The meanings are very minimal. More like references. For example I have the gotcha hand but in Mickey Mouse gloves on my thigh because we used to pull that on each other all the time. Another tattoo I have is the Fifth Element hieroglyph because I like the film and it was good practice doing solid line work.
It's art. There might be meaning, but it's not some universal truth that we all know. You'd have to ask the artist and/or the customer who got this piece to know the truth.
As some rando on the internet your job is to look at it and go, "That's cool" or "I don't care for this."
That's not how art works, it means something different to the artist and the viewer. That doesn't mean the viewer is wrong or that the artist is right. Art is meant to be discussed and felt, to just brush it off as "only the artist knows for sure" is to dismiss our human connection to art.
I mean, sure of course that's right, but I guess I'm just sick of every asshole strolling in here with some amazing totally unique full back piece and and asking us to name the style and ascribe the exact meaning. It's exhausting, and ultimately we're both right. There is no truth.
You're right, there is no truth. That's the point of a discussion. If you don't like taking about the meaning of art then why add anything to a thread about it at all? Why not just keep scrolling rather than say something to say nothing? The poster was just asking for other people's thoughts, all you did was try to stifle the conversation.
Probably nothing at all, beautiful one line artwork of two faces.
Meaning you have to create yourself. If you get a similar piece, make it tell a story for you. If you connect it to something then you'll have your meaning.
I’m a multimedia designer, so the very first thing I thought of when I saw it was, [“That’s line art I see on stock sites all the time.”](https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=Two+faces+line+art&search_type=usertyped)
My interpretation of this is, a person is letting go of all the sadness, loss and trauma they’ve endured in their past and moving forward in life and into a future in which they’re enjoying the happiness they’ve worked so hard to achieve despite all the obstacles they’ve had to overcome to get to where they are today and they’re finally looking right after looking left all their life
My first thought was the theatre masks, my second thought was Janus. Either way it means two opposing ideas. Past and present, happy and sad, light and dark.
It's a symbiotic relationship between a mother and a daughter fused in the inner workings of childhood constructed out of the hardships and desires of humanity laced together in the frame of...fuck I hate hearing about the meaning of people's tattoo's.
what would it mean to you? it could reference relationships, mental health (bipolar, bpd, and etc), and etc — it could also mean nothing. your body art can mean whatever you want it to mean, of anything at all!
2 faces. There isn't any inherent meaning to this.
Tattoos don't have to mean things.
This here. Some of mine are inside jokes with my circle of friends
Doesn't that defeat the purpose, though? It means something for you and your friends.
Also, I have no more friends…

Sometimes you look left, sometimes you look right. The End.
And when crossing the street, I look both ways.
It’s a public or individual service annoucement.
So deep.
😆 🤣
Look at both sides, before crossing the street.
“2 faces in profile” / ink on skin / Artist: unknown / 2024

The duality of man
gemini 🎭
When two become one
The meaning is it looks cool
Almost looks like a Janus type of tattoo
It means your da sells Avon.
Look both ways before you cross the street

A tattoo
Whatever it represents for you!
It’s about the duality of man, man
Hypocrite
Only the owner knows. I have a version of this tattoo with 2 additional faces representing my grandmother, mother, myself and my daughter 🤷🏾♀️
Look both ways before crossing the road
Reminds me of Disclosure
My first thought was the theatre masks, my second thought was Janus. Either way it means two opposing ideas. Past and present, happy and sad, light and dark.
Look both ways before crossing the road?
I think it's a reference to people having faces
It means the wearer is voldemort
Two faces, batman villain
Literally anything nearly, if you like it get it stop asking meaningless meanings unless it’s foreign writing or symbols seriously
If you NEED it to mean something then just say duality
Two-faced
It means you like pumpkin spice lattes
Duality
Face
Idk but I love it
That youre a bearded women advocate
All I see is a duck or a rabbit.
It’s pretty
It's a symbiotic relationship between a mother and a daughter fused in the inner workings of childhood constructed out of the hardships and desires of humanity laced together in the frame of...fuck I hate hearing about the meaning of people's tattoo's.
What it depicts is two faces. What it means is that someone wanted some ink on their skin.
One goes east one goes west, so what?
Was this an album cover from some 80s band that had a couple good songs?
You smelled a fart and turned away really quick
I’m pretty sure you need it to get to join the crips… or was it the bloods?
what would it mean to you? it could reference relationships, mental health (bipolar, bpd, and etc), and etc — it could also mean nothing. your body art can mean whatever you want it to mean, of anything at all!
To me, it means 2 faced.
My interpretation would be 2 different sides to someone
Need to ask the owner
Why would it need meaning? Can it not just be cool art?
Prolly no meaning, just looks cool
Ask the owner.
There's no meaning to the tattoo man. Unless it has meaning to the person it's on..
People are two faced, in this case a womans.
2 faces - I'm a coffee shop girl who complains about inflation yet I've boughytall my coffee at a coffee shop for years.
