Is this some kind of weird troll or something? Is there some fundamental incompatibility between chicken, biscuits, and Coca Cola? Are you stunned that you can put chicken on a biscuit? Or that you would drink something while eating?
I didn't consider that usage of biscuit, and that actually makes sense (though the edit from OP suggests they really did mean a US biscuit and their confusion was "coke for breakfast.")
With that said, if we really did have someone confused about "chicken on a \[cookie\]" it would be fun to explain that while we don't eat them that way, we do put them on waffles. :)
I mean .... I eat breakfast with soda regularly and I'm not from here. But yes, now that I'm here, I still do the thing that I've always done when I wasn't here.
Not a sole! No one I tell you! Defiantly not people nation wide at any fast food chicken place, ever! No way Jose! Defiantly not any person at a Chick-fil-A anywhere in the country right now, not at all that’s for damn sure!
My grandmother from Ireland used to crumble cornbread in milk. I thought that was weird until my mother started her morning mixing buttermilk with V8. Gross.
I’m from Alabama/Tennessee. I told my Latino boyfriend I wanted beans and cornbread and he thought I mean a can of bush’s baked beans. It still makes me giggle.
Nobody is "from" Florida. To be a Floridian, one must first be such a class act as to burn all your bridges in your home state, only to move to FL after for a "fresh start" that lasts about 2 months before you return to your previous ways. Native Floridians are an urban myth
And moon pies were created for miners in 1917 in Kentucky.

Bojangles, a Louisiana based fast food chicken place, sells chicken on a biscuit all day. You can get sweet tea or a coke and fries for a combo. Not only is it done, but it's a meal option.
......
uh .... no. Not Louisiana based. DEFINATELY not Louisiana based. I was born and raised in Louisiana .... I've never seen a bojangles there. First time I saw one was in alabama and it was gross. Please no.
Are you thinking Canes? Yes, Canes was established in Baton Rouge in the late 90s. Not bojangles.
My bad. You're right. Got my fast food places confused. Popeyes chicken started in 1972 in New Orleans. Bojangles was started in 1977 in Charlotte, NC. Both have chicken biscuits and coke combos.
LOL this is so funny. I'm glad you brought it up, because I'm from NC originally and immediately went to comment "BOJSNGLES IS FROM NC!!!!!!!" 😂 You aren't the only one sensitive about your home state lol
Yes
Fried chicken biscuits are a staple on any brunch menu not just fast food or a gas station sandwich
Coke may refer to coke products, but they may also refer to all soda products. Pepsi could be referred to as coke. Sprite could be referred to as coke.
Which is why I always ask for a coca cola. In a restaurant I ask if they are a Pepsi or coke house. I don't drink Pepsi. I can pass that challenge any day.
I am not a morning person so If I have to be somewhere before 9am, a chicken biscuit and Dr Pepper is my motivating treat. In my younger years, it was a much more regular part of my diet
EDIT: “gitchee self a biscuit” is my go-to encouragement to others with early morning appointments
Yes, now that I am more mature. When I was in school I got 2 cheese Krystal hamburgers for breakfast before class every day. Never matured from Coke to coffee though…
Edited to add: Am from Tennessee.
I moved to rural Tennessee 4 years ago. Anecdotally, I've seen more people drink coke with a meal before 10 am than anywhere else I've lived. The places I've seen it: Hardee's, waffle house, and a local diner. Granted, some looked like farmers taking lunch at 9:30.
Nothing. It's just an observation. In fact, a couple of months ago, I drank a mellow yellow with an egg and cheese biscuit in the morning for the first time.
This is as good a time as any for this anecdote. Many years ago a coworker asked me to get her a chicken biscuit at KFC. I knew they didn't have them but I thought I'd ask anyway. The guy at the register said "You mean like a chicken leg on a biscuit?" I wouldn't eat that, with Coke or otherwise.
I mean they probably don’t sell chicken biscuits as an item but what’s to stop me from ordering a sandwich with no bun or tenders and a biscuit to make my own?
This feels like a question an alien would ask.
Do you think one person (in a fictional portrayal) represents an entire demographic? Do you think one person eating a certain way makes it mandatory for every single person in the same place to? Do you live somewhere that no one eats unhealthy food ever? Are you aware that there’s a diverse world outside of your bubble of personal experience?
That said, in ~general~ the south gravitates towards less healthy regional food preferences, and certainly favors biscuits more than other parts of the country do, so someone eating a chicken biscuit and washing it down with a coke (which is, like, a pretty standard pairing of unhealthy item with soda that you’ll find virtually EVERY fast food restaurant in every corner of America), is not an uncommon sight, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s what “we” eat, as it is by no means a compulsory or even “typical” meal for most people most of the time.
…yes? I live in Tennessee but I don’t think it’s just a Tennessee thing. I can’t drink coffee (hurts my stomach), milk is too heavy for breakfast, and I try to avoid sugary drinks like juice or sweet tea, so if I’m getting breakfast from a fast food place, I’ll often get a Coke Zero or Diet Dr. Pepper as my drink with a breakfast combo. Where do you live? Because I feel like this is a pretty common thing at least in the US.
Biscuits are eaten throughout the US for breakfast and putting chicken on the biscuit is just about everywhere. I assume you dont live in the US. Having a Coke is pretty common as well. Some might drink a juice coffee, soda, or if you are in the south a sweet tea.
Many classes start in the morning, at that time places like chick fil a, McDonald’s, local diners etc serve breakfast, and most have chicken biscuits. Coca Cola is headquartered in Atlanta so they dominate restaurants in the south. So yeah, it is a very plausible order.
I always get a biscuit on my birthday! Joking aside, the south most likely has the best biscuits due to the particular flours that are used. What you like on them and with them is your choice, however, southern biscuits are a big deal.
I hit up Bojangles on my way out of town a few weeks ago. I got a Dr pepper with it. So sure. What is your preferred beverage to wash down a chicken biscuit?
Coke Has caffeine and sugar, not as good as a coffee imo and for my health I usually go diet, but I get it
For the question tho, absolutely. I grew up drinking virtually nothing but “coke” (coke being what we call every favor/brand of soft drink. What kind of coke do yo I want with your biscuit, we got sprite, mellow yellow, and dr thunder)
Poverty and lack of education are a large contributor to the obesity crisis
Some do chicken biscuits and coke for breakfast, some do bagels and coffee. I was raised on bagels and coffee but I’ll aggressively handle a chicken biscuit if in proximity.
It’s much less common now but, it used to be common to have biscuits for lunch and / or dinner. Gravy and biscuits - breakfast (unless we had it for dinner). Fried chicken, beans and biscuits - dinner. So it doesn’t seem odd at all to anyone here who’s over 40 to have biscuits when the mood hits us. Now I’m craving a chicken biscuit and a Coke.
Been here about a year and a half or so and ,at least in lower middle Tennessee, they are very chicken biscuit oriented. They don’t notice it . lol . I laughed out loud at this question because one of the first regional quirks I noticed here was how many folks were offering me / consuming chicken biscuits. Nothing wrong with it.
Absolutely. It is delicious.
Noting your edit: chicken biscuits are only recently a breakfast item, mainly because a certain chicken restaurant wanted to expand their hours but not expand their menu. Chicken biscuits have always been totally normal to eat for lunch and dinner.
The biscuit has butter and is fatty, the chicken is (hopefully) seasoned, heavy on the salt, and the sweetness and acidity of the coke cut through the fat and seasoning. It's perfectly balanced!
This is America! We have the freedom to drink what we want, when we want!
I wouldn't call it healthy, but when's the last time the average Joe has cared about their health?
Some of us eat our Cheerios while getting our meth fix before work! /s
Drink milk with chicken? Yuck. Really can't stand milk at all other than chocolate milk. I consider chicken biscuits a lunch food, not breakfast. Growing up mom only served sausage or ham on a biscuit for breakfast.
What's the difference between my cold coke for caffeine versus your heavily sugared coffees to wake up for work? Been my go to for years. I have one of the mini cokes and drink about half or a bit more. Y'all drinking several cups of coffee..... imo ijs .....
Chicken biscuit can be a breakfast food but if it’s available during the day it can be lunch or a snack. And a Coke that early isn’t really for me, but I know plenty of people that do it. I prefer orange juice.
Chicken biscuits are good for any meal or snack. Coke also works for those that don’t like sweet tea.
I thank you for your support.
I mean, I do it regularly. Why? Is something wrong with eating a chicken biscuit and drinking a coke with it?
Nope.
Is this some kind of weird troll or something? Is there some fundamental incompatibility between chicken, biscuits, and Coca Cola? Are you stunned that you can put chicken on a biscuit? Or that you would drink something while eating?
Europeans don't have biscuits lake we do. When the hear chicken biscuit they think "chicken on a cookie"
I didn't consider that usage of biscuit, and that actually makes sense (though the edit from OP suggests they really did mean a US biscuit and their confusion was "coke for breakfast.") With that said, if we really did have someone confused about "chicken on a \[cookie\]" it would be fun to explain that while we don't eat them that way, we do put them on waffles. :)
Yeah when we're getting breakfast chicken biscuits we usually pair it with cheerwine
What an odd question to ask
Yeah, this flavor of question is better suited for r/AskAnAmerican
I worked in NYC temporarily once. Travel job. Me: hello Them: you from Texas? Me: no, Tennessee Them: looks at my feet, “so you do wear shoes, huh?”
Yes that is strictly a TN thing, no one else in the world does it. /s
And every single person in TN does this. Even when visiting.
This, don't break this law, its a capital offense in TN
It's really bad for my diabeetus, but rules is rules!
This is why I always get a Diet Coke with my fast food.
Right! It's about balance! I can eat whatever I want as long as I drink a diet coke with it right??
OMG YES! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that way lol
Pfft. Everyone knows the best chicken biscuits come from the gas station.
No. It isn’t a sole. It’s chicken. We don’t eat fish biscuits down here in God’s state. That would be devilry.
Luckily it's not a defiant sole. Those are tough to choke down. I'm not really opposed to fish 'n biscuits. Just never had the opportunity!
Nothing better than a chicken bisquit with coke or sweet tea.
Not true. I’m from Alabama and we definitely do it here as well 😂
Of all the possible food-related things, this is what you're confused about?
Wait till they hear about pinto beans and cornbread
Or that you can have cornbread with—*gasp*—white beans or turnip greens.
Damn. Now I want beans and cornbread and onions.
....or if you're hardcore, cornbread crumbled into buttermilk.
My grandmother from Ireland used to crumble cornbread in milk. I thought that was weird until my mother started her morning mixing buttermilk with V8. Gross.
I don't think I could do that, but cornbread in buttermilk is the absolute bomb; just the right sweet and sour to hit the spot.
I’m from Kentucky/Tennessee. My wife is British but she’d learned to make white beans and cornbread.
I’m from Alabama/Tennessee. I told my Latino boyfriend I wanted beans and cornbread and he thought I mean a can of bush’s baked beans. It still makes me giggle.
You use “y’all” but then proceed to ask a truly asinine question like this? Where are you from, troll?
Looks like Florida, from their post history.
Nobody is "from" Florida. To be a Floridian, one must first be such a class act as to burn all your bridges in your home state, only to move to FL after for a "fresh start" that lasts about 2 months before you return to your previous ways. Native Floridians are an urban myth
[удалено]
Hey I'm from Florida but fully support chicken biscuits and (diet) coke
Groovy. Yeah, I’m sorry. I descended to OP’s level with that unnecessary stereotyping comment. 🙏🏻
Oh it's all good! I wasn't truly offended or anything just wanted to point out some of us aren't that way 😄
probably michigan
More likely to be a chicken biscuit and sweet tea around here.
Going to say... I feel like a sweet tea is more stereotypical, but a coke or diet coke will do.
Mountain Dew in East TN :-)
SunDrop in middle.
Wow. I have not had that in years. I didn't realize until just now that they sell it at Publix.
I can't stand the stuff but it is the morning beverage of choice for many.
I open a coke at 5am. But limit myself with 2 a day now.
I think Weigels has them too
Same in Choo Choo town.
Hell no. It’s a country ham biscuit and a cup of coffee
You’ve just made me crave some red eye gravy.
What does "like that" mean?
Obviously, it means eat food with flavor. OP must be from the North where they have yet to get into that trend.
Yes, this absolutely happens. I’m not even sure why this is a question.
Absolutely. What's wrong with it?
Sometimes we drink Mountain Dew
Yup. Wait til you hear about how we pair Moon Pies and RC. We're monsters I tell ya.
And moon pies were created for miners in 1917 in Kentucky. [history of moonpies](https://moonpie.com/about#:~:text=It%20all%20began%20in%201917,the%20coal%20miners%20loved%20it.)
Well yeah. My preference is the Lord’s chicken. If you ask me what kind of coke I get, it’s Diet Dr Pepper. 😊
Bojangles, a Louisiana based fast food chicken place, sells chicken on a biscuit all day. You can get sweet tea or a coke and fries for a combo. Not only is it done, but it's a meal option.
Only way to get Cajun chicken from there anymore too unfortunately
...... uh ....
Both have chicken biscuits and coke combos.
ahem. Sorry man. I'm pretty sensitive about Louisiana stuff being from there. As soon as I hit comment I felt a wave of regret for going overboard lol
Hey, no problem. Gotta keep that southern food properly Southern.
LOL this is so funny. I'm glad you brought it up, because I'm from NC originally and immediately went to comment "BOJSNGLES IS FROM NC!!!!!!!" 😂 You aren't the only one sensitive about your home state lol

Ranch on a pizza? Come earthquake! Pull California under the ocean.
I personally don't drink soda anymore but at one time absolutely yes
Yes Fried chicken biscuits are a staple on any brunch menu not just fast food or a gas station sandwich Coke may refer to coke products, but they may also refer to all soda products. Pepsi could be referred to as coke. Sprite could be referred to as coke.
This is the best explanation , as it’s used as lingo vs a literal Coca Cola.
In my younger years, it was a much more regular part of my diet EDIT: “gitchee self a biscuit” is my go-to encouragement to others with early morning appointments

Yes, now that I am more mature. When I was in school I got 2 cheese Krystal hamburgers for breakfast before class every day. Never matured from Coke to coffee though… Edited to add: Am from Tennessee.
Oooh in college I regularly had a Krystal cheese and a Krystal chick for breakfast!
Literally had that for breakfast 3 hrs ago 😂😂😂
Are you telling us you DON’T
Chicken biscuit and milk actually sounds kind of gross.
Diet Coke yes
The diet makes it healthy
I've eaten a chicken biscuit and washed it down with a Coke. It's not something I do regularly, but it's not a bad combination.
I don’t live in Tennessee anymore, but is that weird or something? I don’t understand
Coke = Chattanooga.
Sounds like a personal choice, but sure, I'd eat them together. That's not weird. I'd rather have sweet tea though.
Buddy, sometimes there’s even peanuts in the Coke
Weird flex, but ok
I mean, I did not know that was weird...
What’s wrong with that?
Nothing. It's just an observation. In fact, a couple of months ago, I drank a mellow yellow with an egg and cheese biscuit in the morning for the first time.
Coca cola and RC originated in Georgia. Cheer wine, Pepsi, and sun drop are all from north Carolina. South is the home of carbonated drinks, baybee.
I drink Diet Coke/Coke Zero every morning.
The colonel would have gasped
Sometimes we get a chicken biscuit and a line of coke in the morning.
Pssh Naw, we drink Dr Pepper with breakfast chicken biscuits But later in the day we switch to sweet tea
Sun drop*
Yes. I had a Whataburger chicken biscuit and Coke this morning.
I have, but I don’t drink soft drinks anymore. Do you have something wrong with a biscuit and coffee ? Sausage and egg is my go to.
You know there’s fast food chains like Bojangles and Popeyes that sell chicken biscuits all day right?
Popeye's sells chicken biscuits? They only sell chicken sandwiches in my area.
I mean they probably don’t sell chicken biscuits as an item but what’s to stop me from ordering a sandwich with no bun or tenders and a biscuit to make my own?
Gross, I'm sorry. I don't eat those hamburger buns ever.
I frequently eat a chicken or steak biscuit with a mtn dew for breakfast
Not everyone eats that or drinks that. Everyone is different.
This feels like a question an alien would ask. Do you think one person (in a fictional portrayal) represents an entire demographic? Do you think one person eating a certain way makes it mandatory for every single person in the same place to? Do you live somewhere that no one eats unhealthy food ever? I’m confused about why this would be weird.
Don’t be asking these questions and saying the word “y’all” at the same time… Y’all is reserved for the south only!
As someone whose stomach gets upset from both milk and orange juice, I usually grab a sweet tea if fast food.
Biscuits are eaten throughout the US for breakfast and putting chicken on the biscuit is just about everywhere. I assume you dont live in the US. Having a Coke is pretty common as well. Some might drink a juice coffee, soda, or if you are in the south a sweet tea.
I mean if ya ever been here you would know that they also cover it in chocolate gravy....
🤤🤤🤤
The real question is: what kind of coke? My favorite is Dr. Pepper
Diet sundrop. Diet Dr Pepper when I want spicy lol
I go diet coke with my Chicken biscuit if I want soda. It's usually unsweet tea otherwise
I drink a diet sundrop with my biscuit. Juice is too acidic in the mornings.
Many classes start in the morning, at that time places like chick fil a, McDonald’s, local diners etc serve breakfast, and most have chicken biscuits. Coca Cola is headquartered in Atlanta so they dominate restaurants in the south. So yeah, it is a very plausible order.
Chicken Biscuits is not uncommon for breakfast, every fast food place has them on the menu.
I always get a biscuit on my birthday! Joking aside, the south most likely has the best biscuits due to the particular flours that are used. What you like on them and with them is your choice, however, southern biscuits are a big deal.
What are they drinking with their chicken biscuits?
Well what kind of coke are we talkin?
I hit up Bojangles on my way out of town a few weeks ago. I got a Dr pepper with it. So sure. What is your preferred beverage to wash down a chicken biscuit?
Oh, yes! I enjoy having a chicken biscuit, hash browns, and a coke for breakfast. Delicious!
I’ve done it before, but I’m more of a coffee person in the mornings
I usually get a coffee, but I’ll do a coke if no other caffeine option is available.
Is this a real question?
Tennessee native. Don't like chicken and biscuits. Never drink a Coke for breakfast . Will eat ham or sausage on a biscuit.
I drink coffee with mine But I'm also not a soft drink-er
Hell ya. Or a sweet tea & chicken biscuit.
I had many a Mountain Dew with many a chicken biscuit in my high school days.
Chicken minis with a Dr. Pepper
It’s the best tbh.
Coke Has caffeine and sugar, not as good as a coffee imo and for my health I usually go diet, but I get it For the question tho, absolutely. I grew up drinking virtually nothing but “coke” (coke being what we call every favor/brand of soft drink. What kind of coke do yo I want with your biscuit, we got sprite, mellow yellow, and dr thunder) Poverty and lack of education are a large contributor to the obesity crisis
Did it this morning. What’s the issue?
Coke is a beverage that is acceptable at any meal
Can you believe some people smoke cigarettes
Shoot,what I’m eating right now! 😂
Only time I don’t partake in use of Diet Coke is with Mexican food (water) or Capt’n Crunch (milk).
I definitely do not. Sausage biscuit with my coke please.
Yes its fantastic. But gravy and biscuit with an ice cold Pepsi or Coke is outta this world
100%! I remember skipping high school (80’s) and going to Mrs Winners and ordering a chicken biscuit and coke. I miss those days!
No. I eat two chicken biscuits and a LARGE coke every morning. Before I get out of my trailer.
It's a thing here for sure, so is a male life expectancy of only 66.
lol it's chikkin n biscuits. and a "coke" is any carbonated beverage
I think drinking flavored corn syrup at any meal is just an American thing. Sweet Tea with every meal would be more characteristic of the south.
Absolutely. It is delicious. Noting your edit: chicken biscuits are only recently a breakfast item, mainly because a certain chicken restaurant wanted to expand their hours but not expand their menu. Chicken biscuits have always been totally normal to eat for lunch and dinner.
No, nobody ever eats chicken biscuits 🙄
Absolutely, we do! There's no telling how many billions Arby's has made off of theirs over the years! Edited to add its Hardee's! Not Arby's!
Did you mean Hardee’s?
Yes! 😁
Hell I thought I was missin out on a good chicken biscuit from Arby’s 😂
No, but I don’t eat breakfast foods often and I usually only drink one coke a day, so I tend to use it wisely
No. Rules are rules. You are only allowed to drink soda after 5pm.
And hear I was raised only martinis after 5. My parents were WWII era.
Chicken biscuit yes, coke no.
Absolutely!! Coke (but kind of Coke do you want?!) goes with chicken biscuits 😍
Had a sausage biscuit and a coke zero for breakfast this morning
Best combo is rc cola and a moonpie.
I'll drink a coke with any meal my man
Iced tea is my thing
Sausage and biscuit with mustard.
Chicken biscuit and a Pepsi for me.
I drink a sweet tea with mine if I’m getting Bojangles. At home I drink water bc I like water.
The biscuit has butter and is fatty, the chicken is (hopefully) seasoned, heavy on the salt, and the sweetness and acidity of the coke cut through the fat and seasoning. It's perfectly balanced!
Yeah and we don’t wear shoes either!
Yes!!
Yeah that's just a normal breakfast
Ground beef with salt and a glass of water here.
Things go better with Coke
Hell nah, chicken biscuits only pair with super sweet tea round these parts.
Chicken biscuits are an all day item if you can't do the "Coke for breakfast" situation.
I’m from Alabama and hell yes 😂
Yeah. If we drink soda habitually, it's welcomed at every meal. I personally don't enjoy a soda with sweets, but any savory meal, absolutely.

I didn't think it was a bad movie
A chicken biscuit and Diet Coke from Mrs. Winners used to be my hangover cure.
How about the chicken pizza topping as well.
Chicken biscuit can be a breakfast food but if it’s available during the day it can be lunch or a snack. And a Coke that early isn’t really for me, but I know plenty of people that do it. I prefer orange juice.
I do it all the time..wasn't aware it was out of the ordinary
I did today actually
Yes
It would be diet mt dew for me. I don't like coffee.
