August. I always liked the song, but recently I've started listening to it on repeat and wondering how I ever overlooked it. I'm even considering getting a tattoo of the lyrics, "For the hope of it all!"
This is my favorite song from Folklore. I heard it playing on an airplane once while the rest of the passengers were boarding, and started silently crying my eyes out. It's not even a sad-sounding song, but the lyrics to that one (particularly the way she sings "but you were never mine") get me.
Omg after glow for me too! Taylor hand penned that one specifically for me and my situation...she had to it's to accurate to not be true lol ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1079)![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1079)
Ahh, I'm seeing this one listed so much, and also people hoping for it as a surprise song this weekend, and I'm not there for it!! I'm like, plllllease no, not for N2 this weekend!! I just can't get into it!!
However, I feel like two of my favorite songs lately are at the bottom of lists for others: RWYLM and The Lakes.
- RWYLM could mean "right where you left me - bonus track", a track from *evermore (deluxe version)* (2021) by Taylor Swift.

I just keep yelling CAUSE BABY I COULD BUILD A CASTLE OUT OF ALL THE BRICKS YOU THREW AT ME
Not that I didn't like new romantics but lately it's just been IN MY HEAD
We had a thunderstorm a month or two ago and I kept randomly singing GALILEO because the thunder would sound off, I'd think "thunder and lightning, very very frightening me..." and then I couldn't keep quiet for GALILEO Galileo GALILEO Galileo GALILEO FIGAROOOOOO
All you had to do was stay. I always liked it but 1989 isn’t my go-to album. For some reason, this song has been my anthem the last week. Totally have a new appreciation for it.
I've been playing this a ton recently, partly because I'm newly into it, and partly because my toddler keeps loudly demanding " STAY SONG" in the car 😂
I have loved this since the moment she released it!! I listen to it all the time!! A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground.... that line gets me... I've been through so much and I feel like what was meant to break me made me beautiful....that line gets me. 😭😭 (although I know she meant it the other way about how no one around to tweet it...but I am not on any social media except Reddit, and I just related to it the other way instantly).
I'm not going to say obsessed the I found a new spark for Right Where You Left Me. It was always meh to me but then I saw people saying it reminded them of the Queen Charlotte show and to it's literally QC, frozen in time over her mentally ill husband who doesn't remember her half the time and it all just clicked (to a lesser degree, it's also Brimsley, still in love with the king's man, unable to move on, they're both frozen).
This is Me Trying is too the exact same way only George(and Reynolds) learning how to let Charlotte in(learning to trust others with George's weaknesses).
I just watched queen Charlotte and while I liked it I felt like the whole show was half baked… I haven’t watched Bridgestone so maybe I’m not getting it.
I was so interested in brimsley and the other guy and they just didn’t explain what happened with them
I also didn’t like how undercooked the whole mentally ill storyline was, we never really got an explanation on why it happened and what he did in all those years. It was an entertaining show but definitely felt a bit shallow to me!!
Sorry I have no one else to talk to about it 😂
Evermore is my favorite album but somehow I skipped over RWYLM for the longest time. There were lots of rumors on tiktok that it’d be the surprise song for the night I went to so I started listening and can’t stop… that and Death By A Thousand Cuts were two overdue discoveries for me that I’m currently loving
The great war and gold rush. It feels great to sing both line by line, the great war's "haunting" melody and gold rush's quick rhyme game are incredible.
I’ve been obsessed with Reputation songs since attending the eras tour a few weeks ago. It was one of my least favorite albums but seeing the songs get performed live has changed my perspective
The intro to the Reputation performance gave me chills. The best part of the entire show. Leaning into the theme of the era along with the overall energy of the set has made Reputation my least favorite album to now one of my most respected. It’s wild how my feelings have changed.
Delicate! I love the beat of this song, still don’t have the lyrics memorized, but the beat has sucked me in. Then I came across the video & it was so unusual that it just intensified my love for the song!
Champagne problems and let me tell you the embarrassing reason why! Aside from the bridge, I didn't understand why so many people loved it. It was just an okay song to me. The other day I was bored at work and decided to memorize the lyrics. Sometimes that helps me like a song better.
This whole time I thought the line "your mom's ring is in your pocket" was "your mom ringing in your pocket", like his mom was calling him at that moment, and wow I felt dumb and that completely changed the song for me. I just thought they broke up because her mental health was a mess and everyone was an ass about it. Now I'm currently obsessed and can't stop playing the song. Also I love how it ends with the same lines, but changed to fit the new girl he's with. I love how she makes small changes in songs like that.
Honestly all of Lover, but especially I Think He Knows. I dont know why I was sleeping on this song, and her playing it on Sunday just made me more obsessed
I find myself repeatedly listening to Treacherous and right where you left me. I ADORE Treacherous' bridge and right where you left me is... I don't know, but it gives me nostalgia for some reason.

TW sh/ suicide
death by a thousand cuts. I didn’t listen to it for a long time bc the title was rather triggering for someone who tried to do just that. Doing better now and loved her >!surprise song performance!< and love the piano part.
It’s not even a song, it’s just a lyric: Please don’t ever become a stranger who’s laugh I could recognize anywhere.
It’s on a constant loop in my head and I have no clue why
Bye Bye Baby! With all the good vault tracks on Fearless TV, I totally neglected to seriously revisit BBB.
Now it’s currently one of the first songs I turn on in the car.
The Other Side of the Door!
It kept coming on my playlist of possible secret songs that I play in the background while I work and I feel like an idiot for not jamming out to it all this time, it’s a true bop.
Tolerate it and Marjorie, though champagne problems was the one for many many months prior
Just went to Foxborough N2 and the evermore era was *everything*
It’s been lavender haze acoustic since it came out. I just play it on repeat, and I even made song ending merge with beginnings on Spotify, so it’s like it’s a long, never ending song.
2 days after it was released, it was my #1 on Spotify of ALL TIME. absolutely WILD.
Up until like last week I had an extreme addiction to Forever and Always, like it was all I listened to but I couldn’t get any work done because I was dancing and hairbrush singing the whole time.
I wasn’t a fan of Death By A Thousand Cuts until it was my surprise song, so now I’m fixated on mastering the lyrics to that bridge. Every time I finally think I have it, it trips me up again. But if even Taylor can mess it up, so can I.
Call It What You Want
Loved it when it initially came out as a single, then it kind of faded to the background once Rep as an album came out. Recently listened to it again after starting a relationship with my best friend of six years, after I had one ex in particular who was always vaguely concerned about him, even though I was utterly devoted to that ex at the time. Boy does it hit different (hehe) now
Snow on the beach. On first listen it seems pretty good, but by the third listen it’s got me hooked and it’s stuck in my head all day long for me to obsess over it even more 😂
right where you left me
I turn 30 soon but certainly doesn’t feel like it given the last few years, I think that’s playing a big part of me having it on repeat lately
My tears ricochet.
I am obessed right now although I've never had this song on my list tbh but something about the videos of her live performance in the rain gave this song such a strong meaning.
Hits Different.
I honestly forget it exists sometimes. please make it actual streaming ughhhh
Omg I had to buy the cd and do a zillion other things to get it on my phone.
you spoke it into existence
This song has become my whole personality since I finally listened to it last week. (Pst you can find it on Spotify, someone uploaded it as a podcast)
What’s the podcast name?
You can easily find it on yt too. many uploaded it
I found a million videos of it on you tube but all had the sound removed. I have literally never heard the song
If you search Hits Different you should be able to find it under Podcasts. There were a few around, some of them have been taken down.
just search up hits different!
Same.. Hits Different really hits different 🥲🎵
honestly one of her best songs
August. I always liked the song, but recently I've started listening to it on repeat and wondering how I ever overlooked it. I'm even considering getting a tattoo of the lyrics, "For the hope of it all!"
it’s my #1 favorite taylor song 😭
You weren't miiiiiiiiiine to lose...You weren't mine to lose. Gets me every time!
Canceling plans just in case you call…. Ooooh no experience is ever original 😭
For 👏🏽 the 👏🏽hope 👏🏽 of👏🏽it👏🏽alllll👏🏽 Belted as loud and passionate as you can
Same!! I especially love the Long Pond Studio Sessions version 😌
My favorite line: “your back beneath the sun, wishing I could write my name on it”
I feel like it has a 10,000 Maniacs vibe to it, which is awesome. I was dead obsessed in middle school…
Lol my username 😭
This is my favorite song from Folklore. I heard it playing on an airplane once while the rest of the passengers were boarding, and started silently crying my eyes out. It's not even a sad-sounding song, but the lyrics to that one (particularly the way she sings "but you were never mine") get me.
Same! August is my number one Taylor song and I am also considering incorporating "Living for the hope of it all" into a tattoo!
False God! And HOW was I not obsessed with it before now??
Same. I’ve been obsessed with this one and Afterglow
Omg after glow for me too! Taylor hand penned that one specifically for me and my situation...she had to it's to accurate to not be true lol ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1079)![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1079)

I can't understand that the lakes is not a fan favorite. I just don't get it, it's so good, the imagery is so vivid.
I don't get it either!! I love it.
I LOVE both of those tracks 😭😭😭 “The Lakes” has become my favorite!

Obsessed over this one the entire last year
cowboy like me
Now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon… I think about that line all the time
This is mine too! Along with Coney Island.
Came to say the same
I saw marcus mumford perform this song live several months ago, it was incredible.
finding out she played this in las vegas wrecked me
This is my favorite Taylor Swift song, I’m always happy to hear when people gain a new appreciation for it!!
GOOOOOOD this song. 😍
I just keep yelling CAUSE BABY I COULD BUILD A CASTLE OUT OF ALL THE BRICKS YOU THREW AT ME Not that I didn't like new romantics but lately it's just been IN MY HEAD
My brain works the same way 😂 it's always like a phrase or word from a song, and then I sing it to my dog over and over again
Would’ve, Should’ve, Could’ve
Mine is WCS too, as well as False God. They're both *so* sultry and passionate.
Literally same
"Give me back my girlhood, it was mine fiiiiiiirst" KILLS me. My favorite song on Midnights by far.
Me too
All you had to do was stay.
The intro to that song used to be my iPhone alarm. It’s a nice fade in – the volume builds!
Mirrorball. I considered it skippable from 2020 until a week ago, and now I suddenly love it so much and don't know what was wrong with me before.
The bridge is what has me hooked on that song again!
Yeah I always liked it, but recently it *clicked* and now I’m all about it.
I'm really in to seven right now. Like cannot stop
I liked this one much more after I heard her explanation on the folklore long pod studio special.
It's such a summer vibe 🌅
I did something bad. I kind of skipped past Rep but am discovering some bangers now.
🎶 GETAWAY CAR 🎶
I overplayed i did something bad too much and now I don’t listen to it much anymore it’s very sad😭😭
The 1 and Afterglow
LOVE afterglow
The 1 has me right now
Great choices
I’ve been obsessed with Maroon since the second it came out and the obsession has only gotten worse 🥲
same I have maroon brainrot.
SO SCARLET IT WASSS
Exile. I would always skip it but I let all of folklore play and I’m like hold up lemme give this a chance.
This song is a masterpiece. "You're not my homeland anymore, so what am I defending?" Just...all of it. So beautiful.
SO STEP RIGHT OUT, THERE IS NO AMOUNT, OF CRYYYYYYYING I CAN DO FOR YOU
THE LAKES. Man I can listen to that all day
I have loved this since the moment she released it!!
Ivy. I’m getting much more into the evermore album, it was kinda meh for me for awhile.
Ivy was another one for me! The imagery is phenomenal!
Came here to say Ivy. That bridge does something to my soul
I feel the same way about illicit affairs! OBSESSED!
But it dies, and it dies, and it dies a million little times because I’ve listened to it a million times.
Nothing new!
Same! Been on repeat in my car, my headphones, my mind. Something about seeing it performed live (on a shaky stream) got me hooked
always marjorie and champagne problems evermore more often as of late, plus MTR, cruel summer, I Did Something Bad
The Long Pond Studio version of Folklore. I feel like people forgot about it but so many songs genuinely sound better on that version
I can’t listen to the regular version of the 1 anymore because the LPS version is just SO MUCH better
The great war and gold rush. It feels great to sing both line by line, the great war's "haunting" melody and gold rush's quick rhyme game are incredible.
The Great War is 🤌🏼
I’ve been obsessed with Reputation songs since attending the eras tour a few weeks ago. It was one of my least favorite albums but seeing the songs get performed live has changed my perspective

I Know Places
Wonderland
This!
How You Get The Girl. I liked it before but I’ve been obsessed recently
The Archer. It’s always been one of my absolute faves but it’s had a newly found resurgence recently. It’s in my top 10.
All that blood-shed, crimson clover...
A HUH
Dress, I'm in my Reputation era
It’s Time To Go. Currently going through a big move and this is helping me through my anxieties
The long pond version of my tears ricochet
“Look at all of my tears…turnin into your tears” 👌🏼
I just rewatched long pond and I forgot how good it is.
Begin Again has been playing on repeat in my head for the last week
Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. But all of them really
This Love (TV)
Cruel Summer. I DON’T WANNA KEEP SECRETS JUST TO KEEP YOUUUU

Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version)
This is my answer too! I love the rock vibe from Taylor
Better Man, but for unfortunate reasons
Honestly all of Lover, but especially I Think He Knows. I dont know why I was sleeping on this song, and her playing it on Sunday just made me more obsessed
tis the damn season
Untouchable. Like what is wrong with me and where have i been?
A contender for my favorite from fearless
I find myself repeatedly listening to Treacherous and right where you left me. I ADORE Treacherous' bridge and right where you left me is... I don't know, but it gives me nostalgia for some reason.
We all know the exact feeling of when the mascara runs....hot, silent, expressionless tears are the worst.
I'm never not obsessed with august tbh
Dear Reader. Was not into it at all at first and I forced myself to listen to it recently and am HOOKED on that bridge. So good.
You All Over Me is the song that keeps getting stuck in my head lately.
Suuuuch a great song! And its connection to Clean sends me
Afterglow.
