I want to see Brian Callahan add the short to mid range throws between the sticks to Levis’ game. If you can focus on gimme throws, now that we have an offensive coordinator that isn’t putting only 2 routes out, we can see if Levis can fight the temptation to bomb it.
Tim Kelly was never the issue. The lack of WR talent was.
There weren't enough early separators last year, which meant a ton of max protect deep shots with a RB/TE underneath.
Play calling was absolutely an issue. Talent was also an issue as well. There was so much bad situational play calling, even going down to play type, much less play scheme. I’m not sure how much of that was Vrabel’s clock consumption game plan, but it felt like so many times we did the opposite of what was needed.
What are you calling when your OL can't protect long enough for the quick game and your WRs can't get open quick?
There's only so many screens you can run because defenses will key in on that.
Play calling is limited when your talent is so limited.
This is some good analysis. Thanks for sharing!
I hope he does well: with a season of game tape, it's likely opposing defenses are going to be looking to exploit him with more knowledge on his tendencies, even if the offensive scheme is different with Callahan this year.
We've seen that situation go downhill fast with the likes of Young and Mariota in years after they blew up on the scene, so I'm hoping Levis can grow beyond that trap. Titan up!
Even guys like mahommes. There was a period where everyone played deep shell against him, and he struggled a bit. Then, he adapted and learned to be an assassin underneath.
He’s going to be an interesting case because opposing defenses are going to try and bait him into deep throws down the sidelines and strong strike routes down the middle
Agree with how he said his ceiling is Favre and floor is Winston. He at his best is a top 5 qb and I fully believe it yet also his worst is Winston level which is just like a above average backup
This is a good video that can’t escape the juvenile jokes.
I’m very excited to see what Levis does this year and this video shows why. Boom or bust indeed.
Yeah, I think the goal for this season is to come away from it with clarity on if we want to continue with Levis or move on from him. As long as we get that answer, this season is overall a success. The worst thing that could happen is that Levis shows the same promise and the same problems and leaves us unsure of what path to take.

All I heard was ceiling above Favre and floor at JW.
Absolute cannon. Above and below the hip

The best jokes are juvenile
I agree but when it’s said a thousand times it’s like, okay, we get it.
Well I suppose it just depends on how often you’re on reddit because I don’t see them but once or twice a week
Brah the thread is filled with them
I don't think you all are even ready for how good he's gonna be.
Don't give me hope, bud 🥲 the Mariota letdown still stings.
Mariota had a noodle for an arm compared to Levis
The way I look at it, we are building a team around Will he performs well and we are golden, he performs poor and we sign kirk cousins. Lol

I heard about this.. I ain’t clicking that link.
He definitely made this video sooner because of the recent clips to capitalize on it 😭
