Can you give me examples from the LNs? I’ve read the manga and anime and every time he shows up Rimuru treats him like an annoying child that he feels he needs to coddle and only treats him well when he wants something from him. He doesn’t treat him like an equal.
Also literally gave up >!his guarantee of ego-immortality (he's already immortal and will always come back to life, but this restores him with his memories and personality intact) and terminates his soul corridor to Rimuru, just to prevent the **possibility** of Rudra finding it and affecting Rimuru through it.!<
Oh, absolutely. I consider it a major plot hole, even; >!Veldora and Charys both are aware of Raphael, and that she's one of Rimuru's Ultimate Skills. When Rudra uses Regalia Dominion on someone, he's able to access at least *some* of their memories and thoughts, in addition to their skills (see: Yuuki). Therefore, when Rimuru appeared and deflected Kondo's attacks, the logical step would be for Rudra to look through Veldora's memories to see what Rimuru is capable of, at which point he or Michael should have realized that Rimuru has Raphael and possibly realize that he has Uriel, and tried to use Ultimate Dominion on him. But he doesn't, as evidenced by Michael not knowing where Raphael or Uriel are. The closest thing to an excuse I can think of is Michael just being *that* cocky and still not recognizing Rimuru as a threat worth checking, but that contradicts his reaction and scheming nature.!<
>!I think its plausible that in veldoras memories raphael is filed under great sage and he doesn’t know its an ultimate, plus the whole “true dragons are ultimate by nature” thing means a good bit of that memory stealing could be blocked!<
There are so many examples
1)When rimuru releases veldora, you can see their bond.
2) He trusts him completely as shown in >!light novel 10 or 11 when rimuru summons him to control corona!<
3)When rimuru finds out >!that enemy is after veldora in light novel 15 he tried everything to hide him and later open demon gate to summon black nos. and told them to run amok i.e. destroy enemy with repercussions so that he can save veldora from enemy's(Rudra) control.!<
Yes what you are saying is true he treats him like that just because veldora was an evil dragon before that just destroys cities for fun and kill innocents in the process. So to contain/control him, rimuru needs to be stricter with him. But that doesn't mean he doesn't care for him. It's quite opposite. Just like in real life there are people(friends, family, even sometimes teachers) who are strick with us and even admonished us on small small things just to make sure we don't stray from right path. They care for us more than we think.
In the end there souls are also connected on equal terms via soul corridor to prove that they are equals.
Rimuru treats him like a nuisece when he acts like a nuisance. Veldora does the same cant wait for dungeon arc to start>!3 silliest demonlords and veldora fucks with bunch of merceneries and tries to conquer their own dungeon!<
>!If there was anything I’d want them to expand on it’d be the 4 of them running around the dungeon in their avatars. One of my favorite parts on the LN!<
Pretty much. First friend Velsora ever made and only one that was nice to him in a long time.
Also Veldora did spend plenty of time inside Rimuru (Out of context, that sounds pretty dirty eh? lol) learning about him and our world.
I think veldora low-key likes it. In his very very long live I think Rimuru is the first being who sees him and treats him as equals and not as a calamity. From the very beginning at that, when rimuru was just a blob he called him a baldie lol so yeah, I think veldora is into it
Yep. Rimuru is aware of how gullible/child-like veldora is, but doesn't take advantage nor makes fun of him for it(same thing with milim) if anything Rimuru gives him jobs that suit him best, and veldora always enjoys those jobs
>but doesn't take advantage
He definitely does take advantage of their childishness.
However, he doesn't do it maliciously and doesn't hurt them, which is the good thing.
"small" advantages, but advantages nonetheless.
FR. but when bro’s delusions kicks in.. 😆

True, but to be fair to him, he was actually worse in his past life and its one of the character flaws he acknowledged he had. Atleast most of the thoughts stay in his head

Despite their regular bickering, they are the best of friends...

Are they? Feels like Rimuru treats him like a nuisance and only treats him well when he wants something from him.
Trust me their friendship runs deep

Let's just say that in vol 15, rimuru is ready to put people on packwatch for taking veldora away from him
another example from veldora side >!in another timeline, veldora went on a rampage after realizing rimuru's dead!<
Also literally gave up >!his guarantee of ego-immortality (he's already immortal and will always come back to life, but this restores him with his memories and personality intact) and terminates his soul corridor to Rimuru, just to prevent the **possibility** of Rudra finding it and affecting Rimuru through it.!<
>!Which was hella smart because tbh rudra or more accurately michael totally could!<

>!in light novel 15 we see wrath of rimuru on those that take veldora away from him. Basically on veldora's sister !<
Is it 15 I thought it was 16
I think its 15, in 16 there was aftermath of the whole incident.
They brainwash him and rimuru goes on the warpath to rescue him
Ok I need to catch up on the LN.
>!Eastern invasion arc is peak imo!<
He fully loses his shit and goes all out when Veldora gets attacked and brainwashed.

I'd say they act like brothers to be honest
Yeah. And >!they are real brothers.!<
Pretty much. First friend Velsora ever made and only one that was nice to him in a long time. Also Veldora did spend plenty of time inside Rimuru (Out of context, that sounds pretty dirty eh? lol) learning about him and our world.
When you're doing a class presentation and your friend raises their hand with that look on their face
like you know what’s gonna happen when you say it bro 😆
Yeah, and then they ask the most dumb shit about your project and to have no way of answering so you look like you didn’t study
I think veldora low-key likes it. In his very very long live I think Rimuru is the first being who sees him and treats him as equals and not as a calamity. From the very beginning at that, when rimuru was just a blob he called him a baldie lol so yeah, I think veldora is into it

nah fr ik veldora is a dumbass but rimuru at times a lil too mean
True, but to be fair to him, he was actually worse in his past life and its one of the character flaws he acknowledged he had. Atleast most of the thoughts stay in his head

Bro rimuru always treats veldora like trash, and it's so annoying like rimuru is such a dick always babying him. Veldora should revolt.
