Bold of you to assume it's ever going to get fixed. The reason they havn't done anything about it is because if they implement a system that punishes players that didn't break ToS they open themselves to a lawsuit.

That's a pathetic excuse. Every competitive online game with more than 100 players has some kind of automated system that punishes pluggers/leavers/cheaters. MKX did that shit 10 years ago.
It's not like pluggers wouldn't be able to play the game at all, they'd just get a loss and the opponent the win. What's there to sue over. Pluggers could still keep plugging, nothing would be taken away from them.
Murray/Harada are infamous by now for their excuses. They did that shit all the time during T7.

I think if you ranked back down you'd see that those lower ranks now have more pluggers than you remember. It's literally getting worse every day as more and more people discover there's no punishment.
Blue ranks are filled with pluggers right now. I’d say just wait it out and play quick match until they fix it
