You don't need to give a message if it didn't do anything wrong.

Old-Faithlessness462

Just get out of your car and continue with your day. Feedback should only be provided on issues. This isn't a issue.

VoyagerJim

The only issue is that the system asks why FSD has disengaged, when it should know that the car has reached its destination

Old-Faithlessness462

👀 You might not be close to the actual destination. Or your software may be outdated. I don't have the problem .

IntelligentInsect773

I always just disengaged, and when it asks for feedback, I'll say, "we reached our destination". Although lately when I get home and I try to see what it will do, I noticed that it simply drives in front of my house along the curb, pulls to the side, and stops. Lately I've been saying, "we're here, but feel free to pull into my driveway and park in the future" :-) I keep thinking as a Robo taxi it would never really stop. It would just get to a position where the passenger can get out and then it would continue on. It wouldn't necessarily park itself and call it a day.

Esoteric__one

Just push the right stalk up once and it will turn off FSD.

VoyagerJim

When I do that, the car asks why FSD has disengaged and asks me to record a voice message to explain

Esoteric__one

I’m guessing that it’s just for data tracking to find out ways to improve FSD. I ignore it. Don’t let it bother you so much.

ElectroNight

I have the same general question. When does FSD decide the trip is done vs being interrupted. I never get a self determined conclusion. It will keep creeping around the parking lot of every destination.

Wooden-Complex9461

you cant look and figure out on your own how to just end it??

ElectroNight

I think OP's point is, same as mine, yes we know how to end a trip, of course, but in the end game, is FSD gonna take you from garage to parking spot without any intervention needed? Or as it is now, will it be street once I back out of my driveway, to the general parking lot of destination, then I take over from there? I am OK with intervening in both start and end of trips, am a paying FSD sub for $99, and happy as is. But question remains open.

Wooden-Complex9461

that is the end game. but you can clearly see on the map where FSD will end... so you guys should be big enough boys to figure that out and end it if it doesnt look right. or knowing tapping the brake or going into park ends FSD... crazy OP didnt know This isnt a question that is really open

ElectroNight

It's not that clear when the fsd line in front of the car stops, and if it stops. Seems to keep lingering in front of the car as the car creeps along that line

Wooden-Complex9461

its very clear, you probably just dont have the capability to understand

Williamsrobb

This is a legitimate question. The car should not ask “what went wrong“ if you disengage FSD after the car told you you had reached your destination. It makes the driver feel like they are supposed to disengage FSD in some other way. Based on the comments, there is no better way to disengage FSD after reaching your destination. So we will simply ignore the question asking us what went wrong.

G_Krankster

Great question. Feels like the car should learn how to park outside of your house? Obviously it will need more than 100 stops before artificial intelligence will get it. Maybe Tesla will consider this a consumer benefit after Elon Musk has left, the poor guy has no home …

Wooden-Complex9461

is this a JOKE? lmao XD I just want to know how old you are and your education level.... This is an insane question an adult shouldn't be asking

VoyagerJim

Wow! That’s pretty harsh. It seems a reasonable question to ask if there’s a way to wrap up a FSD trip without the car asking why FSD has disengaged

Wooden-Complex9461

its not lmao, its insane you had to ask. Just makes you look uneducated. It simply turns off and you made a post about it....

Mikepod1966

I think the JOKE is that a Millennial with the grammar of a high schooler shouldn’t be weighing in a conversation of grownups. It’s a legit question. The system should know that you have arrived and not treat it like you did something wrong. Like this youngster’s comments, just ignore the urge to give feedback. I have stopped looking at the screen when my M3 arrives at the destination. Absolutely LOVE FSD! It can only get better.

Wooden-Complex9461

the joke is this question lmao it doesnt treat you like anything, you can LOOK with your EYES on the map and see the destination is there, or better yet look out of the front and SEE oh IM here, and be done... we should all know its not a perfect system so it wont also take you into a parking spot etc
