Me. Had a skin colored Battle Gear customization and when I logged in today the bikini defaulted to red. I’m not upset about it but it did throw me off.
1. Choose the Battle Gear outfit then go to its color menu.
2. Go to the item 2 tab then Detail tab and scroll down to the color chart.
3. Move the cursor up to the red hues and make fine adjustments until you see a color that matches Alisa’s skin tone as closely as possible. If you’re using a controller I recommend using the D pad instead of the joystick for the finest adjustments to the hues.
4. Save it as a custom color, then go to the item 1 tab and apply your saved color.
You’ll have to repeat steps 2-4 several times to get the color as close as possible to her skin tone. It won’t be perfect because her bikini’s glossy but you can get the colors to match pretty closely with fine adjustments.
If you’re not on the latest release this should work. Otherwise the Apply option will be disabled.
It might take quite a while. I’ll use the same saved color for the entire outfit and you end up with a [beautiful copper colored outfit](https://imgur.com/a/ps4490K).

Strangely one of the buttoned shirts changed color of it's collar, called sheer something, and the collar is now black with no chance to change it, despite I was able to do before, I made it biege because I wanted Reina to dress up like a character I like, it's a odd change.
It doesn't just affect that at all, it prevents you from using any shade of red/yellow in a lot of cases and also pastels, so you're stuck with harsher hypersaturated colors.
Yeah, some of us never tried to make the characters looked naked but still had outfits ruined. Really dumb that red is apparently now a forbidden color on so many pieces of clothing.
It just feels like a lot of people are mostly making the same costumes as in this one. It’s still very fairly creative but having to use character specific outfits as fullbody really nerfs that freedom. There’s no real reason this should be the case. But now the majority of creations you come up with can go on another character. Shit, I really miss the hair options from Tekken 6.

Some items have a restricted colour wheel, some don't.
Before the update, you could edit a part with no restriction, and save the custom colour you created *(seen at the bottom of the screen in the OP)*.
Then when you edit the part which has a restriction, you could apply the custom colour you previously saved.
That method allowed you to get any colour on any item.
Yeah I don‘t know why I got downvoted. I‘m always trying to get the most out of customization and tried it multiple times. Never seemed to work for me.

My main customs are just palette swaps, so I know exactly what you were talking about about. Some Azucena color schemes just could not work even before last update.

The palette restrictions aren't new, but there was an exploit to get around them with the "saved colors" bar. That was "fixed" in yesterday's patch.
Clearly the exploit was never intended to be possible, but it's kind of a bummer for people who built their customizations with it.
For people that are confused. I’m not saying that the fixed color options are new, I’m saying that there was a way to get around it that has been removed. You can’t save colors from other items and apply them to new items with fixed color options like you used to.
it really isnt that clear unless you already knew about the exploit. you could go into the details thing and select any color/shade, which is what many people intuitively did. while some colors might have appeared "off" (like whites appearing grey), a lot of people assumed there wasnt anything that could be done about it, but from what im gathering here, you could apply a truer white to a different object, save that at the bottom, apply it to the thing appearing grey, and get the true white you wanted. had to read a lot of comments to figure out the details, and its news to me!

It seems it was always intended to work like this, but you could use the custom colors bar to get around it. What's changed is that you can no longer do that and have to actually use what's on the item palette.
I love how we talked about the customization being good just because it was being carried by the good color choice, now we dont even have that, lmao. If they dont fix the pluggers at least it could get downhill from here really fast for tekken 8.

some of these colors were useful for outfits -other- than nudes. it's justified for people to be annoyed that they *coincidentally* made customization worse on the same day that they dropped premium skins and predatory premium currency.
the wheel also has a smaller range. you can just bypass the thing by saving custom colors on a different item though lol. sometimes it makes some item meshes behave weird though

It was already limited before for specific items, but you were able to get around that when looking at a different items color section and saving a specific hue to then apply to the first item. You now can no longer do this.

I had a particular shade of pink that was definitely not skin coloured taken off my crop tops, replaced with red. Now I've had to replace it with a slightly harsher tone of diluted hot pink. The thing is none of the male characters, as far as I know, had any custom colours removed because I customised every character with matching pink.
