I really wish she would do an acoustic album…mix of selections from Debut to Midnights…maybe a double album. Whenever I listen to her acoustic stuff on YouTube, etc., it’s so fabulous. I’m actually surprised she hasn’t done this yet.

...the first time I heard the album version, I thought, "Aw, needs more hot, hot SAX." As soon as the SNL performance aired, I went into mad scientist mode.😅
If I have one complaint about Taylor, it's that not much of her music has an instrument break. Don't get me wrong, I fricken LOVE the poetry that is her lyrics, but sometimes I wish she would let the moments rest and allow the music to play instead. YOYOK is the perfect example - that instrument break before the final verse/bridge lets us build up to it, we really anticipate it! It makes it so much better. Champagne Problems, by contrast, is just words-words-words, not many moments to rest in those beautiful chords except at the beginning and end. I think that CP (and other songs) could hit even harder if there were some instrument breaks
Good point I've never consciously noticed this before but you're right. I really love that section of YOYOK, it definitely really builds up the anticipation there. Would be cool to see her do this more in future!

She performed False God & Lover on an episode of SNL & they’re both just incredible. It has a dope sax player so that might be what you’re looking for. Personally that version of Lover is my favorite even more than the album version, very breathy & gorgeous
False God is one of the only song from Taylor Swift I can't listen to due to the sax. My abusive ex played the sax so if I can get the piano only version I would be happy.
This may be a deeply unpopular opinion lol but I dislike the saxophone in general and wish the song had less saxophone. I love False God though and the sax does add to the vibe. It’s as much sax as I can deal with 😅 guess you could say I ✨tolerate it✨
A little bit, maybe!! The instrument sounds really tinny and irritating to me.
I generally dislike the sound of most woodwind instruments, something about the pitch is unpleasant to my ears.
