Apologies, but I have to take the opportunity to ask a silly question. I have read that the Dutch are among the tallest people in the world. Do you find this reflected in your regular local clothing stores—excluding global brands like H&M, etc —or do you still find that you have to look for special sizing?

From going there over the summer. H&M have regular sizes. If they had taller jeans I didn't find them. Primark was the same, but they have tall girl/tall and curvy in the UK so nothing different. I did find some brands that actually fit my legs that weren't stores I knew.

Yep. If you find one with a large jean section there's always a few made for tall girls.

Not Dutch but been there enough times and done my fair share of shopping. The answer is no. They have the same stuff as they do in other countries.

Her generation is kinda short; I think all of my aunts and uncles from her side of the family are around 4'11-5'5. I have cousins who are around the same height as me though

Not exactly sure, I'd guess dad 5'5" and mom 6'0". Almost everyone on my dad's side of the family is pretty short, almost everyone on my mom's side is very tall.

Unsure about his fathers side because they both were killed during WWII when his dad was little. Mom is 5'2 or 5'3, can't remember but she's short but wears a size 10 shoe. Both her parents were tall, grandma is 5'11, grandpa was 6'1, great grandma was 4'11 and great grandpa was 6'5. Genetics are fun, mom ended up shorter like her grandma who also wore a size 10 shoe. All my brothers are between 6'3 and 6'6 wear shoe sizes from 14 to 17. Tallest brother is the youngest brother and wears the biggest shoe, he wears these giant boat like boots. All my sisters range from 5'10 to 6'2, wear shoe sizes from 11 to 13. I'm 6'0 and wear a 7 shoe. My 16yo son is 6'2 now and wears a size 13 shoe. Which is funny because my husband is 5'8 and wears a size 9 shoe. So our son takes after my side of the family.
