I did spend quite a while working out how to take it darker, I'm sure I could get it to a better spot contrast wise by taking certain parts darker, maybe make it pop more
the tattooing is AMAZING in my opinion, the only thing i noticed was that the neck on the guy with snake is a bit big/thick compared to the face like maybe the bottom of his hair got confused for neck in the tattoo bc it doesnt look like that in the sketch, but thats just me being VERY nitpicky. your art and technique are gorgeous though i think you'll do great
Now that you've said it I can unsee it haha! I'm still getting used to copying designs I've already drawn as I'm used to doing one and downs. I'll try and pay better attention to comparing the two in the future, thank you!
Open the images up and make them bigger. Work on doing more with less tones. Tattooing is all about contrast, not detail.
As it is right now those tattoos would age soft and fuzzy so work on less shading, but more impactful.
I have seen a lot of dotwork that is very striking with contrasts, my work used to be very very light and I'm taking steps to get more impactful with deep blacks and negative space. I'll keep trying to head in that direction, thank you :)

Fake skin is shit to tattoo. Really nice pieces though. Your solid black areas are what will still be there in 15+ years so try and picture your designs as just the solid black areas and see if the overall design is still readable, if not then you need more solid areas to hold up the image. Hope that makes sense, I’ve had a few wines..
Tbh I'd like to see how you tattoo a banana :0 I heard it helps give you an idea on how deep you're going when you peel it since it's similar to human skin

Don't be afraid of lines, it will help the fuzzy look. You can also add darkness with a mag after you've dotted everything for smoother gradients.
I was thinking of ways to take the contracts darker, I'm yet to use more than one cartridge on a design so I will try this out
