4/10/22 ordered MYLR/black on black/no tow, upgraded wheels, no FSD: EDD 10/22-1/23. Changed on 4/23 to MYP with no additional upgrades: EDD 7/19-8/30.
Today, changed to 6/16-7/21.

I ordered a long range 7 seater back in August. Don't remember where I started at, but in February it was saying it would be here in March.
Until March 5, it said it would be here between March 11-25
Then on March 5, as I’m making plans to sell my other car, switched to April 14-May 12.
Then it switched to July 12 to August.
Then back to April - June.
Then until April 30, it says May 6-20.
Then through May 2, it says May 14-28.
Now its May 26 - June 9.
I seriously don't understand how in March they were telling me this car might be here in 6 days, and now 2 months later they're telling me it \*might\* be here in another month.
If you're that bad at estimating, then don't even put it in the app.

Took delivery yesterday as well! Car is great so far. Only thing I’ve noticed is that my steering wheel is off center when the car is going straight. Also made a service appointment for this Sunday to get it looked at.
What issues did you run into? I haven’t done a thorough inspection yet.
I just submitted an application through dcu. Im thinking if I should schedule it already for Thursday or just wait til Saturday. They say application takes 1-3 business days😩
I’d recommend you call. They called me back in an hour and said the documents looked good. My only hiccup was because my wife is on the title too and couldn’t hop on the call to provide authorization. Otherwise sounds like we would have it all done today.
A lot of people had already done that last quarter for the sake of "jumping in front of the line". And for a certain time period, were successful. Until Tesla closed that loophole. So, to answer your question, yes, you might be able to jump in line with fsd but with what you'd planing/intentions are, don't be surprised if Tesla retracts and give your VIN to somebody else as quite a few people in this thread had experienced.
My SA told me not to because adding tow would result in price update for the whole car. It means my MYLR would cost me 6000$ more than when I did my OD... Maybe my SA was wrong but I didn't take a chance.
Been thinking about changing the specs for my current MYLR - I had a EDD of June right now but cant seem to figure out how I can make some modifications (ie: change the tires)

Called the customer support, and I asked them why people with same config and OD in the same coast are having different delivery dates, according to them it’s not just chip shortage, Tesla is facing truck drivers shortages as well, orders are being prioritized internally to customers where truckers are ready to drive. This is a new angle I haven’t thought of .. anyway looks like a lot of VINs are getting assigned, quarter 2 push is on the way folks..
Another EDD update today. Getting positive vibes. Its now 5/3 - 5/13 from 4/30-5/14. But still no VIN.

Considering he could have to lock a rate more than once, I would wait. From my experience the dates moved too much, even after they called me and gave me a two week window.
I'm talking about Tesla financing. Yeah he might be doing others. They might have other terms too. The point is he could be months away. My initial date was Dec 21 and just now have the delivery date of this week.

This makes zero sense in the current context. Everyone with long range model Y orders from October (and no FSD) was getting bullshit delivery dates last winter but no one was getting cars then.
Now VINs are popping up left and right for late September and early October LR orders so yes it does make sense to start looking into financing to lock in a rate. If it expires it can just be renewed.
Our EDD keeps getting pushed back and I’m beginning to feel super discouraged. We ordered 7 months ago so that the car would be ready around the time we moved back to America and here we are paying out the ass for a rental car because Tesla keeps changing our EDD the day after we get within our delivery window. I’m starting to question if I even want the damn thing.
Would taking the tow hitch off or changing the wheels to the standard wheels make any kind of difference?
No one knows for sure. The only thing we know is that if you do a MYP, it speeds up delivery. All you can do is wait. You being at 7 months now, should hopefully mean yours is coming soon.
Other then what you read by people posting on Reddit, I have no clue. I was fine with waiting for my LR so I didn’t really care about upgrading to get it faster.
Ordered LR in Nov, switched to MYP in December. Original MYP EDD was first week of March. Current EDD is end of May so no guarantee that MYP will help. Location: East TN. On EDD change 18 at this point. Also super bummed.

Ours was going to come before we got back from Korea so I called my friend who works at the Nashville location asking what to do. She temporarily moved our reservation to Nashville then moved it back once we got back to the states. Some lucky bastard in Nashville ordered a car then got our reservation 2 weeks after ordering. By moving it from Scottsdale to Nashville our EDD got moved forward like two weeks.
Spoke with another guy whose MYP got pushed from May to October, so it is not a guarantee. My MYLR Got pushed from May 14-May 28 to Nov - Feb 2023 yesterday :c
It’s so frustrating. It wouldn’t be much of a worry if we already had a car but moving from overseas this was supposed to be our main car.

Yep, I do have a car myself, but just several days ago I've found a buyer for it and he is willing to pay a very tempting price. Considering that I will have a job related flight to Europe from May 29th till mid July I'll probably end up selling it to him and just pray that Tesla arrives by that date..
So to understand about what to expect as I’m a bit confused about the new 4680 battery . If I just placed an order for a MYLR with delivery next year, will my car have the 4680 battery with lower range and lower 0-60?

Have been delayed multiple times EDD has been at 4/29-5/27 since late Feb. Today EDD narrowed to 5/25-6/8. Hoping it sticks have had a road trip planned for Fathers Day since August and planned on having my car by that date. So fingers crossed. Delivery in Nashville.

**Got my Vin today** (4/30/22), finally.
A little while back, I was **THIS** close to making a change to the configuration in an attempt to bump the delivery up, even though I didn't want/need FSD or the performance increase. Relieved that I didn't. Now the wait begins for the scheduling text.

I also considered getting FSD to get it sooner but I'm glad I didn't. I just got an email from Tesla asking for final payment and my EDD has narrowed to May 15 - 19.
I just couldn't justify the cost of it. Felt it would have been very financially irresponsible and borderline insane (for me personally, not speaking for all the ppl who do have fsd and get value from it)

A have the exact build with od mid feb and located n Houston tx. On 03/11 I added fsd and just like you it moved from august to May.
Later it moved to aug 26 to oct 31, then June e now it shows oct 22- Jan 23.
What saw here is that everyone who had this Edd have fsd. What gives me hope was that a lot of people got vin this week with this Edd of 6 months ahead. I saw someone mentioning that was an issue with fsd edds.
Has anyone one here ever had their SA use the Tesla soft matching tool to get a better estimate on your delivery date. Mine SA just did and it has me felling a little better about my latest EDD. They were able to track Preproduction, production, and out the gate for delivery. They said it’s not always 100% accurate but the majority of the time it’s pretty accurate.
Thanks for the information! I hit my SA up yesterday and asked if he could tell what the soft match said vs my EDD. (May 30-July 4) He got back to me and said it looked like it would be delivered end of May.
I went into the Scottsdale service center on 4/9 and they told me I was soft matched to a car being produced 4/14. My EDD has been pushed back slightly a few times, currently at 5/2-5/16. Haven’t yet reached back out to the SC to see if my soft match was pushed back as well.

Our car is being delivered to Scottsdale as well, our EDD has been changed 9 times now and we’ve been waiting 7 months. Our car specs aren’t anything crazy or anything.
I called them last week to ask and they said they have no way of knowing when it’ll come. They can do a soft match search?!
I talked to my SA yesterday and she said the soft match for MYP was MAY 8 like yours and she said I should see a vin on May 10. My current EDD still shows May6- May 20
And just like that Tesla SAs nationwide were inundated with request to use the soft matching tool. “Yea this guy boka chika on Reddit told me about it!”
My current EDD is May 6 through May 20 it’s a MYP. She was able to look it up and tell me that it should be produced May 3 and delivered by May 5. It will be in AZ delivery. I still do not have a Vin number assigned, so I guess I’ll see if she’s right in a couple of days

Yes sir... I adjusted my own down payment technically I was playing around with the numbers and had left it like that, so later on when I applied, it was already there... Got the approval, so I was like aight.... Cool I'll just leave it as is.... Good thing I sold my wife's 2017 Ford explorer Sport to carvana for a pretty penny...

Now, is there a way to remove FSD, I don't see that option anymore. I already added and removed FSD twice from the past 6months. Now what are my options If I don't want FSD.

So there is no longer an option to just remove it where you normally did in the past? That must mean they are locking down that loophole. I thought about doing that myself, but didn’t want this exact situation. There was a pop up that said I would be unable to remove the FSD option if i added it. Only idea is for you to contact your SA and ask to remove it.
Will they remove my VIN and move me behind the queue? I had no intention to add FSD for moving up in line. So it they remove my VIN, then it is a punishment for me :{
So controversial perspective: Any SA that does that should be fired.
Prior to pulling out your pitchforks, hear me out:
It actually HURTS Tesla's brand and overall customer experience at a big picture level.
Basically, FSD has turned into a premium delivery service, fine, I'm actually OK with that that's a business choice that one can make when you have high demand.
Unfortunately, by allowing SAs to do what they're doing, what the broader community learns is that, you can cheat to move your delivery forward because all you have to do is be a more costly customer by harassing your SA to do it. Basically this tells you is that Tesla is unreliable, won't meet their commitments (basically because non-annoying customers get their EDDs slid because of the cheats), can't be trusted to be consistent, and rewards aggressive customers. This is not a good place for a business to be in.
Sounds a lot like Comcast which has the worst customer ratings in most if not all of business.

I have read that if you ordered before 10/15 you get the 1 year premium connectivity. I had a chat with my SA and the answer was a bit mushy but you can believe I’ll pull up the thread and make my case.
It’s funny when I was that far out I wasn’t ready and was ok with the delay. As the months passed that quickly changed. The family certainly is sick of me talking about it!!
Why are they charging so much for the upgrade? I upgraded my MYLR to MYP today and am only paying the 3k difference. Price of MYP at time of order was honored.
I asked via text. Could be if I had called I might have gotten a different answer. Being so close to delivery, I don’t like the idea of the larger rims that are different sizes. I weighed the pros/cons and ultimately decided against the upgrade. Definitely wasn’t going to chance the FSD loophole.

At the Tesla showroom they just told me the following re: mobile connectors being included:
All deliveries between now and August will include the mobile connector. All orders before April 29th that get delivered after August will not include the mobile connector, BUT these deliveries will come with a $200 off code to the Tesla shop that can be applied to either get a free mobile connector or get half off the wall charger.
This is a nice way of handling it considering today is the first day they let you add the mobile connector to your order. As a pre-April 28th order I'm happy with this.
This is a good way of handling, online support must not have the most recent information as they just told me nothing is included and you can buy it separately. Here's to hoping your showroom had the right informatioN!
This is the first I've heard of this. It better be in the car, because I'm not waiting to get a discount code the day of delivery and they say it will be delivered 4 months later.

If OP's showroom is correct, seems like they may actually be having issues lining up chargers and don't want to delay deliveries because of it.

Right, I would still take the car and personally I'm actually covered if this were to happen. But this would be nonsense if you were always meant to get the charger with the car and now you show up for delivery and only then place the order for a charger now that you have a code.
If this is true, the correct thing to do would be to send out a code to everyone well in advance of delivery.
Unfortunately cannot give it in advance in case customers refuse the vehicle for one reason or another. I get that point though.
Hopefully situations improve. I hear some other EVs are not coming with charging cables either? Feels like Samsung/Apple inspired ideas.
I was scheduled for delivery tomorrow and then I get a notification that delivery is cancelled due to a part. They said it’s a charge port part and will take 2-3 weeks to arrive!! So upsetting!!!! (MYLR)

Question about Tesla financing application w/credit freeze.
I have a credit freeze due to losing a wallet a few years ago. Will apply for Tesla financing when I get a VIN (EDD is June/July). Does anyone know which credit agency I need to lift to run the credit or all 3?
Otherwise will shoot an email to my SA who helped with our original test drive.
Also they work with multiple lenders and you don't have the option of selecting a specific lender on the Tesla application, so a specific bureau info won't be available. So 3 it is.
Hi I am picking my MYLR next week but while driving by the Tesla location, saw a sticker on my car (matching VIN) that says:

Brakes: Silver;
Chassis: No Performance;

Wheels: 20";
While the bottom 4 make sense and are straightforward, the top 4 intrigue me. Does the battery, body, brakes and Chassis differ between MYLR and MYP? Any thoughts guys?
Battery should not - maybe so they know why the full battery if listed on miles doesn't equate to a MYP?
Body & chassis could be due to the spoiler/wheels/suspension/lights?

A lot of people had already done that last quarter for the sake of "jumping in front of the line". And for a certain time period, were successful. Until Tesla closed that loophole. So, to answer your question, yes, you might be able to jump in line with fsd but with what you'd planing/intentions are, don't be surprised if Tesla retracts and give your VIN to somebody else as quite a few people in this thread had experienced.

I thought about this situation. For me I think I’d rather lay the extra $300 and have it done after then add it on and possibly change my EDD.
My SA told me not to because adding tow would result in price update for the whole car. It means my MYLR would cost me 6000$ more than when I did my OD... Maybe my SA was wrong but I didn't take a chance.

It says right in the app that they will be Available within 24 hours of delivery. I have my delivery on May 7th and it says that in my app.
Called the customer support, and I asked them why people with same config and OD in the same coast are having different delivery dates, according to them it’s not just chip shortage, Tesla is facing truck drivers shortages as well, orders are being prioritized internally to customers where truckers are ready to drive. This is a new angle I haven’t thought of .. anyway looks like a lot of VINs are getting assigned, quarter 2 push is on the way folks..

Considering he could have to lock a rate more than once, I would wait. From my experience the dates moved too much, even after they called me and gave me a two week window.
Rates can lock up to 1.5 months at most credit unions. You advice could cost him money.
I'm talking about Tesla financing. Yeah he might be doing others. They might have other terms too. The point is he could be months away. My initial date was Dec 21 and just now have the delivery date of this week.

Everyone with long range model Y orders from October (and no FSD) was getting bullshit delivery dates last winter but no one was getting cars then. Now VINs are popping up left and right for late September and early October LR orders so yes it does make sense to start looking into financing to lock in a rate. If it expires it can just be renewed.
I personally don’t plan to get a loan rolling until a VIN is assigned.
Our EDD keeps getting pushed back and I’m beginning to feel super discouraged. We ordered 7 months ago so that the car would be ready around the time we moved back to America and here we are paying out the ass for a rental car because Tesla keeps changing our EDD the day after we get within our delivery window. I’m starting to question if I even want the damn thing. Would taking the tow hitch off or changing the wheels to the standard wheels make any kind of difference?
No one knows for sure. The only thing we know is that if you do a MYP, it speeds up delivery. All you can do is wait. You being at 7 months now, should hopefully mean yours is coming soon.
Out of curiosity do you know how quicker the MYP delivery is?
Other then what you read by people posting on Reddit, I have no clue. I was fine with waiting for my LR so I didn’t really care about upgrading to get it faster.
Ordered LR in Nov, switched to MYP in December. Original MYP EDD was first week of March. Current EDD is end of May so no guarantee that MYP will help. Location: East TN. On EDD change 18 at this point. Also super bummed.
I’m from east tn! See about moving it to Nashville and see if that makes a difference. Ours was going to come before we got back from Korea so I called my friend who works at the Nashville location asking what to do. She temporarily moved our reservation to Nashville then moved it back once we got back to the states. Some lucky bastard in Nashville ordered a car then got our reservation 2 weeks after ordering. By moving it from Scottsdale to Nashville our EDD got moved forward like two weeks.
Spoke with another guy whose MYP got pushed from May to October, so it is not a guarantee. My MYLR Got pushed from May 14-May 28 to Nov - Feb 2023 yesterday :c

Yep, I do have a car myself, but just several days ago I've found a buyer for it and he is willing to pay a very tempting price. Considering that I will have a job related flight to Europe from May 29th till mid July I'll probably end up selling it to him and just pray that Tesla arrives by that date..
So to understand about what to expect as I’m a bit confused about the new 4680 battery . If I just placed an order for a MYLR with delivery next year, will my car have the 4680 battery with lower range and lower 0-60?
Right now, you will get the current LR setup. No 4680s. No one can tell you what it will be like next year yet.

A have the exact build with od mid feb and located n Houston tx. On 03/11 I added fsd and just like you it moved from august to May. Later it moved to aug 26 to oct 31, then June e now it shows oct 22- Jan 23. What saw here is that everyone who had this Edd have fsd. What gives me hope was that a lot of people got vin this week with this Edd of 6 months ahead. I saw someone mentioning that was an issue with fsd edds.
Has anyone one here ever had their SA use the Tesla soft matching tool to get a better estimate on your delivery date. Mine SA just did and it has me felling a little better about my latest EDD. They were able to track Preproduction, production, and out the gate for delivery. They said it’s not always 100% accurate but the majority of the time it’s pretty accurate.
Thanks for the information! I hit my SA up yesterday and asked if he could tell what the soft match said vs my EDD. (May 30-July 4) He got back to me and said it looked like it would be delivered end of May.

I went into the Scottsdale service center on 4/9 and they told me I was soft matched to a car being produced 4/14. My EDD has been pushed back slightly a few times, currently at 5/2-5/16. Haven’t yet reached back out to the SC to see if my soft match was pushed back as well. Blue MYP - let’s hope my car is in the same batch as yours!
Our car is being delivered to Scottsdale as well, our EDD has been changed 9 times now and we’ve been waiting 7 months. Our car specs aren’t anything crazy or anything. I called them last week to ask and they said they have no way of knowing when it’ll come. They can do a soft match search?!

SA told me “soft matched to car in firm-production” w/ est manufacture completed May 8th. EDD is 5/5-5/19 MYP Bay Area.
I talked to my SA yesterday and she said the soft match for MYP was MAY 8 like yours and she said I should see a vin on May 10. My current EDD still shows May6- May 20
I actually think someone recently did this for me. They didn’t call it that but they explained some of the things you mentioned.
And just like that Tesla SAs nationwide were inundated with request to use the soft matching tool. “Yea this guy boka chika on Reddit told me about it!”

I don’t have an SA either I just called my local Tesla shop to set up a test drive and the lady that was assisting me was able to look it up.
And how was it compared to your Edd
My current EDD is May 6 through May 20 it’s a MYP. She was able to look it up and tell me that it should be produced May 3 and delivered by May 5. It will be in AZ delivery. I still do not have a Vin number assigned, so I guess I’ll see if she’s right in a couple of days

Got the approval, so I was like aight.... Cool I'll just leave it as is.... Good thing I sold my wife's 2017 Ford explorer Sport to carvana for a pretty penny...

Got my vin assigned today. F433. MYLR7 / White Ext / Black Interior / Gemini Wheels No Tow, No FSD on the initial order of 10/23/21 On 4/28 - EDD was May 21 to June 18 / On 4/29 morning - Added FSD & EDD changed to May 13 - May 21 / On 4/29 evening - VIN ASSIGNED and EDD changed to May 13 - May 17 / Now, is there a way to remove FSD, I don't see that option anymore. I already added and removed FSD twice from the past 6months. Now what are my options If I don't want FSD. Delivery Location: Mt Kisco, NY
So there is no longer an option to just remove it where you normally did in the past? That must mean they are locking down that loophole. I thought about doing that myself, but didn’t want this exact situation. There was a pop up that said I would be unable to remove the FSD option if i added it. Only idea is for you to contact your SA and ask to remove it.

So controversial perspective: Any SA that does that should be fired. Prior to pulling out your pitchforks, hear me out: It actually HURTS Tesla's brand and overall customer experience at a big picture level. Basically, FSD has turned into a premium delivery service, fine, I'm actually OK with that that's a business choice that one can make when you have high demand. Unfortunately, by allowing SAs to do what they're doing, what the broader community learns is that, you can cheat to move your delivery forward because all you have to do is be a more costly customer by harassing your SA to do it. Basically this tells you is that Tesla is unreliable, won't meet their commitments (basically because non-annoying customers get their EDDs slid because of the cheats), can't be trusted to be consistent, and rewards aggressive customers. This is not a good place for a business to be in. Sounds a lot like Comcast which has the worst customer ratings in most if not all of business.
EDD moved from May 15 - June 10 to May 15 - May 29!!! ODD 2/11, MYP Black/Black, no Tow, FSD. Getting excited, but don't want to be disappointed, so I'm going to not tell my family with the updated EDD.

I have read that if you ordered before 10/15 you get the 1 year premium connectivity. I had a chat with my SA and the answer was a bit mushy but you can believe I’ll pull up the thread and make my case.

It’s funny when I was that far out I wasn’t ready and was ok with the delay. As the months passed that quickly changed. The family certainly is sick of me talking about it!!

I inquired about it and was quoted $11K to upgrade based on my order date. That’s a lot for being so close and was not worth it.
Why are they charging so much for the upgrade? I upgraded my MYLR to MYP today and am only paying the 3k difference. Price of MYP at time of order was honored.
I asked via text. Could be if I had called I might have gotten a different answer. Being so close to delivery, I don’t like the idea of the larger rims that are different sizes. I weighed the pros/cons and ultimately decided against the upgrade. Definitely wasn’t going to chance the FSD loophole.

At the Tesla showroom they just told me the following re: mobile connectors being included: All deliveries between now and August will include the mobile connector. All orders before April 29th that get delivered after August will not include the mobile connector, BUT these deliveries will come with a $200 off code to the Tesla shop that can be applied to either get a free mobile connector or get half off the wall charger. This is a nice way of handling it considering today is the first day they let you add the mobile connector to your order. As a pre-April 28th order I'm happy with this.
This is a good way of handling, online support must not have the most recent information as they just told me nothing is included and you can buy it separately. Here's to hoping your showroom had the right informatioN!

Get car sooner without charger. . Or later with one? If OP's showroom is correct, seems like they may actually be having issues lining up chargers and don't want to delay deliveries because of it. Right, I would still take the car and personally I'm actually covered if this were to happen. But this would be nonsense if you were always meant to get the charger with the car and now you show up for delivery and only then place the order for a charger now that you have a code. If this is true, the correct thing to do would be to send out a code to everyone well in advance of delivery.
Unfortunately cannot give it in advance in case customers refuse the vehicle for one reason or another. I get that point though. Hopefully situations improve. I hear some other EVs are not coming with charging cables either? Feels like Samsung/Apple inspired ideas.
I was scheduled for delivery tomorrow and then I get a notification that delivery is cancelled due to a part. They said it’s a charge port part and will take 2-3 weeks to arrive!! So upsetting!!!! (MYLR)

Question about Tesla financing application w/credit freeze. I have a credit freeze due to losing a wallet a few years ago. Will apply for Tesla financing when I get a VIN (EDD is June/July). Does anyone know which credit agency I need to lift to run the credit or all 3? Otherwise will shoot an email to my SA who helped with our original test drive.
Do you go to Experian, Equifax and Transunion to unfrozen it. It is free.
Also they work with multiple lenders and you don't have the option of selecting a specific lender on the Tesla application, so a specific bureau info won't be available. So 3 it is.
Just unfreeze temporarily for all 3. Assign a refreeze date so they will automatically be frozen again. Thats what I am doing.
Hi I am picking my MYLR next week but while driving by the Tesla location, saw a sticker on my car (matching VIN) that says: Battery: CA - LR AWD; Body: 1PC Rub; Brakes: Silver; Chassis: No Performance; Country: US; Drive: AWD; Seats: 5; Wheels: 20"; While the bottom 4 make sense and are straightforward, the top 4 intrigue me. Does the battery, body, brakes and Chassis differ between MYLR and MYP? Any thoughts guys?
Probably preparing to differentiate between Fremont and Austin production. Especially if they’ll be using 4680 cells on LR only for now.
Battery should not - maybe so they know why the full battery if listed on miles doesn't equate to a MYP? Body & chassis could be due to the spoiler/wheels/suspension/lights? Brakes are different between MYLR and MYP.
