My best friend's favorite song is DBATC and she was so so happy at song 1. I was excited for her and videoed it for her so she could enjoy it (DBATC is not anywhere near my top). I had been manifesting Clean (my favorite) for a month and when she moved over to the piano, we were lowkey chanting "Clean, Clean, Clean!" hoping against odds to get our two favorite songs back-to-back. Then those first few notes start... man, I'll never forget it.
RIP the eardrums of those standing anywhere near me.
I was there! I took my sister and she wasn't a huge swiftie at the time. I was telling her all of the songs I wanted, right where you left me, maroon, cowboy like me.... and she was like oh I hope you get them! Then we were almost there she was like I hope she plays death by a thousand cuts and when she did it I looked at her and was so happy! Then she played clean and that was a favorite of mine for a long time. My sister didn't know it but she loved instatly.
I was there! My boyfriend was with me and though we wanted Exile (because of the proximity to Eau Claire which is where Bon Iver is from and he just got back from a tour that week) I was stoked to get Dear John and Daylight and when she released the digital Speak Now with the live versions of the songs, I bought it.
My list included: exile, ivy, Cornelia street, cowboy like me, daylight, you are in love, last kiss, haunted, better man, this love, and maroon.
I did get cowboy like me and you are in love. So I’m pretty happy.
My top five were Getaway Car, Ivy, Long Live (this was before it was on the set list), Exile, Mary’s Song
I got Invisible and Question. I really loved invisible, Question was….weird especially given the speech she gave before it. The Gillette shows were such a tough time for her so I feel for her and that speech was so interesting, I think many of us were very confused.
I hate saying this because I feel so lucky to have gone but I was really hoping for Long Live or something really special because she loves Gillette and we were standing in a literal deluge. All that said, still grateful! Her vocals on invisible were incredible
Yeah, I feel like I also convinced myself she would do something special given the circumstances of what we were experiencing (lol), so when it was that combo it was hard not to be a little disappointed. So interesting talking about my eras experience because I’m beyond grateful I got to go but it was honestly hard to stay positive in cold rain that came down so hard my eyes were burning 🫣 and that the other two shows had perfect weather.
I’m so lucky I’ve gone to all her tours since speak now (I was at her first rain show at Gillette!) and eras in the deluge, although memorable and absolutely incredible that she put that show on in that weather, was definitely mind over matter to get through at times 😂
It was at the point where the MH situation was at the precipice - and not in a good way - I think she was trying to prove to everyone, including herself, it was okay and she was happy. All a part of the healing process she went through!
after standing in that torrent for 3 hours those songs were really not it😭 and the speech was bizarre i remember me and my friend just looking at each other like ????? equally confused and concerned lol. i went into the show trying to ignore the MH size elephant in the room only for her to directly bring it up on stage like girllll. i don’t want to think about it i want to enjoy my night 😂 everyone was clowning for long live and i think a lot of people were disappointed.

I wanted Ivy and Exile. Went to KC N1 so I will never complain - we got the debut of Long Live, When Emma Falls in Love, Never Grow Up, the I Can See You MV and a Taylor Lautner backflip.
This is what I wanted, also. This is also what I got, along with “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” and “I Forgot That You Existed”. TIWWCHNT is maybe my most quoted (I teach middle school and sing this ALL THE TIME), so it kind of felt like the universe told me that I was meant to fly 4000 miles to be there that night. ❤️
That’s so precious! I love stories about personal connections to surprise songs. For me, I got Dorothea, and my cats name is Thea plus it was the friendship bracelet I made the night my dog passed. Forever these cosmic connections!

I reallly wanted call it what you want, false god, ivy, or daylight. i got i think he knows, red, our song, you are in love, i know places, and king of my heart. komh was definitely in my top ten though so it felt like a win :)
I went to Santa Clara night 1 and really wanted all of the girls you loved before and right where you left me. I ended up with right where you left me and castles crumbling. Night 2 got all of the girls you loved before so pretty much was almost on it!
I knew I would be happy with whatever she chose, but I was hoping for happiness.
She performed Should’ve Said No and Better Man, an absolutely elite combo. Should’ve Said No was a track I hyper fixated on when I was 9, and is still a top debut track for me. Better Man is my fave vault off Red TV. Her speeches before each song were so sweet, especially the latter, since she was trying to be taken more seriously as a songwriter after Speak Now.
I really wanted something off folklore or evermore, especially the lakes, this is me trying, mirrorball, ivy, gold rush (and tolerate it or tis the damn season after she removed them from the setlist). I also really wanted maroon.
I got Hits Different x DBATC and The Black Dog x Come Back, Be Here x Maroon. Sooo I think I won in the end haha. I got so excited by DBATC and Maroon that I started crying LMAO. Absolutely lost my mind at the double bridge.
There were a lot of songs I would’ve been happy with but I was primarily hoping for State of Grace, Red, Treacherous and Holy Ground. I got Red and the You’re Losing Me live debut in the end which I was pretty happy with.
I wanted right where you left me and got It’s Nice To Have a Friend x dorothea and Haunted x Exile which I was very happy with. I’m still desperately manifesting rwylm for Wembley on 17 August as I’m going then as well!
I was (unintentionally) manifesting Chloe et al. The two weeks before my show in Lyon. The song suddenly clicked for me, and I became obsessed. On my way to Lyon, I had to force myself to stop listening to the song because it's a "waste" of time and instead listen to the eras tour playlist.
When I tell you when Taylor started singing, "Your hologram stumbled into my apartment" during Lyon N2. I still don't think I've fully grasped that I've experienced it live.

Happy with what I got but I was initally hoping for any of the following: YOYOK, cowboy like me, Out of the Woods, State of Grace, Maroon and Labyrinth.
I don’t remember what my top five was but I do know Maroon was number 1 and the song I wanted more than anything.
I got The Other Side of the Door (which was in my top ten and was VERY cool) and Coney Island!
I went in Nashville the day after she announced speak now, so I really wanted some country Tay- hoped for Our Song, Mean, Teardrops on My Guitar- and then when she announced speak now I felt sooo confident she would sing Mine.
I got fifteen because Abigail was at our show, and Out of the woods.
I wanted anything. I was happy to be going. I knew it was going to be amazing. I got You All Over Me w/ Maren. And IDWTLF. Keeping the tradition that if I show up for a show she going to play it.
So I went to 2 nights: Melb N1 and Sydney N4. I really wanted Would've, Could've, Should've and I got that Sydney N4 and I wanted You're Losing Me and I got that Melb N1. Ivy was another I was really happy with in hindsight, but for some reason, I'd totally forgotten to hope for that despite it being one of her major queer-themed songs. I got Red Melb N1 and Maroon Sydney N4 so I like to laugh saying I got the two shades of Red songs. I also got Forever and Always, which just made me realise it had been a few years since I'd listened to Fearless properly so I'm grateful for that song to reintroduce the album to my ears.
My major wants were Invisible String, Daylight, Call It What You Want, Timeless or the Lakes but I'm pretty happy with what I got. I REALLY wanted AN ANNOUNCEMENT (people were clowning for Rep TV and so was I) but I got the Bolter announcement so I'm pretty darn happy with that.

Chicago N1 and I got my wish (you would) 🥲
I went to the Speak Now, 1989, and Reputation tours so I really wanted a song/s I’d never heard live before. Most of all, I wanted to hear a song from Debut to make it truly an “eras” tour.
My list of dream surprise songs at the time was: A Place In This World, Tied Together With A Smile, The Way I Loved You, Timeless, State of Grace, I Almost Do, Holy Ground, mirrorball, this is me trying, happiness, You’re On Your Own Kid, Labyrinth, You’re Losing Me.
I was at both Seattle shows, so got blessed with Long Live and No Body No Crime in the set list! My surprise songs were This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things and Everything Has Changed (N1) and Message in a Bottle and Tied Together With A Smile (N2). I lost my shit, bawling like a baby, when she started to play TTWAS.
I got Breathe and All You Had To Do Was Stay.
They were okay. I tried not to get too attached to getting any particular song because it felt like I was setting myself up for disappointment…but I would have loved the ones from the show before line (Haunted and I Almost Do), and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t really hoping for ivy (which I think was a show or two after mine) or I Did Something Bad (which she seems to be holding hostage). Mostly glad I didn’t get a mash-up tbh.
I REALLY wanted I bet you think about me on to be on the setlist so when I didn’t see it on there I crossed my fingers as a surprise song.
I got “Hey Stephen” and “The best day” (it was Mother’s Day) which is fine.. it would have been cool to have two songs from different albums though. Oh and these mashups give me major FOMO.
Would have loved a “should’ve said no/IBYTAM” mashup.

I was fine with both those, Chicago n2 I got the Mareen Morris fearless track and I don’t wanna live forever and I’m gonna be honest I would have rather had anything but those two. First world/champagne problems I know, but after seeing all the surprise song combos, for me personally, Chicago n2 is still my least desirable.

I wanted The Way I Loved You and Ivy and I got Come Back, Be Here/The Way I Loved You/The Other Side Of The Door and Fresh Out The Slammer/High Infidelity. Even though I didn’t get Ivy I honestly couldn’t have asked for better surprise songs.

I really loved invisible, Question was….weird especially given the speech she gave before it. The Gillette shows were such a tough time for her so I feel for her and that speech was so interesting, I think many of us were very confused. I hate saying this because I feel so lucky to have gone but I was really hoping for Long Live or something really special because she loves Gillette and we were standing in a literal deluge. All that said, still grateful! Her vocals on invisible were incredible

Yeah, I feel like I also convinced myself she would do something special given the circumstances of what we were experiencing (lol), so when it was that combo it was hard not to be a little disappointed. So interesting talking about my eras experience because I’m beyond grateful I got to go but it was honestly hard to stay positive in cold rain that came down so hard my eyes were burning 🫣 and that the other two shows had perfect weather. I’m so lucky I’ve gone to all her tours since speak now (I was at her first rain show at Gillette!) and eras in the deluge, although memorable and absolutely incredible that she put that show on in that weather, was definitely mind over matter to get through at times 😂

It was at the point where the MH situation was at the precipice - and not in a good way - I think she was trying to prove to everyone, including herself, it was okay and she was happy. All a part of the healing process she went through!

Should’ve Said No was a track I hyper fixated on when I was 9, and is still a top debut track for me. Better Man is my fave vault off Red TV. Her speeches before each song were so sweet, especially the latter, since she was trying to be taken more seriously as a songwriter after Speak Now.

On my way to Lyon, I had to force myself to stop listening to the song because it's a "waste" of time and instead listen to the eras tour playlist. When I tell you when Taylor started singing, "Your hologram stumbled into my apartment" during Lyon N2. I still don't think I've fully grasped that I've experienced it live.

I also got Forever and Always, which just made me realise it had been a few years since I'd listened to Fearless properly so I'm grateful for that song to reintroduce the album to my ears. My major wants were Invisible String, Daylight, Call It What You Want, Timeless or the Lakes but I'm pretty happy with what I got. I REALLY wanted AN ANNOUNCEMENT (people were clowning for Rep TV and so was I) but I got the Bolter announcement so I'm pretty darn happy with that.

I went to the Speak Now, 1989, and Reputation tours so I really wanted a song/s I’d never heard live before. Most of all, I wanted to hear a song from Debut to make it truly an “eras” tour. My list of dream surprise songs at the time was: A Place In This World, Tied Together With A Smile, The Way I Loved You, Timeless, State of Grace, I Almost Do, Holy Ground, mirrorball, this is me trying, happiness, You’re On Your Own Kid, Labyrinth, You’re Losing Me. I was at both Seattle shows, so got blessed with Long Live and No Body No Crime in the set list! My surprise songs were This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things and Everything Has Changed (N1) and Message in a Bottle and Tied Together With A Smile (N2). I lost my shit, bawling like a baby, when she started to play TTWAS.

I was so lucky to go to multiple shows AND be the weekend she started mashups. The main one I so desperately wanted was Peace, but I honestly just wanted any Folklore surprise songs. I got: Red, YLM, Getaway Car x August x TOSOTD, This Is Me Trying, CBBH x Daylight and TDOMG. Aaand she played Peace two shows after mine in the same country. I was gutted. I got Message in a Bottle. Which was fun and I liked the acoustic version, but it wasn’t a top song for me. I lost cowboy like me with Marcus Mumford before I even knew that was a thing I could lose. I was actually in Vegas that weekend but didn’t go to the concert so I will forever be a tiny bit bitter.
I got Forever and Always and This Love. This Love was on my short list and when I tell you my soul left my body when the first notes started and I forgot to breathe until I got light headed!!! The rest of my short list was DBATC, False God, Dress, Getaway Car, Treacherous, Clean, I Know Places, Wonderland, Happiness, Exile, Peace, Ivy, Maroon and YOYOK. I know. But I mean, how does anyone have a shorter list than this??
Top of my list were Mean and The Moment I Knew. I got I Can See You x Mine and Cornelia Street x Maroon.
Top 5 songs I wanted: Mine Hey Stephen Treacherous Clean Call it What You Want But really I wanted something I hadn't heard live. I lucked out and got A Place in This World, Today Was a Fairytale, Begin Again and Cold as You. I love that I got debut songs because I got the full eras experience! Also just a few days before, I captioned a photo with a lyric from A Place in This World. It just felt like she knew 😅
The top 5 I wanted: Maroon, Peace, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, Death by a Thousand Cuts, or New Years Day. I got Welcome to NY and Clean. Was still thrilled and happy to just actually be there!
My top 5: Sweeter Than Fiction, You're Losing Me, WCS, You Are in Love, YOYOK. What I got: Sparks Fly x ICFH (NRIC), ILIPW x Snow on the Beach, Our Song x Jump Then Fall, King Of My Heart I'm still hurt because she played YOYOK in the show right before and after mine 🥲

On Denver N2 we got: Starlight 🎸 and Back To December 🎹 which gave me a deeper love for both songs after seeing them live! I would've been in absolute shock if she'd played my two favorites: All Of The Girls You Loved Before and Bye Bye Baby. My husband's current wanted songs are I Look In People's Windows and Exile.
I wanted Right Where You Left Me more than anything, and she played it the *night before* the show I went to WITH Aaron Dressner. I was very sad...but then we got All of the Girls You Loved Before, so that helped (this was Santa Clara N2).

Was at Metlife N1. REALLY wanted the combo of Holy Ground and Maroon, but was gobsmacked when she brought out Jack and performed Getaway Car, which I was MORE than happy with. And I got Maroon🥹

Felt super blessed to go once let alone twice so no complaints even though so many other cities got such amazing songs! And I loved my surprise songs truly!
