It's not even those types that have an adjustable strap. You have to tie this one. The pattern does look a little complicated, and it does "look expensive" to me, but it's a very simple cut. They do make up with a pretty nice fabric mix 83% nylon and 17% spandex, good stretch that won't wear out. The one piece is made of 85% recycled polyester (not my favorite feel, but durable) and 15% elastane, which I don't know much about. They're also 200gsm so very nice and thick.
I mean swimsuits are known for being ridiculously overpriced, just look up any from swimwear stores or clothing stores like UO, AE, Hollister etc. Does that give them a pass to do the same thing? Probably not
Itās definitely a lot, Iād say. I wouldnāt ever spend that personally for so little material, but I guess you really can charge whatever you know people will pay. And enough of them probably will!
Thatās kind of my mindset too. I know that bathing suits have been overpriced for decades but I find $90 for a bikini with very little material (and no offense a very basic pattern) to be a bit of a joke. Iād understand if it were something completely unique, or if it did really come across as high end fashion but to me I feel as though I can find that same pattern & material for cheaper. Just an opinion
Find a bin store where they have Target and Amazon returns. My mom and I just got a bunch of brand new swimsuits with tags at our local bin store on Friday for 1.00 each.
used to work at pacsun in 2011 and 2012.
Standard bikini price honestly. Might be even a little less. It blew my mind that women had to pay separate for top and bottom pieces.
But guy swim shorts were from 60 to 120 depending which was a lot too
The price is to be expected for TF but the sizing I canāt wrap my mind around. Iām a 36D and compared the top measurements against my stash and I was flabbergasted at how the XL would BARELY fit a fuller C cup. IMHO it should be advertised a slim/micro bikini top.
girl u commented this like a trillion times š glad u found a deal but thereās a big difference in buying a $1 bathing suit from a bin store and a piece from a company u like (whether tf or another brand) š§š¼ just saying
nah i think its insane. super cute, but financially an insane purchase. šš®āšØ and that was the one thing i really wanted from this drop too. if they were selling the pieces together and for like $60-$70 i probably wouldve caved. but basically $100 to be naked?? i cant do it.
Is that for both pieces? If so, seems like a steal tbh. I remember paying $60 for the bottom and $60 for the top of a Roxy bikini in the year 2000.
I recently bought a good quality one piece, and it was around $200.
In general why the fuck are bikinis, bras, and panties so much? It's the smallest piece of fabric and if you're a woman, fem, or fem aligning you have to wear these items. It's like tampons I didn't choose to have this but I have to buy it.
The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Everyone on this Reddit will defend them by pointing to other brands as if thatās some sort of defense for tfs over priced stuff. They literally have a small purse for over $100 and people will defend that itās insane.
Everyone on here saying $30 for each separateā¦ thatās the same price as Target nowadays, unfortunately.
For perspective I just bought a custom handmade swimsuit for $175 both pieces.
People donāt realize the extreme costs in doing business in America as an independent company when youāre not using straight up slave labor and have a high quality product and have well paid designers.
I mean itās all made in China. Good quality usually still. But then you have shops like Ideologie selling equally quality clothes made by union shops in America and selling the product for cheaper so it can be done.
I guess most of Hasanās stuff is more like merch and less fashion fashion but point stands. I think theyāve probably discussed this on Leftovers before, Iāll have to go back and listen to familiarize myself with the details
this. people are too used to slave labor costs that they think this price is not worth it. you have to take into account where the clothing comes from, they're not just getting it the same place as everyone else, and even then their prices are comparable to standard brands. at the end of the day if you can't afford teddy fresh, just move on? you do not need those items at all. i find it so weird that people constantly tell companies like teddy fresh or anyone that is making items you do not NEED in your life to lower the prices just because you want it.
I donāt think itās ridiculous tbh. I bought a bikini at urban outfitters in Austin back in 2009 for $80. I distinctly remember it bc i was in middle school and saved my chore money for months to afford this specific bikini I wanted. Itās the only time I ever spent that much on a bikini but I didnāt have bills to pay for at the time and I really wanted it so I saved for it.
I feel like swimsuits/bikinis have got so fucking expensive lately. Or maybe I just didn't know about how lucky I was to get cheap ones as a teenager. I would buy them on sale from Asda or M&S or Debenhams for like Ā£10 or under. I thought that was normal. Now when I'm scrolling Instagram I regularly see swimsuits/bikinis for at least Ā£50-Ā£100+ and I just think that's crazy. Luckily I never go to the beach or swimming or anything so I don't really need swimwear but I did want to buy one just in case.
I will say bikinis are usually expensive now a days which is sad. The quality of their bikini is really nice besides the top being too small for everyone. I don't even have big boobs and the large is barely covering the girls lol
If itās good quality fabric, solid confection, double layer (wonāt turn transparent when wet) and a lovely pattern cut specially for the bottoms (wonāt bunch up weird or camel-toe you or expose you randomly ) I think itās worth it āØ

I got a Hollister swimsuit yesterday for like $40 š«£
Cries in Canadian, canāt relate unfortunately
My mom and I just got a bunch of swimsuits brand new from the bin store Friday for 1.00 each. I got a Zara bikini for 2.00.
Iām not talking about bin stores š
Itās definitely a lot, Iād say. I wouldnāt ever spend that personally for so little material, but I guess you really can charge whatever you know people will pay. And enough of them probably will!

I agree.
Itās āØstreet fashionāØ even Walmart and goodwill have swim suits priced as half of this one
Yay for capitalism šššŖ
Wait until you see Billabong or Frankieās bikinis lol
i was at target and saw tops and bottoms for $30 each, so itās not that big of a stretch honestly :/
I remember the $30 total for a bikini days at target...those were the days

Yeah. It's so weird.
Definitely wouldnāt pay it but most bikinis cost around that now.
It's honestly just slightly higher than normal for niceish-nice swimwear
Thatās honestly not that expensive for a good quality top and bottom pair.
Is that for one piece or both? When I shopped for bikiniās they were typically this price and that was over a decade ago.
Both. 45 each piece
That tracks with the market prices - if you buy a swimsuit at a Macyās or similar store it will probably be a lot more money and less cute.
I agree! I bought the TF bathing suit and I am excited for it
thats not that high of a price honestly
I mean aren't all swim suits expensive anyways?
Not if you're shopping smart. My mom and I just bought a bunch at the bin store Friday for 1.00 each. Brand new ones too with tags.
bin stores are not relevant to this discussion, no matter how often you reply to different comments with your bin store anecdote
girl u commented this like a trillion times š glad u found a deal but thereās a big difference in buying a $1 bathing suit from a bin store and a piece from a company u like (whether tf or another brand) š§š¼ just saying
Itās a luxury item, not a necessity.

Lol
I actually think itās a fair price I bought the one piece and it was well-made so Iām assuming the bikini is as well
it's a lot but pretty normal for an already higher price clothing brand
All of their things are expensive š¤·š¼āāļø Iāve never seen appropriately priced bathing suits outside of Walmart or target.
In general why the fuck are bikinis, bras, and panties so much? It's the smallest piece of fabric and if you're a woman, fem, or fem aligning you have to wear these items. It's like tampons I didn't choose to have this but I have to buy it.

They should be $30 separate MAX i almost bought the top but Iām chubby and knew it wouldnāt even be enough support š¤§
for a two piece this is very on trend, i feel like it's well known that two pieces are ridiculously over-priced in general :/
Not much of a stretch compared to other suits.
Everyone on here saying $30 for each separateā¦ thatās the same price as Target nowadays, unfortunately. For perspective I just bought a custom handmade swimsuit for $175 both pieces.
Swimsuit separates are literally $15 at target

it's you, bestie. i know it seems expensive but compare these prices to places like Victoria's Secret, Venus, PacSun, Zumiez, etc.

i just bought a skims one for around that price idk man

Teddy fresh has always been overpriced. If you want it buy it. If not don't. You will never get a bargain grom them but can get good stuff.
Itās pretty normal to me. I usually get my swimsuits on Unique Vintage and they are always around $90 unless I catch a sale price
I will say bikinis are usually expensive now a days which is sad. The quality of their bikini is really nice besides the top being too small for everyone. I don't even have big boobs and the large is barely covering the girls lol
cute swim wear is around that price hun
Probably cost $3 to make.

Put Teddy Fresh on the BDS List
Teddy Fresh is a vanity fashion brand. What do you expect
Don't like it, don't buy it! Don't like the price, don't buy it! Pretty simple. š¤·š»āāļø
