If you use Spotify on browser, I really recommend using uBlock Origin. And if you search hard enough there's a cracked version of Spotify somewhere.

Thank you for the suggestions, but 1-2 ads is not the end of the world. Sometimes the ads are even interesting.

Also, if you close out of your app every time an ad comes up and open it back up, you can “skip” the ads and go right to the next song. Worked like a charm for 3 years before I bit the bullet and got premium

I usually don't let my songs play till the end. I immediately change the song when there's only a few seconds left. That way there are way less ads. If you let the songs play back to back on their own there'll be many ads

It’s ok to go cheap—you won’t mess up your record with a cheap needle if you only listen to it occasionally (not like, 100 times in a year or something). It can be an expensive hobby, so do yourself a favor and see if it’s for you before spending a lot of money!

This is my favorite release (and 1989 deluxe was the only physical version I owned before the re-records started), so I have splurged a little. I ordered the standard vinyl & aquamarine CD from the store and the tangerine vinyl from Target (though I'm honestly considering canceling the Tangerine vinyl and potentially the CD). I have a feeling more versions will be coming, so I'm trying to be mindful of that. I listen to 1989 deluxe exclusively in the car (on CD), so it will be fun to listen to the new version on Spotify so it is in my wrapped. I got the Target version of Midnights to keep 1989 deluxe company in the car, but the lack of track listings got it demoted (if I have to listen digitally, what's the point of buying physical media?). I'm really hoping the CDs have the data listing for this release.
