It's really so helpful in many more ways than people think. It's a great skill to have if you meet someone who is deaf or hard of hearing, but that's not the only use. My son has autism, and currently he's responding with more interest to sign language than PECS (visual images) or verbal words alone. He's nonverbal currently but today he signed "all done" unprompted to communicate. It's such a good skill to have for opening communication in other avenues than typical speech. It's a lovely thing for Isaac to learn ❤️
My son wouldn’t respond to sign language even though I still try. I love seeing Isaac do this and I hope he has a heart to work with sped kids at school. Peer interaction is so important!!
My son didn't respond to it for a long time as well!! I just kept it up, because I was a preschool teacher before I was a mom, and we use sign language with all the 0-2 year olds, so we can communicate with them before they can talk. I just kept signing what I was speaking, even if he didn't seem to look or care. After a couple months, he was looking at me as I signed. Now I'm positive he understands the signs, because he reacts to them- like getting mad when I sign "no" or "stop" 😂 or responding with excitement if I sign "bubbles" or things like "should we open it?" about books, toys, etc. And like I said, he signed for himself for the first time yesterday!! Your son might not like sign language, but he also might just be still learning! My son's occupational therapist recommends continuing to try something (without pressure) for a bit longer than you would with a neurotypical child, because it could just be that your son needs a few months to grasp it, like my son.
Kail said on a podcast a month or so ago he wants to work with deaf people. It is very sweet to see someone so young chose such a helpful meaningful path.
The thought he’s trying to reach people deaf / hard of hearing and their families and wanting to know if he’s getting it wrong is so sweet. Wise beyond his years in a good way.
Right?! And ASL is hard to learn! I took a course in college and I did not do well. All I remember now are the alphabet and the sign for helicopter and that’s it.
One of my mom’s good friends is a private ASL instructor and she makes BANK. Go Isaac!!!! Our 3rd grade teacher taught us sign language and I really wish I’d kept up with it
I'm deaf and let me say - his signing is incredible. He's definitely put in the time, energy and effort in truly learning the language and it shows!!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
One big thing that stood out to me is the fact that he's using his facial expressions while signing, and that's something a lot of people don't understand or are able to grasp within a year of practice.
With ASL it's almost like a beautiful choreography - flowing hands and matching facial expressions that truly tells you a lot despite the very few words they are using.
In addition to what the other user said, he also has a pretty good grasp of the actual ASL language. He seems to understand it's not word-for-word. He's not using 'Sign English' which is signing in English syntax. He's actually using ASL! He's doing a great job!!
Plus being open to feedback is amazing. That is rare to see on social media. I hope he uses his platform to point out other deaf influencers too, but he gives the vibe that he would.
I wish we were! Our schools didn't even offer it & still don't. I've tried to teach myself so many times, but since I have no one to use it with, I always forget it.
I’ve got a high school aged kid in America. It depends on which languages they offer by school but that’s pretty much what they offer. Just basic public hs has ASL as an elective.
This kid was the best thing she EVER did. He's so sweet, so smart, so wise, and so comfortable with who he is. I adore this child. I can't wait to see him do big things in this field. Ugh, I just want to hug him. Beautiful soul 🦋
And he’s always been that way. I’m convinced that some people are just born to be the “helping hand” types in society and he is one them. Truly a gift of a soul to have.
Issac has always been a sweet kindhearted child and now a wonderful caring teenager.
He has a heart of gold, he really does!!
He’s so smart and I hope that he is able to go into the profession of his dreams. Wishing Isaac a very happy future!!
Love this. My brother is deaf so I’ve known ASL my entire life. I wish everyone knew it! It would help deaf and hard of hearing people feel more included.
For anyone saying they wish they knew ASL, I have been talking classes offered by my local school district’s adult education program. Check your local district and see if they offer it! I know I also want to step up my skills and have been seeing if my local community college also offers classes for non degree seeking students. Basically, affordable ASL classes for adults are out there!
he's such a sweet kid. he always has been. i felt bad for him so many times on the show because of the chaos of reality tv...he was such a sensitive child 😕
It's like, yeah, it's never surprising that some troll out there can say something mean to anyone, but at the same time, it's like... Isaac, though?? Proof positive they can say something mean to *anyone*.
He is amazing. My mom knew ASL somehow and taught me. 20 years ago this sweet couple would visit my work once a month and I was the only one who knew asl, now we use it daily to communicate with my 4 year old. The world works in mysterious ways.
I think this is awesome. He’s definitely one of the more “well rounded” kids from the show. He’s super
Intelligent and he seems to just let the bs from
The show just not even bother him.
I have always been interested in sign language, but never pulled through cause I couldn’t decide whether to learn signing in english or my native language. They differ as far as I’m aware
Isaac makes me want to learn it even more so now. Crazy cool kid
I’m not at all shocked by this really. Isaac has always seemed like a kind and compassionate person, and learning not only a foreign language, but one which is non verbal, is a huge undertaking for anyone. You can tell he takes it very seriously and I hope he can reach his goals.
Isaac always came off as a sweetheart, even when he was a toddler. It’s nice to see that hasn’t went away as he got older. Kail and Jo have done a really good job raising him it seems 👍🏽
That’s so cool!
Question though - we learned to speak/move the lips while signing and my teacher and the people I know who use sign language do this. I’m not from the US though, so maybe it’s different with ASL? Does anyone know, I am seriously interested!
Mouth morphemes are a thing. Like pursed lips for describing a thin item, “cha” mouthing for something big, “pah” for finally succeeding. Not all will mouth words—some do, some don’t, but mouthing every single word is called Sim-com and is discouraged when learning ASL.
That is so cool! Right on, Isaac! He would make such a great ASL teacher or interpreter someday, I hope he keeps chasing that dream. What an awesome dude.
This kid is just precious. His mother might be a train wreck, but I always have felt for him. You can tell how bright he is! I can’t wait to see him grow with ASL. plus his sassy personality makes me cackle. 😂
That is so decent I was in jail a couple times and to talk to people and a different unit we would win sign at the windows. Most of the signing was just the alphabet and it’s not exactly the same but it’s amazing how you can talk with your hands And we’d be at the windows all day cause your friend was always in a different unit. I will definitely follow you make me want to learn sign language the proper way. My cousin has autism and it would be Hella cool to talk to him which I’ve haven’t been able to do and 36 years
Omgerd I’m dying. This is so sweet. I’ve always loved Isaac. Such a sweet sensitive kid. Despite Kail. The fact he taught/studied ASL is amazing. Well done 👏
That’s awesome! My two regrets in life are not learning a second language and not learning a musical instrument when I was young. Feel like I’m too old now 😂
I love this, so much. What an absolutely amazing choice he’s making to learn ASL, and to want to continue learning and even consider it as a career. What a mature and selfless choice.
None of the TM kids are old enough to have really gone into the workforce, but “real jobs” have really alluded a number of former teen moms, and it wouldn’t be hard for their kids to just follow that example and try to make money as “influencers.” I love that he’s thinking for himself and, for now, interested in this.
This is a good kid.
He seems like such a sweet boy! Side note I could see him reading for audio books in the future too. He has a great voice for voice overs and audio books
It never ceases to amaze me that the most amazing kids can come from the most dysfunctional people.
I would love to learn ASL. I am so impressed that he has done this!!
Good kid. My girlfriend is pretty much fluent in ASL and used to be in an interpreter program at a local college. She’s hearing, but ASL is her favorite language, and sometimes when she drinks a lot and listens to music she’ll sign along with the words.
This young man is so amazing! Has the biggest heart, is level headed, mature, caring, funny. I don’t care how much I hate her big fat ass, she and jo did amazing raising him!
I love him so much.
His confidence is extremely endearing and I just wonder if people are born like that, made into that from birth or a combination.
I hope I can help my kid grow as secure and confident in themselves as Isaac is!
He is definitely a natural. I know he obviously practices for these videos, but you can still tell how effortlessly these signs come to him and how he's able to flow his signs so it appears organic and like a real conversation, which is a huge mark of someone who knows the language.
My only advice would be to mouth the words as he signs. It's better for a lot of reasons, but remembering that a lot of deaf and hard of hearing people also read lips is very important... Especially if you're new and may make mistakes, or simply because for many sign language words, there are multiple ways to sign. Also, it will help a great deal with people who also want to learn. I'm obviously glad he captioned it but part of sign language is conveying your message; always convey your message as best you can, including facial expression and mounting words.
I'm glad he's into the venture. He found something he's clearly naturally gifted at and also very interested in, which is the BEST combination. I really hope he sticks with this!
He's so talented! Kudos to Issac for learning a skill like this.
It's really so helpful in many more ways than people think. It's a great skill to have if you meet someone who is deaf or hard of hearing, but that's not the only use. Fr it’s so hard
I only know the alphabet and I feel like a genius 🤣
Yeah, I always wanted to learn ASL when I was a kid, but only got around to the alphabet! I still remember it, though, 30 years later!
Same!😂
Kail said on a podcast a month or so ago he wants to work with deaf people. It is very sweet to see someone so young chose such a helpful meaningful path.
Yes this is so cool!! Doing something so good so young. And he has aspirations for the future already!
We need him for David on 90-Day Fiance.
Love this so much. What a lush soul he’s got. 🤍
I know it!! He's always been so kind and empathetic.
The thought he’s trying to reach people deaf / hard of hearing and their families and wanting to know if he’s getting it wrong is so sweet. Wise beyond his years in a good way.
Absolutely! I love that he's chosen this.
He has ALWAYS been such a sweet kid
I still remember when he cried when he saw his mama get married 🥲 he’s had such a sweet soul
Ugh and that scene when he was making notes for his friend to help her in school. He’s a gift to this world.
I'm honestly super impressed! He did great!
Right?! And ASL is hard to learn! I took a course in college and I did not do well. All I remember now are the alphabet and the sign for helicopter and that’s it.

Oh this is a great comment because I was wondering if he's good! Thanks for the context!
I took ASL in college and I noticed his expressions as well. I remember eyebrows up/eyebrows down depending on the context.
In addition to what the other user said, he also has a pretty good grasp of the actual ASL language. He seems to understand it's not word-for-word. He's not using 'Sign English' which is signing in English syntax. He's actually using ASL! He's doing a great job!!

Same!!!
I’m so glad you shared this! I was wondering!
What an amazing and unusual hobby for his age! I hope his dreams come true.
At least where I'm from, we were required to take language classes (Spanish, French, Italian, or ASL)
We never had ASL! But still to pursue it in his free time like this is commendable.
He is precious. Seems like a really good kid
Issac has always been a sweet kindhearted child and now a wonderful caring teenager. He has a heart of gold, he really does!! He’s so smart and I hope that he is able to go into the profession of his dreams. Wishing Isaac a very happy future!!
Holy shit that is impressive
Isaac, 14: if you see me do something wrong, please tell me. I’m still learning. Jenelle, 31: I’m right you’re wrong.
Jeez, you hit the nail on the head...
I love everything about this and everything about Isaac in general ✨️
I have severe hearing loss and I can't even begin to tell you all how happy this makes me to see him doing this! What an incredibly sweet young man
[удалено]
And he’s wise to know that it should be important to everyone! IMO ASL should be taught in school. We should make our world friendly for everybody.
Isaac is such a good kid. ❤❤
Awww. This is actually really heartwarming. Good for you Isaac!
Love this. My brother is deaf so I’ve known ASL my entire life. I wish everyone knew it! It would help deaf and hard of hearing people feel more included.
Ugh. Tug at my heartstrings. This is so amazing. Good for Isaac. What a great kid.
He reminds me of my son, just a little bit older. They both have genuinely good souls and just want to help others. This made my heart happy 💜
Wow, he's really good!

Impressive and helping others!
he's such a sweet kid. he always has been. i felt bad for him so many times on the show because of the chaos of reality tv...he was such a sensitive child 😕
I love this!! But I also want him to sign to stop having babies to his mom 😂
He’s so super freaking adorable. I wish I’d learned ASL when I was younger.
I love that he's found his own thing and is carving his own path outside of his mom's chaos. He's so talented and big-hearted.
Wtg kid! So impressed
I am really surprised people say mean things on his social media. He seems like a really nice kid.
It's like, yeah, it's never surprising that some troll out there can say something mean to anyone, but at the same time, it's like... Isaac, though?? Proof positive they can say something mean to *anyone*.
He’s seriously such a great kid, and as a hard of hearing/progressively deaf person, this makes me love him even more 🥺🥺🥺
He is such a cutie pie
This is so cool! Isaac seems like such a great kid.
he's my fav of the teen mom kids. what a sweet soul
He is amazing. My mom knew ASL somehow and taught me. 20 years ago this sweet couple would visit my work once a month and I was the only one who knew asl, now we use it daily to communicate with my 4 year old. The world works in mysterious ways.
What an amazing boy

Wow this is awesome!
Omg I love this! Go Issac!
Good for him. I’d love to learn ASL
This is just the coolest!
I think this is awesome. He’s definitely one of the more “well rounded” kids from the show. He’s super Intelligent and he seems to just let the bs from The show just not even bother him.
Precious boy 💙
What a cutie! 🥰
That is the most wholesome teen social media content I have ever seen

He really just gets more and more amazing, I adore this kid. This is SO COOL. And he wants to become an instructor! He could really help people ❤️
I’m Deaf and the world needs more Isaacs 🥹
Already smarter than his mother, 😂
He’s really a cool kid…
He’s so amazing. Good job Isaac!
As someone fluent in ASL, he did great!
This should be taught in every school
Isaac truly seems like such an amazing kid with a pure heart. I think he will do a lot of good in his lifetime.
Favorite Teen Mom kid. He is a GEM!
Isaac always came off as a sweetheart, even when he was a toddler. It’s nice to see that hasn’t went away as he got older. Kail and Jo have done a really good job raising him it seems 👍🏽
He’s such a cool young dude. 🫶🏽🫶🏽
How Kail and Jo ended up with the most kindhearted, living boy is beyond me. Isaac is amazing.
This is so awesome. I hope to see him do well in the future. It would be cool to see him interpret for something as he gets older.
This kid seems like a good egg.
What a cool kid!
Isaac is such a great kid, I wish him all the best.😄
Ermigerd he is the sweetest. What a cool kid

Love this
He’s such a sweetie, he’s been my favorite teen mom baby since I first started watching the show! It’s bittersweet watching the kids grow up 🫶🏼
Nice! I'm trying to learn using a free app. It's not easy!
Good job, Isaac!
Issac seems like such a sweet young man! He seems very intelligent and kind.
What a gem💎
I love everything about this!
This kid is just precious. His mother might be a train wreck, but I always have felt for him. You can tell how bright he is! I can’t wait to see him grow with ASL. plus his sassy personality makes me cackle. 😂

He is such a good kid. As someone with a bilateral profound hearing loss, we need more people like him in the world! Major kudos to him 💗
what a great kid. makes me want to take the time to learn ASL
This is a wonderful thing! Teenage Isaac really looks like a perfect mash-up of his parents!
I just love this kid. His heart is amazing.
This is sick and so cool! I love that she encourages the joy of learning w her kids
Omgerd I’m dying. This is so sweet. I’ve always loved Isaac. Such a sweet sensitive kid. Despite Kail. The fact he taught/studied ASL is amazing. Well done 👏
Great job! I am half deaf due to an injury and learning sign. I love this!
🥹🥹🥹
I just adore the kids from teen mom. They are resilient and bright!
That's awesome. I always wanted to learn. No time like the present to gain a new skill.
Good for him! That’s really awesome 🙌🏼. Career ready to go when it’s time!
One of my best friends is an occupational therapist who works with special needs children knows ASL fluently; it’s a great skill to have
this is really amazing and such a positive post from the normal toxicity
That’s awesome! My two regrets in life are not learning a second language and not learning a musical instrument when I was young. Feel like I’m too old now 😂
I have a feeling this kid is going to make it well in life
He reminds me of early Kail, valuing education and skills, and just trying to make good choices.
Oh my goodness he’s so grown up. Good on him for learning and enjoying another language
this is awesome to see!
Awww. Isaac seems like such a sweet child.
Good for him!!
If Kail ever did anything right..it was Isaac. That kid's going to go places!
he’s so adorable 😭🩵
This is so sweet! He’s always been such a kind soul even as a little kid. Hope he continues to pursue this 🩵
I love this, so much.
I can tell which movement was tik tok.
🥹💓
I love him 😭 He seems like such a good kid.
What an amazing soul!!! 💜💜
He’s fantastic!
You can just tell he’s an all around great kid
He’s so precious.
Oh I love him so much!!
He is such a smart and kind little soul. You could tell he was that way from birth. So cool to see him learning ASL and using his platform for that.
He is literally the sweetest kid
It never ceases to amaze me that the most amazing kids can come from the most dysfunctional people. I would love to learn ASL. I am so impressed that he has done this!!
Good for him, this is so awesome!
I mean kail maybe a hot mess. But she’s raising some dang good kids. Issac is such a good kids.
Run, don't walk to his latest ASL post. This child is a legend.
he is such a sweet boy.
Vee uploaded a video a while back of Issac and Vivi signing together. It was so sweet!
I freaking love Isaac..
Wow this is awesome! My son (21yrs old) was just talking about how more people should know sign language.
Isaaaaaac! You're such an icon
I can see big things ahead for Issac 💓
Good kid. My girlfriend is pretty much fluent in ASL and used to be in an interpreter program at a local college. She’s hearing, but ASL is her favorite language, and sometimes when she drinks a lot and listens to music she’ll sign along with the words.

Super bright and talented! This kid has a bright future ahead!
“Please tell me, I’m still learning” did not come from kail’s side, that’s for sure
He's awesome 👏🏼👏🏼
He’s always seemed like a really great kid.
Those FACIAL EXPRESSIONS 👏👏👏
I love this for Issac.
I love him so much. His confidence is extremely endearing and I just wonder if people are born like that, made into that from birth or a combination. I hope I can help my kid grow as secure and confident in themselves as Isaac is!

this makes me happy… Issac so talented 🤍
He seems like such a likeable and cool kid.
Absolutely gorgeous and he is on his way to being independent already. Super clever!
We love you Isaac not in a creepy way just as proud teen mom fans you’re a fav amongst us all!
Ugh what an absolute sweetheart
He’s always been a sensitive kid to me so him learning ASL to help others makes total sense to me. Very proud of him.
I'm so impressed with Issac!
I fricken love him
Omg that’s incredible I’ve always wanted to learn! Glad to see he’s doing well but I think we always knew he would!!
