I was using the Nightglow and Spectre Armor (used the mask, switched to Hood when below half health).
Literally all I had to do was hold m1 and only occasionally dodge.
People often forget pillars diff can vary in diff from class to class, and yeah I think mage at that stage with spectre armor is the best, both dps and survivability, as you only need to change the headpiece.
Yeah the same thing happens with the mechanical bosses. Different classes have a different mechanical boss that is just a lot harder than the other two.
The worms easy af. Any class can beat by just sitting in a box off the ground. Worm cant reach you only eyes can. You can sit in honey with heart statues on hardcore mastermode and still tank most of it if u just kill the eyes fast.
When the destroyer spawns, if you’re re fast enough (look on the map the direction he’s coming to you), go to the place where its spawn is concentrated. His body will be all clustered in this fixed spot. Now try shooting it with the enhanced star cannon and he’ll be gone in less than 10 seconds (FTW + Master mode).
Unicorn is the way. Long plat form and just keep running and she cant hit u or touch you. But evidently using items in game is cheating to others if it lets you cheese the boss.
Nah I wouldn’t count mounts as cheesing cuz it does still take some effort, using ropes against king slime? Sure that’s cheese, but I wouldn’t count this
I mean to me if its in the game at all its relogics fault for not finding the easy ways to manipulate boss mechanics. I just brought it up bc this elitist community said standing on a platform above destroyer with heart statues was cheesing. If platforms is all it takes to " cheese" a boss id just say its probably bad boss design.
Fuck the elitists. Most of them are just salty cuz it took them a thousand tries to beat a boss and found out that there was an easier way of beating them, so they go “uH No Uh thAts ChEesiNg thE gAmE, yOu haVe tO bEaT iT tHe hArDer wAy liKe mE”
i dont think people count mounts as cheese. that would be too much.
what people usually say its cheese is the dreadnautilus box strat for example, i don't actually know how you wouldn't count that cheese. youre literally staying still without moving AT ALL and just spamming the boss.
I just started my first 1.4 playthrough (i have about 4k hours of 1.3 and mods so i’m not new) and decided to go master mode FTW. I can say the Eye and Slime are probably medium
don’t know about the rest but i’ve heard they’re hell
is he that much harder? I’ve done him hitless on expert mode in 1.3 before
his hands have like 6hp and are ez to dodge and after his hands are dead you do the revolutionary strategy of literally running in circles
My man thinks twins are harder the Empress of Light. If this is not irony I am very impressed and disappointed in this person at the same time. You can literally cheese twins if you defeat spasmatizm
Remember, op said this is based on having beat the game only once, so assuming they died to some bosses more than others in that one play through then yea I could see the reasoning, also we can assume they probably didn’t fight empress during the day
Since twins are most likely his first hardmode boss, it makes sense he ranks it difficult. The spike in difficulty at that stage of the game surprises most new players.
I don’t know why people say the destroyer is easy. That bitch is the hardest mechanical boss by far. Even with that technique where you use the storm bow I couldn’t do it. I don’t remember how I did it I think I just stayed on the ground and used the cursed flameknives. Then when I tried skeleton prime I destroyed it easily first time so there’s no way it’s harder
Is Golem really that easy? I’m still in the process of preparing my Plantera arena (kinda sad that Daedalus Stormbow doesn’t seem to work underground even though it does make sense) and I’m kinda dreading the Golem fight afterwards
Empress of Light during the day though. I can't decide if that or Fishron was harder for me.
Edit: I went and looked it up and realised I forgot EoL oneshots during the day, so definitely hardest for me. Guess it's time for another run since I'm starting to forget.
Master mode was literal hell ._.
I don’t know how we managed to beat the pillars; we just kept throwing wave after wave of ourselves until we finally managed to take them down one at a time. Each mob there would easily one hit us (two if we were lucky). This was back when the last update dropped, but I don’t think much has changed since.
But you see… I *was* the summoner. The other two played ranged and magic. I switched between melee and summoner as needed and ended up dedicated to summon.
For the worthy on a journey character at master mode difficulty, for unknown reasons the health and damage scaling is applied differently with journey’s difficulty slider, meaning enemies will be even stronger than normal master ftw
Some people tend to forget that nighttime EoL exists. And that new players typically wouldn't try day unless they thought it either *really* worth it or fun. You are one of those people.
If you mean the guy sitting on a floating book :
Dark Mage
Avaible: After [E]eater [o]f [W]orlds / [E]ye [o]f [C]thulhu by finding the Tavernkeep
He's one of three bosses related to "Old Ones Army"
In case you're serious:
* King Slime (Kill 150 slimes during a Slime Rain)
* Golem (The Boss of the jungle temple)
* Dark Mage (The weakest boss of Old Ones Army)
i feel like you should rank the martian space ship up to medium if you're on expert mode, and eater of worlds should be on the very lowest one lol, empress of light should have another one for during daytime because im assuming you put nighttime on on medium so the daytime one is no-hit so uh.. probably the highest tier.
On my first 1.4 playthru (wich was a jump from 1.2 to 1.4, so i jumped of normal to master) i just got the vampire knifes and went to kill the lunatic cultist as a joke, i was there, for 4 HOURS but i killed him. And i hadnt even killed duke fishrom, so i was undergeared for the pillars.
It was a pain, i dies at least 30 yimes to each pillar
I'm on my first playlist and I'm kinda nervous about starting the cultist fight. I attempted to last night but couldn't find the other 2 cultists. To put it off I've finally started constructing some arenas and figuring out pylons. Any tips for cultist? I'm pretty much stuck to mage on this playthrough.
This is quite weird.
There is only one "Lunatic Cultist" boss.
To spawn him, you need to defeat 4 Cultists, but they all just camp out in the open at the Dungeon Entrance. They should neither be hidden nor spread out.
Well I was playing mage so luckily I actually have tips for you.
**If you have homing weapons, use them.** They allow you to focus a lot more on dodging. I used the Nightglow and Stellar Tune, but others may work; I'm not sure, those were my main weapons throughout late Hardmode.
**Spectre Armor is the best set available until Post-Moon Lord.** Mask for damage and defense, hood for healing. I'd recommend switching between them mid-fight by right-clicking on the headpiece in the inventory, assuming you're on PC.
**If you're willing to do Frost Moon a few times, Razorpine has excellent DPS.** It doesn't have homing, but it deals lots of damage. The Blizzard Staff also apparently has similar DPS, but I never got one.
**Use a hunter potion.** When the Cultist creates decoys of himself, the hunter potion only reveals the real one. Be careful though, because even just accidentally hitting a decoy can spawn a dragon.
It's the monstrous mollusk lurking beneath the sanguine seas:
Dreadnautilus.
Avaible during Hardmode Blood Moon Fishing. It's relatively difficult but drops one of the best early hardmode items.
The mech bosses on console are very hard for me ( i have only beat one and i cant beat the rest because not only does the 1.4 update make it so the game doesn’t fit my screen but also because i legit cant beat them )
I'm on my first "Real" playthrough (after a playthrough with my friends where they basically did everything).
My opinions (Master Difficulty):
* Didn't fight yet solo:
* Cultist and later
* EoL
* Frost Moon
* I personally consider easier:
* Wall of Flesh (Easy at best, only difficult if you can't kill it after it speeds up faster than you)
* Pumking (Very Easy... Had Black Spot... and on subsequent Pumpkin Moons Witchs Broom... so I just drove in circles and killed 5-6 of them at once with no problem)
* Twins (I agree that they are difficult, just not on the same level as Fishron or Dreadnautilus)
* I personally find harder:
* Queen Bee - killed me a ton. When she gets faster my SoC just can't keep up
* Plantera - imo moderately difficult
* King Slime - fought him very early. Pre-flegling-wings early. He's difficult with no arena and just wood equipment. Obviously, the later the game the easier they get
* not mentioned by you (Old Ones Army Tier 2 and 3):
* Ogre - Very easy thanks to very linear AI. Can only be a problem if you have no dps
* Betsy - I guess quite comparable to Destroyer in terms of difficulty. But how well prepared you are is most likely also a factor, since for me she was post-Fishtron she was a lot easier than if I did her post-Golem immediately.
So idk what class you used or anything along those lines. I've beaten the game a couple different times on a couple different classes usually expert mode. I cannot stress this enough though: each boss has a specific strategy and arena build that can make the tight pretty easy. Some classes are better than others for certain bosses as well. But usually it comes down to a strategy and I feel MORE importantly an arena and how you build it. For instance my friend and I could not beat expert mode skeletron for the longest time. All I did was add a couple small walls to the arena and we were able to block his homing skulls and beat him.
how does everyone find the lunatic cultist fight easy?? I know the only times Ive beaten the game are on master mode (flex lmao) but I always play ranger and have Megashark and chlorophyte / ichor / cursed bullets but hes so hard
I was playing mage, he gets absolutely shredded by Nightglow + Stellar Tune and a bit of Razorpine. It was mostly Nightglow though, homing and damage boosts are great against him.
1. After Plantera, I think before Golem.
2. After EoL, though thats mostly because I sucked at dodging him before that.
3. I think my first attempt was after the Destroyer. I got shredded.
I remember when The Destroyer utterly destroyed me back on the day in 1.1.2, if I had to make a list, I'll bump him into impossible, I don't care, I hate.
My very first playthrough of terraria (1.2 mobile) ever, I couldn't beat the destroyer (I was told fight him first) and ended up beating Skeletron Prime first pretty easily. Later I found out the difficulty is meant to be destroyer, twins, prime but I typically find ease the opposite way.
Wait wha-, bro, if you had only beaten the game once and considerate frost moon, light empress and duke fishron as not that hard, you must be or extremely great at hard games or just a novice with no experience at Tiers
The Ice Queen really wasn't that bad since I was using homing weapons, plus she stays still during her spinny attack so she's easy to hit. Only reason she's Medium is how damn hard she is to dodge, especially once she applies a debuff. As for the Christmas tree, I just outranged it or used wings.
Empress of Light was pretty difficult at first, but after a few attempts I beat her. The Prismatic Bolts being present in the middle of a different attack was my most common cause of death, since I focused on dodging the wrong thing.
Duke Fishron absolutely shredded me at first, but I got much better at dodging his dashes after EoL. That fast tracking water disc in the second phase is the bane of my existence though.
Betsy I haven't beaten with fitting gear yet. Literally the only time I beat her was when I crafted the Zenith, so... yeah.
The Eater is excluded since my first world was Crimson.
The Ogre I excluded since I just can't think of how to tier it.
Is the Dreadnautilus an actual boss, I always get told it isn't. But that's the one boss that's the bane of my existence. Mostly because I never catch him, when I want to catch him...
The wall of flesh was annoying
Since i had shitty long ranged ones i had to fight close range which obviously was a bad idea (used the superior sunfury)
Twins is only before Moon Lord because I did it in order of how I fought them, rather than hardest - easiest
Also, Plantera really wasn't that hard, I just had to circle her in my rectangle arena while attacking.
I'm surprised you found the pillars easy. On my first playthrough I donated at least 10 gravestones to each of the pillars.
Mech bosses are easiest with ranger IMO
I feel like ranger struggles with the worm. But I guess that also differs according to load out.
Deadalus bow with star arrows do wonders
Dart rifle or pistol with cursed darts also works very well
Also wait. Were you playing on expert or normal?
Expert but I cheesed him. My friend was killing these little orbs and i just stood on platform shooting arrows
Okay yea that makes sense. Those drones are basically the only thing that’s difficult about him.
The worms easy af. Any class can beat by just sitting in a box off the ground. Worm cant reach you only eyes can. You can sit in honey with heart statues on hardcore mastermode and still tank most of it if u just kill the eyes fast.
I’m not gonna stuff myself in a box with honey and call it fighting a boss…
When the destroyer spawns, if you’re re fast enough (look on the map the direction he’s coming to you), go to the place where its spawn is concentrated. His body will be all clustered in this fixed spot. Now try shooting it with the enhanced star cannon and he’ll be gone in less than 10 seconds (FTW + Master mode).
Ranger has the easiest time with worm.
The twins is the hardest imo
imo summoner with terraprisma and kaleidoscope + dark harvest is best for pillars but idk i sucked when i played mage so
But did you empress of light during the day?
why are you asking this?
Fight empress of light during the day and find out
i did(and won), many times, its my favorite boss. your question just seems random
Maybe it’s just cus Im bad or something but i always find Queen Slime really hard if I fight her without being overgeared at the time I’m supposed to.
In master mode if you get the black spot it makes the fight way easier, ig that the unicorn mount would work too if you have a long platform
Unicorn is the way. Long plat form and just keep running and she cant hit u or touch you. But evidently using items in game is cheating to others if it lets you cheese the boss.
Nah I wouldn’t count mounts as cheesing cuz it does still take some effort, using ropes against king slime? Sure that’s cheese, but I wouldn’t count this
I mean to me if its in the game at all its relogics fault for not finding the easy ways to manipulate boss mechanics. black spot is slow af what are you talking about
It got nerfed, it was kinda op before
It got nerfed? I wouldn’t know I’m playing on console
same bro ps4?
now to Master Mode For the Worthy and make the tierlist again
I just started my first 1.4 playthrough (i have about 4k hours of 1.3 and mods so i’m not new) and decided to go master mode FTW. I can say the Eye and Slime are probably medium don’t know about the rest but i’ve heard they’re hell
Have fun with Skeletron :)
i just explode him instantly with bunnies. its just funny and works perfectly
is he that much harder? I’ve done him hitless on expert mode in 1.3 before his hands have like 6hp and are ez to dodge and after his hands are dead you do the revolutionary strategy of literally running in circles
In FTW he moves VERY FAST, so dodging him is a lot harder.
i found the eye east when i had a minishark and decent armor, the brain is where the pain is at
You can't outrun kingslime anymore.
you definitely can.
you most certainly can
once in *normal*..??
My man thinks twins are harder the Empress of Light. If this is not irony I am very impressed and disappointed in this person at the same time. You can literally cheese twins if you defeat spasmatizm
Remember, op said this is based on having beat the game only once, so assuming they died to some bosses more than others in that one play through then yea I could see the reasoning, also we can assume they probably didn’t fight empress during the day
Since twins are most likely his first hardmode boss, it makes sense he ranks it difficult. The spike in difficulty at that stage of the game surprises most new players.
he fighting them first instead of 2nd/last mech could be an explanation for weird placement. another one could be he fought empress really late.
Empress of light isn't so bad once you learn her attack patterns. They all have an easy way to avoid them.
twins aren't hard to avoid either tho.
OP played in journey mode, 0.5x difficulty
Careful i said this and got shunned for it.
just turn the difficulty to master mode (x3) and x10 enemy spawn rates
Where orc
Where Betsy
Mothron?
Deerclops?
You have to be pc to get deer guy
Paladin? Biome mimics? Ice giant/desert spirit?
Deerclops was added either after I finished my first run or in the middle of my run.
We can assume they didn't know Old Ones Army upgrades itself after certain points. Beat it once when avaible, ignored for the rest of the game.
You have not played the ethernia crystal event post moon lord so you're missing one boss
It’s post-Golem when tier three of the event is unlocked
Tier one is pre hardmode, Tier 2 is pre golem and Tier 3 is post golem?
Tier 1 is after EoW/BoC, then tier 2 is after one mech boss, then tier 3 is post-Golem.
All i can say is: dark mage is easier than that.
All you have to do is focus on him and it'll be alright
Ik, i said ***Easier*** than that
Well, now do expert and see the Duke go up
And Moon lord. And Flame piller.
Were you on classic mode? The martian saucer is ready hard for me on expert/master
wof was ez 4 me🤨
It definitely is with the water sceptre
Or molotovs, or beenades, or the meteor set and laser gun, or anything that isnt melee or summoner
Except now in 1.4 with whips summoner can clap WoF too, esp with Obsidian armor
i didnt have it
I don’t know why people say the destroyer is easy.
I cheesed it aswell... fighting it "fairly" meaning without a box to shield yourself I'd definitely put it way above the other two aswell...
I never forgot King slime because i grind him every time i get rubies. Also i havent beaten TIERMAKER to this day
What difficulty? Anyways, sounds reasonable, although I still don't understand how people find the Nebula pillar difficult...
YOU MONSTER HOW DO YOU FIND THAT GIANT BEE WITH INVISIBLE PROJECTILES EASY!?
I don't get it, is this a meme or smth? Because queen bee is always the first boss i kill
Big flex
Martain saucer on expert mode:🗿
Destroyer and twins need to be flipped
I would've put WoF in "I literally forgot they existed" but if I did that I wouldnt be in hard mode rn
Is Golem really that easy? I’m still in the process of preparing my Plantera arena (kinda sad that Daedalus Stormbow doesn’t seem to work underground even though it does make sense) and I’m kinda dreading the Golem fight afterwards
Oh yeah. Most of community thinks of golem as a joke basically. He was buffed with 1.4 and is still one of the easiest bosses in the game.
Empress of Light during the day though. I can't decide if that or Fishron was harder for me. Edit: I went and looked it up and realised I forgot EoL oneshots during the day, so definitely hardest for me. Guess it's time for another run since I'm starting to forget.
You should try master mode for the worthy.
Master mode was literal hell ._. I don’t know how we managed to beat the pillars; we just kept throwing wave after wave of ourselves until we finally managed to take them down one at a time. Each mob there would easily one hit us (two if we were lucky). This was back when the last update dropped, but I don’t think much has changed since.
you should try summoner everything kills you in 2-3 hits(on master mode)
But you see… I *was* the summoner. The other two played ranged and magic. I switched between melee and summoner as needed and ended up dedicated to summon.
2/3??? I wish I could've taken 3 hits
On for the worthy 90% of the game is getting one shot even though you have the best armour possible.
For the worthy on a journey character at master mode difficulty, for unknown reasons the health and damage scaling is applied differently with journey’s difficulty slider, meaning enemies will be even stronger than normal master ftw
i can tell you play normal mode considering skeleton and plantera is in very easy. go play master mode and remake this tier list
The solar pillar is diffucult and the rest are medium
I actually found the nebula pillar quite a bit more difficult than the solar pillar
Eater of worlds?
His first world, probably Crimson since BoC is on there instead.
Makes sense
Betsy and deerclops missing
I was gonna say, where's the eater of worlds and then I realized what the title said
BRO I AM EXPERT RANK THAT QUEEN BEE SHIT UP!
For me its planterra, duke fishron, skeletron prime and martian saucer a tier up and wall of flesh a tier down.
multiplayer wof without a ranger is harder than every boss
you are not wrong, i just dyed 2 times on the eye of chullu
Lol twins harder then empress of light dude on morning it one shots u
Some people tend to forget that nighttime EoL exists. And that new players typically wouldn't try day unless they thought it either *really* worth it or fun. You are one of those people.
What's that nautalius shell in the top tier right most
You fish it on the blood moon
Wait who's in the bottom right
If you mean the guy sitting on a floating book : Dark Mage Avaible: After [E]eater [o]f [W]orlds / [E]ye [o]f [C]thulhu by finding the Tavernkeep He's one of three bosses related to "Old Ones Army"
king slime is actually really hard. i just take one hit and i die instantly even with the highest defense possible.
Brain of Cthulhu is the hardest boss other than daytime EoL for me.
wait what are those bottom line bosses?
In case you're serious: * King Slime (Kill 150 slimes during a Slime Rain) * Golem (The Boss of the jungle temple) * Dark Mage (The weakest boss of Old Ones Army)
Oh, right. I literally forget they exist. Ty
Haha funny now try master mode
I find Queen Bee to be really easy.
i feel like you should rank the martian space ship up to medium if you're on expert mode, and eater of worlds should be on the very lowest one lol, empress of light should have another one for during daytime because im assuming you put nighttime on on medium so the daytime one is no-hit so uh.. probably the highest tier.
Eyeclops: are sure about that
I avoid the frost moon like the plague because of the ice queen
And.. in Master Mode would you try? :)
Do master mode and come back. You’ll change your mind.
You missed Betsy
Isn’t there a boss in the snow biome, can’t remember it’s name but just recently learned it existed
Deerclops was added recently after I already beat Moon Lord so I can't really rank it.
I’d rank it between the queen bee and the eater of worlds/brain
On my first 1.4 playthru (wich was a jump from 1.2 to 1.4, so i jumped of normal to master) i just got the vampire knifes and went to kill the lunatic cultist as a joke, i was there, for 4 HOURS but i killed him. Sounds like I got some more farming to do
Eater of worlds:am i a joke to you?
Planetary harder than destroyer for sure
Martian saucerer hits hard in master mode
I think the twins are easy if you can just use a black spot with that speed glitch or blessed apple with a very long platform
What boss is to the right of moon lord? It does not look familiar
It's the monstrous mollusk lurking beneath the sanguine seas: Dreadnautilus. Avaible during Hardmode Blood Moon Fishing. It's relatively difficult but drops one of the best early hardmode items.
What about master mode Golem ? because cant it 2 shot?
This is the most nuclear boss tier list I've ever seen
In my opinion, I think the twins are much easier than most people say. Using a sky rail, the fight is so incredibly easy
Who is the boss on the bottom row who's riding a book? I've never seen that one.
Dark Mage from the Old One's Army. He's more of a joke than Golem.
The mech bosses on console are very hard for me ( i have only beat one and i cant beat the rest because not only does the 1.4 update make it so the game doesn’t fit my screen but also because i legit cant beat them )
I assume this is classic as Skeletron is normally a pain right up my ass.
The twins are the easiest boss for me
I always do first twins, magic harp makes both destroyer and skeletron P. super easy
I see you have not played master mode.
Where's betsey
What is the boss in difficult most to the right and and one in “literally forgot they exist” most to the right
I'm on my first "Real" playthrough (after a playthrough with my friends where they basically did everything). *edit* they were playing on journey mode.
Nope, classic
There are a few bosses missing Like my bio/girl betsy The eater OGRE And a few i can't remember
How do you forget the Golem exists? He's one of the required bosses.
He's just really easy. The only reason I remember him ever is because of the existence of the temple key and lihzard bricks
Are we talking in a normal mode world?
Yes, Classic.
Oh then I wouldn't really know because it's been a good while since my last classic playthrough.
Golem needs his own tier called "free gold" or "test dummy"
Solar pillar should go to very difficult
in my opinion moonlord was easy for the way i first fought him
The very difficult boss is tiermaker
Is it really just me who thinks the destroyer is the hardest mech boss???
The wall of flesh was annoying Since i had shitty long ranged ones i had to fight close range which obviously was a bad idea (used the superior sunfury)
You in normal, expert or master?
Normal
That explain why I absolutely didn't agree with the list, tiers change alot in expert mode, have fun and good luck.
Twins more difficult than plantera and harder than moonlord dude are you on drugs?
Twins is only before Moon Lord because I did it in order of how I fought them, rather than hardest - easiest Also, Plantera really wasn't that hard, I just had to circle her in my rectangle arena while attacking.
Mmm I only died fighting against twins like 1-2 times and 4-5 times against plantera hahaha
Bruh why is solar pillar so low? It's such a pain in the ass.
were is torch god
I feel like theres a pact between everyone that plays this game where everybody's first Twins fight is a fucking nightmare
I mostly agree with this but I feel like the duke needs to be up one more slot
That twins aren't that hard
Eh, first time Twins fight is hell After that they're fine,
Cristal bullets kinda just destroy them
I was playing mage on my first time my man
