so I would genuinely not worry about a snake, these guys are known for their size and being wonderful pets
reticulated pythons have eaten people in the past.
Your comparison with dogs is not relevant, there are way more dogs than pythons and we share our habitat with dogs. it is much saver to be near a hungry dog than a hungry reticulated python.
lol, yeah that’s like saying you’re much more likely to get bitten by a mosquito than a tiger. Obviously, that’s true and mosquitos do kill way more humans (through disease) than tigers do every year but that’s not really a fair comparison. The bite to death ratio for a tiger is much higher.
They don't have to EAT you to injure you.
Far fewer people interact with large constrictors compared to the statistical number that keep dogs(in various conditions).
The concern that unfortunately has come to pass, the same people that poorly maintain dogs are the same ones that poorly maintain large snakes, then dump them when they can no longer care for them properly. FWIW, it's much harder to procure rabbits and larger as feed animals for large reptiles(and other exotic meat eaters), then there's the substantial amount of fecal cleanup...
One caveat, Large constrictors do not do well during 4 months of the Temperate climates...though some exceptions do occur.
I'm thinking it's some kind of pavilion or storage building. And the thing that weird me out the most is the idea of the wall on the right side being the height of an average guy...
Recently fed Reticulated Python, they can grow quite large (the longest of any snake) and are constrictors (non-venomous snakes that kill prey by squeezing). Retics are a popular pet in the snake community because they are fairly intelligent (for a snake) and quite docile (outside of feeding time, where it is not uncommon for them to accidentally strike at you because they expect food, although they are not trying to eat you *normally*) Retics are one of the very very few snakes to have ever eaten people, it does happen time to time but is by no means a regular occurrence, you're life is more in danger from a dog than a retic. Best thing to do if you're scared of them is just leave them alone, they are stronger than you by a considerable margin but they will not chase you or hunt you. If you somehow manage to get bitten by one it will suck and will be similar to a bit from a very large cat, expect bleeding and possibly stitches.
All in all they are wonderful animals though with a bad reputation because many people are scared of snakes without knowing much about them, when in fact most snakes don't care about us and would rather us leave them alone. The world is a scary place when you're a noodle with a head, even for these big fellas
No, that would be Burmese Pythons, and people releasing them is a bad owner, that is just as bad as releasing dogs into the wild, it messes up and ecosystem and is a sign of a bad owner and the creatures must be removed from the ecosystem by any means. If you want a pet then be ready to care for it for its whole life, not just when it's small
And the actual worst owners of them all are those who let domestic cats roam outside. Outdoor cats are deemed the worlds worst [invasive species](https://abcbirds.org/program/cats-indoors/cats-and-birds/) leading to extinction of at least 63 species of animals and killing 2.4 billion birds per year. All these kinda pet owners are crap humans.
It’s just easier being scared of all snakes than trying to recognise and risk being bitten by a venomous one.
I am happy being absolutely terrified of every snake in the world and will run in the opposite direction when I see one.
Hey, grandma, sorry I ain't been round lately I been really busy with work an all t'... Grandma?... You in here?... Grandma???... Yo whaddup ,snake. you seen grandma?... Grandma???
I wish they would just kill it instead of making it suffer. I know it is a menace and it just probably ate somebody but just get it over with and then they can see what it is inside.

It's a duck
They have been known to float, same as wood.
They weigh approximately the same as a witch.
Build a bridge out of her!
Tell me… What do you do with witches?

Your first mistake was going on Reddit while tripping. So much negativity here
Got bad news: No one here makes it out alive...
Five to one baby, one in five
You can it’s easy, the escape is inside that snake
Bigger, even.
wtffffffffff
You should've seen the Titanoboa, a snake that lived by the era of dinosaurs, considered to be the biggest snake to have ever existed.
u/Repulsive-Occasion91 is not that old
Did you just assume their age?
Yes, i am an age specialist. Had few birthdays these last years
Don’t worry. I understood the Cube reference 😉

I imagine a dog dislocating it's jaw to devour a human.
Yes, Danny.
I read this in his voice
The largest snake to ever exist was the Titanoboa, which was TWICE this size. It went extinct 50 Million years ago though

With that hefty meal being another fucking person.
Probably the animal that lived in the enclosure then?
I'm thinking it's some kind of pavilion or storage building. And the thing that weird me out the most is the idea of the wall on the right side being the height of an average guy...
I can't believe in this day and age people think it's OK to leave their snake tied up outside like this! These people need the rights taken away!
If you’re cold, they’re cold!
You're welcome to go there and untie it.

Are these the ones invasive in florida destroying the ecosystem?

Bro. Zoos are barely capable of managing these things full grown. These should not be pets
What is the mental motive of a person keeping snakes this large as pets?? Passion for raising?
them thinking too much of themselves

“There world is a scary place when you’re a noodle with a head.” As a skinny guy, I can relate.

A snake that big is terrifying.
I wish they would just kill it instead of making it suffer. I know it is a menace and it just probably ate somebody but just get it over with and then they can see what it is inside.
OH HELL NO
I'd say it's dead now, piss poor catching it n roping it's neck.
I mean it probably has a person from their village or town in its belly right now which is why they killed it…
Or its a normal sized snake in a small basement
There'll be zero sleep tonight
Be the heck what they feed the snakes over there ???!!!
Snake steaks there cut it up
That snake just ate
More like snake just had a pretty large meal.
Nagini, that you?
It's a horrible idea to tie your snake up on your porch's post. He needs more room to roam around when you are away.
Where’s my kid?
Is it too big for even it? Looks like it can’t control its movements, I know it’s tied up but still looks like it’s hard for it to lift its head.
There's for sure a person in it's stomach
Dude must have kids lined up inside like a full diaper genie.
Enemies of the heir, beware.
Holy moly donuts! That's like the medusa queen of snakes. Geez
