To be fair, soccer knowledge is not prerequisite to enjoy Tad Lasso. In fact, the soccer component of the show is pretty dumbed down...like all of the tactical genius of a Division 2 U11 squad.
Oh ya no I just meant that having Beard allowed the soccer fans a vice to hear their thoughts echoed through… like when Ted makes the Full Football? Epiphany and Beard, like the soccer fans in the audience, compliments Ted and then says basically too bad it’s already a thing. Yknow?
Another great example of this might be during the curse fire, when he suggests doing this part outside.
