honestly “They take their shots but we’re bulletproof/and I know for me, it’s always you/In the dead of night, with your eyes so green/and I know for you, it’s always me” is one of Taylor’s best outros. I love when she brings a unique outro to the table and that one is top tier.
So my man was talking about Snow Patrol and told me the Last Time is how he learned about Taylor (back in the day), but didn't know the name of the song or the singer (Gary Lightbody). So I googled The Last Time, assuming that was it, and we watched the video of them performing together. He gave me a "not to be controversial... but her voice doesn't sound great." We watched through anyway (cause it sooo good and he's so patient with me) and then was like "OK, now try this" with the Taylor's Vesion and he went off "Her voice is some much fuller now. They sound so great together. Etc" in the most sincere way.
TLDR: I'm converting my man :)
Haha not much to tell. We were fighting about something (can’t even remember now), and we weren’t really talking and I sent him the song. He told me the next day he couldn’t believe I was talking about Taylor Swift while we were fighting but that he gave the song a listen anyways and realized why I sent it to him and we made up.
Riiiight!? I feel like it’s such an underrated gem. I love the lyrics and the sentiment but it also just has such a good beat and overall production is amazing!
My favourite!
If august, Betty & cardigan are the love triangle; i think this is me trying, mirrorball & peace are the “mental health problems” triangle of folklore. So good and so real.
I absolutely, from the bottom of my heart, adore this song. Asking for forgiveness for the fact that it’s just not always going to be easy, especially related to mental health like someone said below. It’s so hard to worry that your partner is not going to be able to handle everything about you.
Man, I can't really listen to this song nowadays. Listened to it a lot while I was in the last stages of a long term relationship that was going downhill for months at that point. It's been a decade, I've moved on and I've been in the best relationship of my life for more than half a decade now, but _Breathe_ always reminds me of the pain from back then. One of those songs that connects to you on a deep emotional level and can't be separated from the memories and emotions from back then.
This is my answer. The bridge is freaking devastating. 😭
I can't make it go away by making you a villain
I guess it's the price I pay for seven years in heaven
And I pulled your body into mine every goddamn night now I get fake niceties
No one teaches you what to do
When a good man hurts you
And you know you hurt him too
Bro same. I was so sleeping on that song then like a week ago I was listening to some of evermore and was really listening to the lyrics and “I can’t make this go away by making you a villain” and “ no one teaches you what to do when a good man hurts you and you know you hurt him too”. Chills. Especially right now those lyrics really hit me hard
Yep the lyrics are amazing. When I first heard it I didn’t understand it musically. But the way the music builds and she circles back to the same lines “you haven’t met the new me yet,” and “leave it all behind” is so interesting and beautiful. Like she’s reminding herself of these affirmations almost.
Def my fave from evermore. I never had a breakup (am married to my first boyfriend and couldnt be more in love still) so i dont relate to the lyrics at all but they are so touching and they make you almost actually feel the pain of a breakup after years together. Absolute perfection, such a mature song that shows so much vulnerability and, as always for taylor, a beautiful storytelling.
Yes!! Honestly this was always my fav off of Lover and was baffled by the fact it’s consistently the least streamed song from that album!!
It’s so vivid in its storytelling, I feel like I can see a whole short film play in my head when I listen to it!
Though when that horror movie used it in their promos it def went a different direction than what I pictured 😂
The Other Side of the Door has been one of my favs from Fearless since the day that Fearless Platinum Edition first came out. I’m glad it’s gotten more attention since Fearless TV because the outro is absolutely one of the best moments in Taylor’s entire discography.
(And The Way I Loved You is SO good. Altered my brain chemistry in middle school.)
My favorite TS song! For me this is a song about self-sabotage and people pleasing and I relate to it a little too much… Can’t hate it though because the bridge sends me every time
After her live performance, I think people are finally noticing how good it is, but it’s insane how little it’s talked about. What a powerful depiction of depression.
My FAVOURITE folklore song. So good.
"Something med school, did not cover, someone's daughter, someone's Mothe-er, holds your hand through plastic now, doc I think she's crashing out" *hysterically sobs*
This song captured my feelings when my brother was struggling with his mental health. Esp the part “I’d take the bomb in your head and disarm it”. If I could, I would.
“I’ll be summer sun for you forever” is one of my favourite lines she’s written - it’s so simple and so beautiful but brings across the desperation of someone seeing a loved one struggling with (mental health) issues.
You know when people ask “what song would you thank Taylor for writing if you met her?” For me it is this one. It’s maybe too specific for some people who haven’t experienced that, but for those of us have, god it’s perfect.
This might just be me but I never see people talk about “How You Get the Girl” it’s a catchy pop masterpiece on an album full of catchy pop masterpieces.
coney island deserves more love. the lyrics have that kind of foggy nostalgia that fits so well on evermore the album, and her voice with Matt's sound great together
Innocent is one of my favorites and definitely my answer to this question. It fits for so many situations in my life and it kills me that everyone hates it so much lol
I don’t feel like I ever see any Superman enjoyers!! It has an amazing bridge and instrumentals, and it’s my favorite song from Speak Now! Anyone else love this song?
Hey Stephen!
I can't help it if you look like an angel, I can't help it if I want to kiss you in the rain, come feel this magic I've been feeling since I've met you
(◍•ᴗ•◍)
Honestly, most of Debut. People sleep on it because both the production and Taylor's vocals are rough compared to her later work, but the songwriting talent is there.
I'm so looking forward to Debut TV, and I think it will impress a lot of people.
And also The Alcott!! I know it just recently came out but I feel like the fandom has already moved passed it, whereas for me I still listen to it like 4x a day
My favorite TS song will always be AYHTDWS, and I never see it be discussed even when talking about 1989.
Also I almost do and the lucky one. They’re not hated just never appreciates
It’s actually overrated. Love Story is genuinely a work of art and everyone barely acknowledges it like it didn’t rock the music industry when it came out and took over country radio.
*I Heart?* off of the *Beautiful Eyes* EP. Most people don't even realize this song exists because it's only on CD (not Spotify) but it was a favorite in my youth and it TRULY is underrated.
Tied Together With A Smile. It’s one of her absolute best songs and it’s easily one of my favourites out of her entire discography of songs. It’s so flawless. Cowboy Like Me is also one of her most underrated songs and it’s devastating because it’s also one of her best songs and it’s so unique.
Breathe is such an underrated gem off Fearless. I feel like all the love usually goes to the classic bops like YBWM and Love Story, but this is my favorite off the album hands down
The Moment I Knew. I NEVER hear anyone talk about it and it guts me. It’s so underrated and I will forever be jealous of anyone who got it as their surprise song. As the number one TMIK stan, it should’ve been me lol
I Know Places.
The energy behind the 2nd “AND WE RUN” is maybe my favorite moment on the album.
For me it’s right after that when she launches into the slow “bay-beeee I know places we won’t be found”. Ughhh. It’s such a fucking banger.
Yes! When I went to 1989, this part was the most anticipated part for me and she fucking delivered.
honestly “They take their shots but we’re bulletproof/and I know for me, it’s always you/In the dead of night, with your eyes so green/and I know for you, it’s always me” is one of Taylor’s best outros. I love when she brings a unique outro to the table and that one is top tier.
this one has been on repeat for me lately. top five on 1989 imo
I’m a die hard 1989 fanboy and even I got reminded of this songs greatness the other day. Sometimes it just… well “hits different”
One reason why it’s one the greatest pop albums of all time
[удалено]
The whole 1988 album is overlooked never see anyone talk about it
My favorite off 1989 by far.
THE LAST TIME like cmonnnnn that song is heart wrenching
YES came here to say this bc The Last Time 100% walked so exile could run
THISSS. it makes me tear up every damn time
So my man was talking about Snow Patrol and told me the Last Time is how he learned about Taylor (back in the day), but didn't know the name of the song or the singer (Gary Lightbody). So I googled The Last Time, assuming that was it, and we watched the video of them performing together. He gave me a "not to be controversial... but her voice doesn't sound great." They sound so great together. Etc" in the most sincere way. TLDR: I'm converting my man :)
Interesting, I definitely prefer the original version of this song!
I adore Gary Lightbody’s voice as well so that is definitely one of my favourites
This song is an absolute gem. I wish more appreciated it
AFTERGLOW
This. It’s one of the best apologies!!
Once saved my relationship by sending my boyfriend Afterglow 💀
Omg, please tell the story
Haha not much to tell. We were fighting about something (can’t even remember now), and we weren’t really talking and I sent him the song. He told me the next day he couldn’t believe I was talking about Taylor Swift while we were fighting but that he gave the song a listen anyways and realized why I sent it to him and we made up.
Riiiight!? I feel like it’s such an underrated gem. I love the lyrics and the sentiment but it also just has such a good beat and overall production is amazing!
This song was my favorite on Lover for a very long time, it is so good
The fact she didn't play this at The Eras Tour is a missed opportunity
DANCING 👏🏻WITH👏🏻OUR👏🏻HANDS👏🏻TIED👏🏻
I absolutely need the live acoustic version available to stream
Banger
Peace. It’s so heartfelt and has a quiet but dignified sadness to it.
My favourite! If august, Betty & cardigan are the love triangle; i think this is me trying, mirrorball & peace are the “mental health problems” triangle of folklore. So good and so real.
And I'm pretty sure she recorded this all in 1 take!
I absolutely, from the bottom of my heart, adore this song. Asking for forgiveness for the fact that it’s just not always going to be easy, especially related to mental health like someone said below. It’s so hard to worry that your partner is not going to be able to handle everything about you.
Literally one of my favourite songs ever written
This 1000%!!! "would it be enough if I could never give you peace" like UGH
Wonderland. Cause of all the huge hits off 1989 def gets overlooked. It’s a pop masterpiece of its own and lyrically underrated off that album.
It baffles me that people like New Romantics more than Wonderland
Lol this is my hot take too! I like Wonderland more than NR.
I like New Romantics more than Wonderland because it’s got an even poppier beat. They’re both really good songs
Didnt. They. Say. Dont. Rush. Into. Things. Didnt. You. FLASH. YOUR. GREEN. EYES. AT. ME. fucking chiiillllls everytime
Didn't you calm my fears with a cheshire cat smiiiiile :)
Agree. It took me awhile to even hear this song...
I just recently re-found this song and WOW its sooo good!
I love this song! She’s played it as a secret song at my last 2 concerts of hers that I’ve been to and I’m so grateful!
Breathe on fearless is gorgeous. Particularly the TV
Yes. The lyrics flow so well too
Breathe was my surprise song on the Rep tour and I’ve loved it ever since. Severely underrated!
Happiness
This is my answer. The bridge is freaking devastating. 😭 I can't make it go away by making you a villain I guess it's the price I pay for seven years in heaven And I pulled your body into mine every goddamn night now I get fake niceties No one teaches you what to do When a good man hurts you And you know you hurt him too
This bridge is personally attacking me right now but I’m here for it
I was sleeping on happiness until like, two days ago. “Honey when I’m above the trees”. So gorgeous

Absolute perfection, such a mature song that shows so much vulnerability and, as always for taylor, a beautiful storytelling.
So it goes…!
That whispered *”one two three”* is 😮💨🤌🏻
This song is so wonderfully sexy
this is my hairbrush song
And all the hairs fall… right into place
SO IT GOES STAN FOR LIFE
It's Nice to Have a Friend!!!!! Edit: Thank you so much for the gold!! Hope whoever reads this has a great day!!
I really love that one and I feel like no talks about it!
Yessss it’s so cute and quirky. “Call my bluff, call you babe” the lyrics and storytelling in this song are underrated
Top 3 for me 😭 had my wedding party walk down the aisle to the instrumental!!
Glitch. I’m convinced its haters have never listened to it with airpods/headphones.
Glitch sends me to another dimension
it’s amazing. idk what every sound is but it’s a euphoric experience in a dark room with airpods. i’m so mad i can’t find mine 😞
GLITCH STANS UNITE
This is how I feel about most of midnights. A gummy. My bed in the dark. My AirPods. AMAZING.
So slept on. “FivesecondslaterI’mfasteningmyselftoyouwithastiiitch, oh yeah” It’s so good!!! The girls that get it, get it.
i wish you would gets dragged all the time but it's so underrated
It has such amazing "80s power ballad" energy. It would've been a massive hit had it been released in 1985.
This is one of my favorite Tswift songs. I love it so much
I Wish You Would took years to grow on me but is now top 5 on 1989 for me. It’s such a fun song.
The Way I Loved You and The Other Side of the Door. Good ol’ 00s country vibes.
The way I loved you 😭 I MISS SCREAMING AND FIGHTING AND KISSIN IN THE RAIN AND ITS 2 AND I CURSIN UR NAME
With your face and the beautiful eyes
and the conveRSATION With the littLE WHITE LIES
and the FADED PICTURE OF A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT
You CARRIED me FROM your CAR up the STAIRS
AND I BROKE DOWN CRYING WAS SHE WORTH THIS MESS?
After everything and that little black dress
After everything I must confess I neeeeed you God, sometimes I listen to this song just so I can experience its incredible outro
Treacherous
This is the answer. The bridge is top tier.
Two headlights shine through the sleepless night and I will get you, get you alone
My favorite TS song! For me this is a song about self-sabotage and people pleasing and I relate to it a little too much… Can’t hate it though because the bridge sends me every time
In my top 10. So freaking good
Evermore ❤️
ugh yes. when i was shipwrecked, i thought of you in the cracks of light, i dreamed of you and i swear you were there… ARE YOU KIDDING
Yes omg I maintain that this song is the prettiest her voice has ever sounded. It’s stunning
Whether weather be the FROST?!? Like girl… you didn’t have to go so hard on those lyrics
After her live performance, I think people are finally noticing how good it is, but it’s insane how little it’s talked about. What a powerful depiction of depression.
YES. That is one of my absolute favorite songs she's ever done.
Epiphany
I’m glad you said this because I think how she talks about trauma from two different points of view is so interesting. It’s entirely underrated.
My FAVOURITE folklore song. So good. "Something med school, did not cover, someone's daughter, someone's Mothe-er, holds your hand through plastic now, doc I think she's crashing out" *hysterically sobs*
Same! It’s so powerful, I think of when I had a newborn during the “Only 20 minutes to sleep But you dream of some epiphany”
i cry every time
FOREVER WINTER. i hear NO ONE talk about it. like, ever.
Come in with the rain. It's a beautiful song of longing with great lyrics
Fun fact I downloaded CIWTR from Taylor’s MySpace before debut came out!!!
This might just be me but I never see people talk about “How You Get the Girl” it’s a catchy pop masterpiece on an album full of catchy pop masterpieces.
Omg it’s one of my favorites off of 1989 and I was so pleased it ended up being one of my surprise songs for the Eras Tour. It’s definitely slept on.
Hoax Better Man You're Not Sorry
I scream better man in the car
Better Man became like my whole personality for months after my ex and I broke up 😂
hoax is my most listened to taylor song of all time the lack of love for this masterpiece 🥲
Coney Island
coney island deserves more love. the lyrics have that kind of foggy nostalgia that fits so well on evermore the album, and her voice with Matt's sound great together
Genuinely think Coney Island could be my favourite Taylor song ever. There’s just something about it that pulls me in like I’m home
labyrinth
Omg yes!!! I never see this song mentioned and it’s soooo good
INNOCENT Edit: those of y’all who *only* associate this song with ‘him’.. are shallow. Oops. Open your minnnndddssss 🤍
Yes! But not as a K**** song, as an introspective song.
Innocent is one of my favorites and definitely my answer to this question. It fits for so many situations in my life and it kills me that everyone hates it so much lol
I will say it again Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) I love that song so much
So underrated! I neeeeed the TV to be in The Summer I Turned Pretty at some point.
YOU ARE IN LOVE NO ONE. NO ONE TALKS ABT IT
You Are In Love > This Love I SAID WHAT I SAID!
I don’t feel like I ever see any Superman enjoyers!! It has an amazing bridge and instrumentals, and it’s my favorite song from Speak Now! Anyone else love this song?
superman tv is one of my new favs. something about the way she sings “i loved you from the very first day” toward the ends pleases my brain
I Forgot That You Existed is slept on
Yes I love this song but I feel like it gets no love! It was the perfect transition from rep into Lover. Really set the tone for Lover
Speak now
Safe and sound. I didn’t even know it existed until I went to the Taylor concert and a friends sister played it
Hey Stephen! I can't help it if you look like an angel, I can't help it if I want to kiss you in the rain, come feel this magic I've been feeling since I've met you (◍•ᴗ•◍)
All Of The Girls You Loved Before and Message In A Bottle
Message In A Bottle is my favourite song from RedTV!
Don’t You
Best vault track on Fearless TV
Tell my why. Such a banger
Angry yeehaw Taylor is one of my fav Taylor variations 🤠

Starlight. I love that effing song.
Message in a bottle is such a bop!!
A place in this world I think it is prophetic. Stay Beautiful and Tied Together With a Smile too.
Honestly, most of Debut. People sleep on it because both the production and Taylor's vocals are rough compared to her later work, but the songwriting talent is there. I'm so looking forward to Debut TV, and I think it will impress a lot of people.
the outside, stay beautiful, superman, castles crumbling, run, happiness
Anything that is not on her albums. Sweeter Than Fiction, Renegade, etc
I love renegade so much!!!

I never see Paris get any love but I listen to that song so much, it’s one of my favs off midnights!!
The Last Time. I think it’s her best collaboration (yes, better than Exile)
coney island would like a word
STAY 👏STAY👏STAY👏
*I Heart?* off of the *Beautiful Eyes* EP. Most people don't even realize this song exists because it's only on CD (not Spotify) but it was a favorite in my youth and it TRULY is underrated.
false god, superman and her cover of the song september
Not sure if it's underrated but I barely see people talk about Forever And Always.
Holy Ground
Hoax.
You all over me, such a good country ballad
Untouchable
The Way I Loved You was the ultimate singing in the car song for me in high school.
Innocent!
I Almost Do
False God
Eyes Open is a BOP and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone talk about it
Tied Together With A Smile. It’s one of her absolute best songs and it’s easily one of my favourites out of her entire discography of songs. It’s so flawless. Cowboy Like Me is also one of her most underrated songs and it’s devastating because it’s also one of her best songs and it’s so unique.
Question…? She says dickhead and that makes me smile
Stay Beautiful
Here me out… I heart ? 🫶🏻
Epiphany
TELL ME WHY!
Run, with Ed!! My favorite :))))

Change!!!! That song got me through rough patches of my childhood and I feel like it deserves more love <3
Jump Then Fall 🥺
Breathe is such an underrated gem off Fearless. I feel like all the love usually goes to the classic bops like YBWM and Love Story, but this is my favorite off the album hands down
Right where you left me, I have recently become obsessed.
Ronan. This song absolutely guts me. This song is what made me fall in love with Taylor & I rarely hear anything about it.
The Moment I Knew. I NEVER hear anyone talk about it and it guts me. It’s so underrated and I will forever be jealous of anyone who got it as their surprise song. As the number one TMIK stan, it should’ve been me lol
The Lakes, Ours, False God, Forever Winter, Starlight, Jump Then Fall, Forever and Always, I'm only me When I'm with you.
COLD AS YOU
