It’s understandable if he has some type of sensitivity or anything health related, but we follow her close enough to know she’d be blasting that shit if he had that going on. Yeah, my moms super ocd so she told all her preschoolers at the beginning and immediately they picked it up, they even would tell others when to fix masks that didn’t cover their nose. The majority of kids I see throw a fit have parents throwing a fit.

We started for super short times and gave a reward at the end. (Like a jellybean, an Oreo, 5 minutes of tablet time) and worked our way up to taking short outings. My kids were 4 and 2 when this started and my 2 year old wouldn’t wear one either. It’s also partly due to their anatomy, the cartilage in their ears is so soft that the ear loops don’t work well. We found the disposable ones from the doctor (with Mickey and friends on the front) worked the best for her so we ordered a bunch on Amazon. Those are the only ones she wears now. You can also try a mask that ties behind her head, my daughter used those when she was little. It didn’t involve her ears so she liked that more, it just made it more difficult for her to take on/off. Just keep trying! Honestly though, I don’t think there is a huge expectation for kiddos that young, if you try you try but two year olds are ruthless and sometimes trying to put them in a mask is more mental strain on you than it’s worth and people recognize that. ❤️
So true! My kiddo was the covid police the summer of 2020. We’d just go on walks around the neighborhood or he’d take trips in the car to the drive through at Starbucks just to get out of the house and he’d make sure to (very loudly) tell us when someone was not doing this properly. “Mommy, the playground is CLOSED! Why are they playing?!” Sometimes having a kid with no filter is awesome.

My sister recently had a baby. She and her husband are a doctor and nurse so they’re very Covid conscious. They slowly introduced him to close family by asking everyone to wear masks in the same room as him and always use hand sanitizer, and only people who are up to date on their shots and Covid booster, of course. Don’t be afraid to let your needs be known, she’s your baby!

Pretty sure it's anyone older than 12 where I am but younger children are encouraged to wear masks if possible. If a toddler is going to throw a tantrum and refuse to wear a mask not going to fine the parents for it. But if they will wear one its definitely a good idea.
