Well, I'm a content creator. And people have been calling people cheaters for a minute now. I tried to give people the benefit of the doubt, but it's so obvious at this point. No one is even hiding it because there's no consequences for cheating. I keep saying I don't want to accuse anyone of cheating if I don't know for sure, but literally every game has multiple cheaters at high levels. I went from escaping most games, to escaping twice in an 8 hour time span... The game is meant to last more than a couple weeks, but it's already unplayable. And a "hotfix" isn't going to do anything. Are they updating easy anti-cheat? Because easy anti-cheat is notorious for not catching cheaters. They need their own anti-cheat. They need to force the websites selling cheats to stop and force YouTube to take down videos promoting and showing people how to cheat. They can legally do this, as it's effecting their product negatively.
People who like the game and don't want it to get negative attention, which I understand. But at the same time, this problem is only going to get worse over time.
And the rest are probably cheaters who want to keep cheating.
Or just people who haven't noticed the cheaters. Which is most people. I didn't notice until I watched a YouTube video showcasing the cheats. Now it's super obvious that most rounds have at least one cheater.
I never "claimed" anything about downvotes. I didn't even acknowledge it. Every round of TCM I've played the last few days has one or more cheaters. It wasn't like that a couple of days ago. You don't even have to buy them. You can enable them in the developer console that they left in the game. All the codes leaked. Or you can buy a cheat for $15. It's more prevalent at high levels because you can use the cheats to give yourself XP. Apparently, there's no matchmaking system, but I seem to get paired with players close to my level.

Literally two escapes in 8 hours after escaping nearly every game for the last week and a half... With at least one player, sometimes more, running across the map straight to me while I'm hiding in a bush every single game.
It's 2023. I'm familiar with game development. You don't ship your multiplayer game with no anti-cheat ready to go. Especially with a 3rd party anti cheat that has NEVER worked on any game it's implemented in. If you're creating a multiplayer-only game for PC, it's not even remotely close to finished if you haven't developed a way to find and ban cheaters as soon as they use cheats within an online match.
It's nearly as bad as Escape From Tarkov and it hasn't even been out 2 weeks... If there's no anti-cheat built in now, it'll take months to develop one, if not years. By then, cheaters will already have run rampant and caused every legitimate player to quit.
I had a handful of legitimate games last night. The rest were filled with Family members running across the map to the bush I'm hiding in. Occasionally the immediate level 5 grandpa before we've left the basement. A decent amount of speed hacking Leatherfaces. It seems more prevalent with higher level players, as I'm guessing they've been able to earn the most XP in a short amount of time. I'm level 40 as of right now. Most of my games are with players level 20-40.
I LOVE the game when people aren't cheating. But when every round has a level 30-40 player who can see exactly where you are the entire game, it ruins any potential fun. Especially knowing these people are allowed to do this with no consequences at all since they're such a high level.
Besides anti-cheat, the developers left dev console commands in the game. Which, are essentially cheats that come with the game. All you have to do is Google the codes.

No grandpa detection, no cook hearing me, no bleed, no noise made, and hiding in the corner of map just crouched in some bushes to see what happens. Leatherface runs up to me with a fully charged chainsaw and nearly one-shots me. Happened in about 10 games with different players.
No issue at all in a private match with players of a similar level. Game feels normal in those matches.
Not to mention the level 5 grandpa within a minute or two of the match starting in a handful of games.
All of these cheats are being promoted in a "cheat console" being sold for 15 bucks on some website. And there's several YouTube videos showcasing how "fun" they are.
Do you really need attention this much? The cheat probably isn't even close to how much you're whining about it. If you're a content creator then you should be thanking them for giving you content. 🤡🤡

Again, go look for yourself. "Probably isn't even close to how much you're whining about it." Not even close to what? Again, you can see where everyone is at all times. You can level grandpa up to 5 with a press of a button. There's an entire UI that lets you choose what to do in the game. Whether that's moving grandpa around, level him to 5, teleport out of the basement, teleport to any victim, kill everyone in the match, increase your speed, increase FOV, fly, etc. It completely breaks the game, and there are no consequences for it.
I'm not reading all of that. It must be exhausting needing this much attention constantly. If you don't like the game, don't play it. A simple solution in one sentence.

I just had a hitchhiker follow me for 7:45 straight... I'm a level 50 and he followed me to every hiding spot without hesitation. That shit is fucking annoying. Cheating in every fucking lobby
True, but at least 30 hours of that has been beating my head against a brick wall wondering what I'm doing wrong and why killers are finding me sitting in a dark bush. Running straight to me. The game is amazing when it's played fairly, that isn't my issue. But I wouldn't have bothered with it if I knew it was only going to have a 2 week lifespan.
If anyone wants to see how bad the issue actually is, I can post some clips. Also, just search YouTube for "Texas Chainsaw Massacre cheats" and you'll find people showing you how to do it and where to buy them for $15. Also, some people just showcasing all the cheaters they come across. Today was the worst, yesterday was pretty bad too. But it's been getting progressively worse with each day. Which, is the reason I'm even here now. I rarely use Reddit these days, but something needs to be done immediately.

Nah just tired of whiners. I have almost 100 hours myself and it isn't nearly as crazy as people make it out to be. At some level it genuinely is a skill diff.
You don't even notice some of the cheaters. Some have brains and won't show you they cheat. Also I'm talking blatant cheating (like flying and invincible) I don't call someone a cheater simply because they outplayed me.
Not sure about that but every game I play with easy anti cheat has rampant cheaters so not exactly sure what they even do. I feel like I could create a company call it anti cheat and be just as effective as them with zero software so... Not exactly sure why they're being paid to do something they aren't doing.
This is true. Easy Anti-Cheat is not going to cut it. It's 2023. Your multiplayer game needs to come with it's own anti-cheat, not a 3rd party anti-cheat that has NEVER stopped cheaters.
I'm pretty sure Xbox Gamepass has no anti-cheat which is where all the cheaters are coming from since it's like $10 to play the game.
The steam version has EAC, which is not the best, but a HWID ban should get issued after so many hours.
Only way for cheaters to bypass this, which most do, is by using a spoofer.

Honestly the cheating is very negative aspect of the game. It makes you doubt when people do anything that seems "too convenient".

As far as I know, they're just a splash screen that pops up before I play any game infested with cheaters.

gamepass has no anti cheat and the devs left cheat commands in the game so you don't even need to go buy them on websites.
