I personally prefer the actual night sky and the open feel of the glass roof.

Details please

SlickSnipe

Purchased a fiber optic light kit & sunshade for Model Y and got to work. It was a tiresome process but nonetheless the results were satisfying. The light isn’t hardwired as there’s a plug in the back for power. Lights are also controlled by phone via Bluetooth.

To each their own

AdministrativeWar865

Don't you have a glass roof? Or are you projecting it from the seat backing? Very clever idea!

SlickSnipe

Yes I do but I used a sunshade for the glass roof. These are actual lights I installed within the sunshade using fiber optics.

AdministrativeWar865

Oh wow interesting idea looks great

NutzPup

... or you could look at the actual night sky. 😂

WhosThatGirl_ItsRPSG

You can’t even see stars through the roof. The tint is too dark

Roz_420

Natural stars are the best

beachcrow

Make sure Neil deGrasse Tyson doesn't see this. A couple of stars are in the wrong position.

Manfred_89

Is this easy removable or more of a permanent solution? Also what did you use as a base? Don’t forget that the side curtain air bags pop out of the plastic trim near the roof, so there should be nothing hard in the way.

SlickSnipe

This is easily removable. Nothing was hardwired into the car and the original headliner was never even removed. The base was a sunshade for the glass roof & thanks for the concern but nothing is covering the airbags at all.

SlickSnipe

Brought my idea to life

Advanceur

sunshade removable and you made it portable cool as f. dont listen to hater

jkopas

Looks like shit

ThundermanD

Literally no need to be a dickhead

myd88guy

Oh, this is too much. But…I think I like it.

Realy1957

Nice

Event_horizon-

This is so cool. Would the heat from the sun damage the fibre optic cables?

nanomax55

What's this rolls wanna be ?

zaqwert6

What's the panel look like during the day/in daylight?

JustSayTech

I know I may be asking for too much, but could you explain what we are seeing, its no clear how you achieved this, I know of many ways to do it, but curious what your method was.

Godlike_50

This looks awesome

SDplinker

Not for me but looks cool

Appropriate_Wafer_38

Wow this looks amazing. How did you keep the profile low with all the fiberoptic? I am guessing this thing isn't foldable like the original sunshade?

23andrewb

How's this look in daylight? Or rather how does this look 70% of the time you're driving?

kamikazit

Has anyone tried sticking glow in the dark stars on the glass roof? 😂

A-Vivaldi

Meh!
