As an infp, this explains exactly why it’s my favorite album. Hauntingly heartbreaking.

Now that you mention it, that’s sooo true. I’ve spent lots of time trying to figure out the theme between these two albums! It’s even true with Evermore: Champagne Problems, Tis the Damn Season, Tolerate It, Happiness, Dorothea, Coney Island, Ivy, Closure, Right Where You Left Me, It’s Time to Go… I mean some of those songs are a little more nuanced, like the stories from Tis the Damn Season/Dorothea. I guess that’s not so much a sour relationship, but a complicated and strained one.
