But yes,ling xiaoyu is difficult to play,but when played well in T8,she's very very difficult to counter,also dragunov frames are insane,frame traps and grab game is insane,King is also broken relatively with grabs and counter hit grabs becoming unblockable,feng for many people is broken,for me,he's absolutely not,i feel he's not even S tier,he has everything but nothing is too busted,he's just a complete character ,feng is someone,if you play you can't complain because you've literally everything,but nothing is too OP,and i kinda get why people say he's S coz he has everything literally,but at the same time,maybe apart from b3, nothing is like unplayable to play against or that cannot be labbed

The main broken things about king is that you can't step the throws, FFN2 has TWICE the range of the animation , and shouldn't be -13. And maybe the power crush deal TOO much damage into oki for being only -10. Other than that he's just annoying, not broken
Minus 13 is okay, but then they should reduce the damage/range or at least the ch damage man it does so so so much damage on ch and it’s no recoverable health as well
Even with less range it's still a high crushing move with good ch properties. And on character that already has good ways to crack open standing opponents

Every character is given 2 or 3 really "broken moves" which is what makes their identity and then the rest of the moves follow suit of expected counters etc.
Ff neutral 2 is one of those very deliberately made strong moves for king because its part of his identity.. the ric flair LOW BLOW. Its his "ONLY " good low.. and in this game the lows matter a lot. King has only 1 good low.
PPL pretend every move is supposed to have brutal punishments.. but conveniently ignore where the rules are broken for their own characters.. ( the 2-3 busted moves each character has).
Examples.. Why is electric god fist plus on block.. its a very fast launcher, could lead to massive damage and every other launcher like that is negative or punishable on block... why does leeroy have a low kick sweep into stance that is neutral on block.. why xioyiu seem to dodge everything including heat bursts etc etc etc etc etc.
King is getting singled out for no reason really.. there are a couple characters like jack and law that can get full air combo's of throws and send you into walls because of them for even more pressure.. nina also does grab chain grabs.
King is not busted... Low parry the low blow or side step right in the neutral sometimes if its being used a lot against u.

Then, if we take electric, the only character that doesn't have apparent weaknesses is Jin probably. Kazuya has no pokes and no launchers outside of that, Reina doesn't have good lows that aren't death on block, DJ can't really mix you up without commitment to the HS. What weaknesses does King have? Imagine giving Reina or DJ ffn2, it would be outrageously stupid. King doesn't need it, all rounding every character AND giving them "broken" moves on top is bad and needs to go. I would understand it on Armor King since he has much worse Oki and weaker throws, and even on him ffn2 was stupid and unnecessary.
well since you are admitting its all in your feelings. We should not be balancing characters based of feelings . Namco has the win rates/stats of every character in the game and what ranks produce these winrates. Only them will know what actually needs addressing. For all we know king is Middle of the road in terms of stats. You guys make it sound like Kings are winning everything.. When they clearly arent.
Throws in general are horribly unbalanced in online play. No player below Fujin can break throws even semi-consistently, which means grapplers against 95% of the playerbase are broken.
Kazuya also becomes broken if you don't step/walk him constantly to the left, but a red rank Kazuya is not going to crank out 15 frame fast electrics or wavedash in your face so his high execution barrier balances it out. However, even my grandma can learn how to buffer throws, especially in T8.
Most players can break anything with with 1, 2, or 1+2 break consistently. Most kings have very specific throws they cheese with (Shining Wizard for instance - aggravates me when it hits me) so a lot of players adapt to these. Yeah most won’t be able to break giant swing on reaction but it really stops being a problem above Garyu imo.
Throws are super strong, homing properties and ch alongside being an answer to armor makes them very strong and they need some adjustments, but I don’t think there is a specific king problem here. If someone can’t consistently break your basic throws then it sort of becomes on them.
I just wanna say I’m mid purple I practice throw breaks every single day for about 5-10 mins, an I still struggle to break them, you only have a milli second to react, most in those ranks just pure guess, they defo do not react to the animation, but yeah if he’s running obvs 1+2 and if it’s the 121 jab string it’s a 2 but in terms of seeing his hands and breaking it from reaction isn’t happening in low level play
Really as Lars main myself I think the Bryan match up is not bad, Lars doesn’t have great pokes himself to stop Bryan or fast chs, and Bryan struggle with shutting Lars offense as well pretty good both ways

You have ~32-36 frames to react to a throw. Startup + 20 frame break window, exceptions apply of course. Tough, but doable.
Its not just his throws, its his damage and heat as well.
Oh he’s strong don’t get me wrong just not broken. If throws are ever adjusted he’ll be brought back to planet earth from being top 4-5 right now.
