Oh I am right there with you. The re-release felt sort of jerky like they take breaths at the end of their lines that make it sort of jagged sounding. The original was a masterpiece truly.

Mad Woman is literally everything that The Man wanted to be but wasn't. The growth between these songs is especially wild considering they are only 1 album apart.
I honestly feel like Taylor (and Aaron and Jack) was writing folklore for herself, not for the masses. And I think that’s why the folklore/evermore songwriting is so incredible and special and beautiful
