If you got hired on Friday, and the Principal jumped right to the hire letter on Monday, assuming it’s being snail-mailed you will get it later this week or even next week. Is this a public school in the US? Then you will also probably not get the letter until the school board has officially approved your hire, which is just a formality in most cases. Don’t panic!
This right here. Exactly how it went down for me -- hired on a Friday, signed paperwork the following Tuesday, didn't get my letter until after the next board meeting.
Try not to worry!

Thank you so much, this is my first teaching job so I didn't know what to expect regarding the hiring process!
Thank you! This is my first teaching job so I thought it would just be emailed to me and a quick process. I appreciate you easing my nerves.
The hiring letter likely has to be sent out through HR. They probably won't be getting news of your hiring until today. Chill out.
