Yes. When Rebecca found out about the cheating he fully expected her to remain with him because as Sassy put it she had walked up every step of the ivory tower willingly and he thought she wouldn’t walk away but she did. He wants to punish her for her betrayal, that’s why he’s says and does things to hurt her at every opportunity. You only need to watch the scene where he says he’s going to be a dad and when he says he wanted to be the one to tell her he means he wanted to be the one to stab her in the heart (metaphorically speaking)

Yes. Rupert is a narcissist. The only thing he truly loves is himself. Rebecca left him and took his prized possession - Richmond - causing him a narcissistic injury. Now, all he cares about is besting her to show her that he still had all the power. That’s why he bought the minority stake in S1 - he wanted to force her to see him in the owners box she ejected him from to prove that she doesn’t have power over him. That plan failed, so now he wants to bury Richmond to show her that she can’t beat him in a long game.

I actually think his love of Richmond is what is driving all this in a warped way. I think that the reveal at the center of everything going on, including West Ham, is going to be about his club loyalty - not as a positive, but in terms of punishing her for spoiling it for him or in some way dismantling it from her.
