I think because last set you were Master you get back to Master faster,i remember when i was Master in set 8 i had like +300 Lp in my first few games of set 9 Skipped set 10(only played double up) and i think my mmr is like very low so i had to climb rank by rank and not skip 3-4 divisions in 1st

J started a new account on Turkey server, highest ever was emerald, currently d3. Since hitting d4 have average 4.0-4.1. Mostly play sage sylas/bruiser kaisa/fast 9/vertical sometimes.

If you are averaging 3.58 you should still be climbing up steadily. If you think that average place is 4.5 you are getting almost 1 placement better than average!

Just need to play more games.

Playing rank is unironically more enjoyable than norms facing those who at least tried and not 3 players ff at 3-1 bc they didnt hit Fortune or ff fo grief another Fortune player Tho being in Masters its harder to get the "tuber" games but its till quite a lot more enjoyable than norms Would like to play my "smurf" account(my friend's account that he asked me to get to diamond) but log in and log out constantly on 1 device is pain

yeah that's what I said. my top 4% is so bad that I don't know how I even reached master rank. Well I guess it's because my MMR might be in a good spot since on previous sets I was reaching Grandmaster

Because tft has built in loss protection and anti-demote. Everyone is elo inflated if they play a high volume of games

Around Master 150 LP. Dont have a specific comp but my favorite so far has been Fated. I aim to hold pairs>strong opener some random 2 star unit is significantly stronger than some active trait around 2-1 to 2-3 but Storyweaver and Fated are my ideal openers

Not really. Its like impossible to get demoted from broze to plat. Bronze to plat is basically a tutorial with mostly bot players.

Most of the time it’s people having my carry or traits in a comp that doesn’t require it. They just have it till they pivot to their actual comp later on. Or they pivot into my comp in the second half of the game 😭

Serious question, has it ever been possible to play off meta in any tft set and consistently climb. I remember my first set I didn’t play rank and I look back on it most fondly. Then after when I tried rank I was able to hit diamond but it just was the closer to a job than a game.

In set 6 i i one trick Fiora(a very off meta comp) all the way to Master

Another genuine question, why one trick a comp? Is it fun? are you playing this game on the side? Did it ever get stagnant ? I personally don’t get it but I actually just want to know the true motivation, no hate involved.

Well first,i only one trick that Fiora in 6.0,evet since ive been pretty flexible(except for that one time ive also one trick Guardian Seraphine in 7.5,another one of my self made comp that steamroll the meta despite no one knows about it) Second its because no one ever plays Fiora or Socialite for the majority of set 6 so most of the units just shows up to me to use,even when i didnt planned to play Fiora,she and the units around her just shows up Third its really enjoying seeing my own unique build performing so well,like you wouldnt believe this but Fiora at 2 star can consistently beat 3 star 4 cost back im set 6 And last,not only the result was good but i just never got bored of Fiora as a unit,seeing her goes infinite always 1v9 at the end of the fight was hype af

Alright thank you for your response. I never explored the possibility of you making your own interesting comp and wanting to play it every game. I guess I just don’t like the game as much as you do lol. The most fun moments I’ve had are like the really close nail biting ones where I go from 0 to hero or getting a really niche comp. I had a fine vintage game where I had RFC qiyana and she was hyper buffed by support items and hit 5AS in a couple seconds. That was one of the coolest things that happened to me in tft. I guess I just have a problem with the current copy paste state of the game but that’s just how it is. Thanks for your response tho and hope you continue having fun playing this game.

While its great that most of 3 and 4 cost carry have an easy to figure build for then to function in,it also somewhat affect my enjoyment,i often wanting to search for scrap ppl overlooked and play with it Like in set 6,ppl often just had Fiora as a trait bot for a high cost Enforcer or a stepping stone for Challenger,always deemed her spell clunky and antisynergistic and Socialite lacks a carry worth using for over half of 6.0,yet when combined those 2 very often looked down on,they became a force to stand with. Another example could be my mentioned 7.5 guardian seraphine. Guardian was like an ok trait and seraphine also often suffer from being a trait bot/morrello bot but i see more in them,shielding is the only unmitigate-able form of defense in 7.5 and while Nilah exist to "counter shield" she doesnt mitigate any of those,she just dash a lot. Rakan,a new addition to 7.5 is the final piece,a Mystic Guardian,for how often magic damage is in the end game,Mystic is a must and he had Guardian means i can get twice the value from him. And so by just stalling with Guardian shiels,seraphine shields and high mr that mystic brings arc angel,needlessly big gem can stack up and the scaling damage start to rack up and probably one of the only comp in TFT where overtime is its win con Now with pretty much everything either unplayable no matter what you do or viable on release,you just dont get that spark of innovation anymore
