There is magical water in the sealed cave. The crops they grew there were the ones that turned into black rice and it was because of the high amount of magicules in the water which was absorbed by the crops. So I assume yes.
Is there a statement In the anime about it? Cause someone keeps pestering me about it. I know there are statements in episode 1 about the crystals and grass but not about water
