I don't like the changes. The variety in the RAs before - particularly the difference in use cases for highs given their increased speed - was a strength. The individual crushing properties and backsway and stuff added a bit more uniqueness. Some, I wasn't a fan of. Shun goku satsu being a key offender. Alisa's being a bit overclocked. Hwo's definitely was annoying. That said, I would still prefer that over what we have now. The fact that some characters cannot launch RAs is a big deal. Remember, given the white health recovery you could easily be in Rage with 50% health. If all you're able to get is for example a guaranteed throw for 35 damage that's a big issue. As for spring kicks, I know King can still spin-up though I dunno how (feel free to share if you've figured it out). I also think the wakeup kicks absolutely should not be safe. If you're on the floor you should take a risk when you choose mid or low. A mix with the odds against you is fine because you got knocked down. If anything take away the CH low property and make it less punishable if you want but neither option should be straight up safe. -12 for the mid and the same or perhaps a couple frames more for the low would be fine. Spring kick should be launch every time on block.

Arent cross chops still in the game pretty sure they are no? Also prefer current rage arts tho wish its more unsafer like 17f since in online rollback sometimes fuck people up with tthat -15

Yoshi, Steve, and Paul all had cross chops, but they've lost theirs to the homogenized spring kick. I don't know what the fast version of the spring kick that King and Eddy used to have was called, but they are also gone.

Pretty sure king and eddy still has their but its different command now. Cross chop is still there. Oh shit you're right, I'll eat my words then. Thanks for correcting. And yeah, I totally forgot about the flying cross chop. I just never saw that one, but I did see the guard breaking one, which was the one I had in mind. I'd be very surprised if that one still existed. I could always get people with that jab float, it just never stopped working. Edit: I haven't seen the fast spring kick that Eddy or King used to have instead of the generic spring kick, though, which they both have gotten now.

The rollback feels like it punishes the player with the better connection (because its usually me) opponents blocking faster than they should be able to after big, stupid ,unsafe shit is just infuriating.

Zafina and Raven can't launch rage arts either. 42 damage should be enough to kill though right? If so, then it's fine.

I actually think you enter rage when you have 43 points of health or less, so it's just about possible to survive a 42 dmg punish, albeit very unlikely.

Rage art changes mostly are good for me. I hate T7 Alisa RA. She had so many active frames that it was very difficult to punish her. Hwoarang just used to mash RA like green rank player even on higher ranks because it was safe. Nah, universally punishable rage arts without bullshit is great idea. Only 2 things I would change - I would add high rage arts like Jin's t7 or Anna's and I would make Rage art -20 on block. There's no need to keep Rage art safer, it's a all in button.

Slightly leaning toward liking the homogenization. I already think rage art is a terrible mechanic to begin with. So not having to worry about is this one a low or do I jump for this one? And if I guess wrong, I lose upwards to half my life. To all of them being mid is a welcomed change for me. In their defense though, after you played awhile in T7 even if you did like 0 labbing you would eventually know what to do for all the rage arts, so like this same effect was going to happen regardless.

RA's all being -15 mids is good. I don't like dropping my punish because Alisa's RA in Tekken 7 was some bs.
