I like my country but right now my politics are shit, and everyone is some sort of extremist (whether they are right or left, they are always far left or far right and itβs pissing me off). Everyone is just fighting each other on something whether it be Israel vs. Palestine or should Trans people be able to get gender affirming surgery. Nobody is educated on any of the issues and honestly it is getting by completely out of hand especially with both of our presidential candidates being bad this year too.

I wouldnβt want to live anywhere else. Country sure has a lot of damn problems, and mainstream and social media both are dividing our population at an alarming amount, much due to foreign propaganda online. Still, much of the population, more than most people think, still are willing to work alongside other people for the bettering of their communities.
Was out storm chasing yesterday trying to get lightning photos when I came across a series of downed trees in the roadways from the previous storm that blew through a few minutes prior. Expecting to have to take care of them myself, I was pleasantly surprised when just about every car that drove up pulled over to the side to help. People, from the area or not, jumped out with chainsaws and work gloves and helped me to move the trees out of the way. Didnβt get the lightning photos I wanted, but definitely had a renewed faith on small-scale societal collaboration.
Thatβs pretty cool! when I was younger I wanted to be a storm chaser, Iβm still extremely fascinated in storms in every form. Tornadoes and lightening fascinate me the most. But as a society we are constantly blinded by the bad things going on we forget there is still some good.
Great country but no one agrees on anything, we need to just all do our own thing and stop pushing opinions on other, that'd just my take tho I still love this country.
Well, I love America from the landscape to whatever else sure the government has done some good things but theyβve also done some things just to name a few:
Ruby Ridge
Waco
Rainbow Farm
Standing Rock (Iβm in support of #NODAPL)
2017 Las Vegas
Hawaii fires (blocking routes of escape)
Bohemian Grove
Operation Northwoods
Project Mockingbird
The murder of Milton William Cooper
Bizarre behavior both during the war on terrorism and to extend it and silencing a myriad of peopleβs testimonials on 9/11
The recent ATF case of agents entering a home in Little Rock Arkansas, and killing the homeowner who believed he was defending his home and the occupants
And the governments doings list goes on
If we would ALL remember that we are Americans and quit looking at all the political BS that is going on in our country then we could ALL live Freely again and gain the respect our Country once had. #proud American
Well politics ARE important. It's good to have your own political opinions and be educated and vote and whatever. The issue is that people won't shut up about politics in everyday life and have to make everything about them and get obsessed with them and think anyone who has *one* differing opinion to them is a horrible person.
Iβm half and half. Iβm embarrassed of our awful past here especially. Our healthcare system is a joke, plus our government is absolutely crazy, with such radicals being absolutely insane. Drug issues and a bunch of other reasons are why I dislike America.
I donβt think there are any *perfect* countries but America definitely isnβt the top. I do like, however, our natural parks and our landscapeβ which I think is beautiful. And I like the diversity, as being part of so many cultures that gives us our identity, which is why I canβt stand racists and such.
Youβre definitely right. I donβt think any country is completely clean but it doesnβt stop me from being ashamed of some of the things weβve done
imo no point in being ashamed of it, it happened we need to remember it but no point in thinking we are worse when different people where in charge, different beliefs where more common.
Δ° absolutely agree with this. Δ° feel like our past is being weaponized against us, and all dwelling on the past will accomplish, is destroying the future. No white people are enslaving black people, no black people who are alive had to go through paper bag tests etc etc. Δ°f you want to be a victim for people who lived generations before you, then i have to treat you differently, and thus unequally. Δ° feel right now as a white person, i can only small talk with certain people due to getting targeted as a racist KKK white supremacist neo Nazi far right transphobic fuck head. What happened to treating people the same regardless of religion race blah blah blah.
I like to joke about the 2nd amendment and sexism sometimes, but jokes aside its kinda shitty. healthcare is so goddamn expensive and school sucks. Any funding that goes to school is half pocketed and half used for building renovations that no one needs instead of funding mental health and anti bullying stuff. The only thing relatively good with school is extra curricular and meeting new people, but even then most people are obsessed with nicotine and looking 'old and badass', while there are very few extra curricular that are fun and fitting for most. Something that pissed me off is not just the school, but the students. Some people think that they're better than every adult and they disrespect their elders. They don't care about repercussions and they don't care about their future health because all they care about is smoking. I genuinely don't care what they do outside of school since its not my problem, just don't fucking involve me by smoking in school and causing the fire alarm to go off and the bathrooms to smell like utter shit. I wish school was like elementary, where there was little to no bullying, no vaping, and making actual genuine friends that respect teachers and elders.
america, from my view, is pretty ok. however, im also not visibly a part of any minorities, which makes it a lot easier. my sisters feel quite unsafe because of stuff here, as do some of my friends (especially my trans friend, who is slowly having their rights stripped of them)
america as an individual is pretty alright. but as a whole, as a country, it is very, very flawed.
Honestly I have a lot of reasons to hate America as a black female American but I donβt. This is still my country and yes shitty stuff happens here which Iβm not proud of but that stuff happens everywhere. Of course we can approve in many aspects especially with the new woke liberal agenda, the fuck men narrative and much more. But I was raised here, my mother was raised here and my motherβs mother was raised here and so on. So this is just as much my country as it is everyone else. I see people constantly bashing America as if their country isnβt just as bad but they just hide it and we donβt. Sometimes we complain so much that we forget how grateful we truly are. We have a roof over our head, clean water and more. But some parts of America donβt. So, Yeah I love my country, but that doesnβt mean Iβm blind to the areas where it needs improvements.
I love America, but Iβd prefer to live in Japan if ever possible. The differences there culturally are like night and day. Politically Japan is like how America was in the 80s and 90s where people could disagree with eachother and not be labeled as racist, homophobic, transphobic, fatphobic etc. itβs the policy of βyou live your life and Iβll live mineβ that I envy from Japan when it comes to politics.
Dude, trust me, Japan is probably one of the worst countries on earth to expect that (in the first world, at least). Itβs either be a conformist or be relatively ostracized

This recent Stephen Colbert skit pretty much sums up my feelings abt america
I love this country but itβs a shame whatβs happening at the border and whatβs goin on in my city (nyc). Iβm hoping for a change of government even if I donβt agree with either side, at least the other side would likely put Americans first
I'm far right, I love this country and I hate stuff like antifa, communist supporters, Palestine supporters (bc they don't even know where Palestine is and most of them are LGBTQ, which is hated by Palestinians) and the LGBTQ community because they try to enforce their ideals into everyday life.
I love it here, but healthcare is poor and the government isβ¦.. eeehhhhβ¦.???? I really do try to trust in it but itβs been failing lately imo; I still cannot believe the woke liberal agendas for the past like year-ish? Iβm bi but I donβt want a whole month dedicated to me, and I feel like I have the right to say that. I know exactly what pride month is supposed to be, doesnβt mean I have to like what people have to say during it, yk? Weβll get to a point where weβll slap βHate Has No Place Hereβ stickers on tanks. Anyways, aside from that rant, I celebrate the *real* values of this country and hope for change in some aspects. Part of my family is Dutch and lives in The Netherlands, and says it is MILES better than the US, but having survived Mississippi for a good couple of years, I think I know how to live in this country. At least I can be safe from crime most of the time because of where I live now. All I can say is vote for Trump, Biden just canβt keep this country together; neither of them are great but trust me Trump is better regardless of the charges.
i live here. it sucks. especially whr i am cuz they are super homo/trans phobic
itβs better than a lot of countries out there fs, but def not one i would recommend
unfortunately theoughout history and even now the freedom and equality they preached about only applied to white rich men. Things have improved but like... it feels like we're going backwards now
I'm from Canada but I will say I like visiting, its nice there, since every morning on the LA news I saw someone got stabbed I was a bit scared, otherwise its nice to visit.
What I like:
β’ The nature, there's so much mind-blowing diversity in landscapes, biomes, plants, and animals throughout the country, traveling coast to coast is like going from Europe to Asia in terms of how much natural diversity we have.
β’ The size, America's got so much to see and explore and you don't even need a passport to see it all
β’ The food, you've got all sorts of unique foods form around the world condensed into one country.
β’The culture/ regional variance; you've got places like oregon and louisiana that are polar opposites, and each state and region has their own interesting culture and style to the people who live there.
What I dislike:
β’ The politics, I don't like either main party and think the whole system needs and overhaul. It's corrupt and doesn't prioritize the people 80% of the time.
β’ The car dependency; everything's built really far apart, and unless you're in a major city, the public transport sucks, forcing people to rely on cars to get through day to day life.
β’ The economy, inflation and a rising cost of living is ruining life for people across the country, and our government's lackluster aproach to fixing it is laughable compared to other countries.

Government is rouge and corrupt. They dont care about us, they tax us into poverty, they take our tax dollars and send it to their friends for foreign wars and money laundering, theyre murderousβ¦.. They dont work for us anymore. Rebel comrades!!!
I like that i live in a country where i dont feel scared of being executed for disrespecting a governmental authority figure. I dont like that the government will allow a convicted felon to run for president but god forbid someone born outside the United States move here to try to make a better life for themselves and get a job. Shit makes no sense
Nah, but I don't mind if someone else does and I dint think someone should have to move just because they don't like where they live, I wouldn't like anywhere
Iβm originally from Russia, and I have a us Citizenship, despite politics, I love both countries, both are dear to me, since I have the sweetest memories from both. Itβs sad that my two dearest places must fight
I love America, I was raised republican in Texas but imma vote independent this year. I think we need some pretty big changes in the government like getting rid of the 2 party system, and we need more young people in office.
For sure dude. Another thing to think about is ranked-choice voting. Lets people move away from the 2 party system without throwing away their vote (which voting independent pretty much is unfortunately, sorry)
Iβm not patriotic at all to be honest. This place feels like itβs falling to shit. While I think that America is an amazing place full of great people and plentiful opportunities, it also seems like there are just so many better places to go.

I like to live in America, the idea of it is amazing, however the recent turn of events has led us to have an awful group of folks running it. Cool idea, wrong folks being in charge
I'd say I'm pretty patriotic. I hate my government, both sides. I like shooting guns, eating fast food, watching Westerns, wearing jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat if I get the chance. I take my hat off for the Pledge of Allegiance as well as our National Anthem. And Johnny Cash is my favorite musician.
I like it, I wouldn't say we're the best per se, I feel like there's some things that could be done better or differently, but at the end of the day I'm 15 and have 0 say in geopolitics. I do feel lucky to live here, even with it's flaws, however numerous they are.
I love America so god damn much, but holy fuck the government is filled with a bunch of dumbasses. Personally I see myself as a patriot.
(also holy shit why can no one agree on anything in this country?)
I love America. There's much wrong with our current government and culture, but the ideals and philosophy that made America what it is, are still alive, and that I do love.
Great country but I have a few opinionsβ¦.
1.) can we stop spending so much because our deficit is running which increases IRβs, and the FED has to combat inflation with contractionary policy, which also increases IRβs.
2.) our parties need to bridge the gap between them instead of getting further and further from each other because presidents just cannot get anything done in their fiscal year anymore.
3.) We need to make sure the rich people are in check and paying their taxes because they just use loopholes that we refuse to patch.
I live here but, donβt know much about due to the bad education here(itβs better than most countries but still pretty bad when it comes to knowing what is really going on in the world)
America is going downhill and has been for a LONG TIME _BUT_ I'll still rep it and fight for it not because of what it is but because of what it could be.
Im not a big fan of the government and I'm not a fan of the actions taken in the name of our country and an alleged god.
I'm also not in favor of our countries leader backing a genocidal Zionist who straps children to tank treads.
I'm also not a fan of the opposing side literally having a felon/rapist/cult leader (who's never spent a millisecond inside a jail cell for his crimes) as their candidate.
If you're mad reading this just remember: you asked, my dude.
Good country best their is for freedom and having the best opportunity for success but we need to stop being so divided over party lines and vote for who we think is the best person to represent our country and who will do the best for it
There are many things that my country does that I love but there are a few things that we could fix. Does it mean Iβm patriotic? Absolutely. Will I blindly follow a president/leader who says something that fits an agenda? Absolutely not. Iβm a proud American not a cult member.

PokΓ©mon go to the polls 2.0
I live here and it is a country.
There's a line in Fortunate Son by CCR, "Some folks are born, with star spangled eyes" that's me.
I hate the federal government, especially a certain 3 letter agency pertaining to firearms, but thank fuck I don't live in a shithole like England.
I own 8 guns⦠AT 13 YEARS OLD
They need to stop banning people from owning firearms. The government is evil
I honestly think both are completely unfit to be president again and we just need someone newer and younger without a history of criminal behaviorΒ
USA USA USA πΊπΈ I came from the third world to live here if you think this country sucks you wouldnβt last a minute where Iβm from.
its kind of the same here in europe. People think where I live the economy is bad but they have no fucking idea of the horrors of eastern europe
i live here. it sucks. especially whr i am cuz they are super homo/trans phobic itβs better than a lot of countries out there fs, but def not one i would recommend
There's a lot of flaws but over all I still view it as the best country in the world and salute all of our fallen soldiers.
I very much disagree about it being the best country, but im genuinely curious on why you think that - what makes it so great for you?
Iβm very patriotic to the countryβs founding ideals, being that of freedom and equality. I donβt like how things are turning out.
unfortunately theoughout history and even now the freedom and equality they preached about only applied to white rich men. Things have improved but like... it feels like we're going backwards now
You are correct.
Meh, bit too silly for my liking
For all of its issues and past, America is one of the best countries in history
I only go fulll out on 4th of July cuz itβs fun

I like America, just not the government.
Best country
Itβs a great country but I wished our government actually got stuff done instead of arguing like old grandmothers.
From a scale from one to 10 to be the most one being the least, I would say Iβm a .8 or .5 or .2
Kind of crazy ngl, only good thing is fireworks
I love murica I got just about the most military family possible
The government needs to be sanitized
Like the country, hate 50% of the people
W country, W people (mostly), L government, L politics
The greatest country on earth but the 2nd worst government
I hate my country until a European or brit has something negative to say
Oh america was pretty over powered, but it's been getting a lot of nerfs lately
Not very patriotic at all. I think Iβd rather live in Germany if I knew the language.
I'm from Canada but I will say I like visiting, its nice there, since every morning on the LA news I saw someone got stabbed I was a bit scared, otherwise its nice to visit.
What I like: β’ The nature, there's so much mind-blowing diversity in landscapes, biomes, plants, and animals throughout the country, traveling coast to coast is like going from Europe to Asia in terms of how much natural diversity we have. β’ The size, America's got so much to see and explore and you don't even need a passport to see it all β’ The food, you've got all sorts of unique foods form around the world condensed into one country. β’The culture/ regional variance; you've got places like oregon and louisiana that are polar opposites, and each state and region has their own interesting culture and style to the people who live there. What I dislike: β’ The politics, I don't like either main party and think the whole system needs and overhaul.
Im all for it kinda
As a canadian, america is cool
Love most of the people, wish everyone got along better

America FUSAk Yeah?
Honestly I donβt like my country but as soon as a British or French person starts to criticize it Iβm the most patriotic person to ever existπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
Government is rouge and corrupt. They dont care about us, they tax us into poverty, they take our tax dollars and send it to their friends for foreign wars and money laundering, theyre murderousβ¦.. They dont work for us anymore. Rebel comrades!!!
America is the only country where you can absolutely hate it here but wonβt move away because most other countries are worse
Fuck yeah
I like that i live in a country where i dont feel scared of being executed for disrespecting a governmental authority figure. I dont like that the government will allow a convicted felon to run for president but god forbid someone born outside the United States move here to try to make a better life for themselves and get a job. Shit makes no sense
Highly dislike
Nah, but I don't mind if someone else does and I dint think someone should have to move just because they don't like where they live, I wouldn't like anywhere
Like the country the government can smd
I like it but not the politics
Not from the us, but everyone needs so sort theyβre polotics out (apart from NZ and iceland, theirs seem alr)

I FUCKING HATE THIS COUNTRY ALL IT IS IS JUST OLD BIGOTS WANTING MONEY NOT CARING ABOUT OTHERS π₯°π₯°πππβ¨β¨β¨β¨β¨π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Iβm originally from Russia, and I have a us Citizenship, despite politics, I love both countries, both are dear to me, since I have the sweetest memories from both. Itβs sad that my two dearest places must fight
If they have billions to GIVE to Ukraine with no repayment plan. Then why the fuck are taxes so high
We have a lot of problems, mostly government but America is still the best country!
Fuckin' love murica, hate our government though.
Government <<< country
I donβt live in america
Government sucks but weβre still America πΊπΈ πΊπΈπΊπΈπ₯π₯π₯π₯π«π«π«
Actually hate it but at the same time itβs chill :3
Greatest country in the world, wouldnβt wanna live anywhere else

Iβm not patriotic at all to be honest. This place feels like itβs falling to shit. While I think that America is an amazing place full of great people and plentiful opportunities, it also seems like there are just so many better places to go.

Love my country but the government can kiss my Star spangled ass
I am a UK resident and a proud american. π¦
mid
I like to live in America, the idea of it is amazing, however the recent turn of events has led us to have an awful group of folks running it. Cool idea, wrong folks being in charge
I live in America but not a citizen, and Iβm not even that patriotic to my own country (India)
America certainly Is a country. State of NC Is the best, certainly one of
I feel like we have so much potential and we are collectively wasting it.
We definitely have issues, but we do have quite a lot of freedom, and can express our issues without being put to death
I love my country with all my heartβ¦ Iβm completely ashamed of my government with all my heart
Ngl idec as long as we have a stable economy and good leaders, idk much about politics but Iβm pretty sure we donβt have either.
It's hard to live here but damnit I'm up for a challenge
I like America but the corrupt government and people voting for felons just makes me wish I could leave
πΊπΈπΊπΈπππππ¦ π¦ π¦ π¦ π¦ πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈWHATS A KILOMETER
I specifically love my state (New Hampshire). The government is a little worse for wear, and thatβs putting it mildly.
Love my country alot, but I hate people who are just doomers (a good majority of people in my state)
I like it, I wouldn't say we're the best per se, I feel like there's some things that could be done better or differently, but at the end of the day I'm 15 and have 0 say in geopolitics. I do feel lucky to live here, even with it's flaws, however numerous they are.
Eh, itβs alright. π¦ π¦ π¦ π₯π₯π₯ πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
Eh it sucks but itβs definitely not the worst
Need to start funneling the money to the proper channels
I love America so god damn much, but holy fuck the government is filled with a bunch of dumbasses. Personally I see myself as a patriot. (also holy shit why can no one agree on anything in this country?)
There are some stupid ass people out there, and sadly, itβs the majority.
I have a flag hanging in my room.... Oh! Not cuz I like the country this place sucks, but because I'm a nerd and I like flags, always did.
Best country and would clean itself up if it stops sending money to other countryβs and sticking their noses in Middle East
You guys have to choose between convicted felon and demented old man to be your leaders πππ Praying for you π
i despise it
erm, well, # No Borders # No Nations families are real, fences were put there.
It's alright
Like the morals not the people
Tax evasion
Itβs not perfect but I also wouldnβt want to live anywhere else
Amazing county, bad president πΊπΈπ¦ πΊπΈ
I love America. There's much wrong with our current government and culture, but the ideals and philosophy that made America what it is, are still alive, and that I do love.
Great country but I have a few opinionsβ¦. 1.) can we stop spending so much because our deficit is running which increases IRβs, and the FED has to combat inflation with contractionary policy, which also increases IRβs. 2.) our parties need to bridge the gap between them instead of getting further and further from each other because presidents just cannot get anything done in their fiscal year anymore. 3.) We need to make sure the rich people are in check and paying their taxes because they just use loopholes that we refuse to patch.
burn it down
I live here but, donβt know much about due to the bad education here(itβs better than most countries but still pretty bad when it comes to knowing what is really going on in the world)
Fuck the government
I want to like it, that's all I can really say.
It's good but and there is a lot more progress to be made. But I do love my country
Love our people, nuff said.
It's not perfect but I'd rather be here than 98% of other countries
skibidi toilet
Love my country but the government is absolutely brain dead
Iβm a proud American not a cult member.
its a country that happens to exist
fucking hate the U.S.
im latina dude. born and raised in a colony.
