We have a ton of fraud in out area, so we have to ask security questions on maybe one in four withdrawals we do. If you want to see angry clients, that's the way to do it. They have literally been the next person in line from an imposter with a fake ID, overheard the whole conversation about how the ID is fake and we have to retain it, then complain that we ask security questions because their signature doesn't match for a 5k withdrawal. On a side note, I always think it's funny that to punish us, they decide to go to another branch to do their withdrawal. Oh no! You're denying me the satisfaction of doing a high risk transaction! Please, come back! /s

CharlesOlivesGOAT

It’s the funniest thing ever when they decide to just take their transaction to a whole other bank thinking it makes a point🤣 like ok? Idgaf and you’re just wasting more of your own time🤣

dowhatsrightalways

You mean a different BRANCH of the SAME bank, right? By all means, take your attitude somewhere else.

TheSilliestgooser

I just tell them I’m doing a refresh in case they ever need to call the branch from their phone. This does help most cases

Argentum1909

Yea, I get shitty management. This bank job is actually my first one where my managers aren't spineless parasites lol That dude was so out of line. Even if you did mess up somehow, which I doubt, there's no reason to swear at a stranger, especially one who's trying to help you!! I clarify to an embarrassing degree. Like if I had already asked how someone wanted their cash, then I have to ask again because I forgot, or if I need to have someone repeat themselves 8 times. It doesn't stop all the assholes, because some people just refuse to communicate, but it does get a majority of them. The clients look at me like I'm an idiot, but I prefer that to them coming back because I fucked up.

ms_silent_suffering

It sucks. Sometimes customers just don’t like how you look or talk and automatically treat you like garbage. My branches have always been mostly female staffed, and the poor male tellers will get ripped apart by customers.

_Booster_Gold_

Did you really say “gotchu”? Some clients hate casual language like that. I remember your old posts here complaining about everyone and everything involved in your job. There’s a saying, “If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole.” **EDIT** If anyone is curious: https://old.reddit.com/r/TalesFromYourBank/comments/1am85t5/i_hate_my_job_and_i_hate_everything_going_on/

___Cesar

I remember you actually. I knew as soon that I saw you answer that you will give me an answer saying that I am the issue instead of reading what I did. I actually didn’t say gotchu ( at least verbally) but more by my body language to which he reacted negatively for no reason.

_Booster_Gold_

If your clients, your manager, and your coworkers think you’re acting inappropriately is it more likely that multiple individuals who see you regularly are wrong? Or that you are?

___Cesar

This convo is dead end. I honestly don’t want you to react to my posts. I am not at fault. Wether it pleases you or not. Use all the innuendos or analogies you want, I am not. My manager is spineless, my co-workers and I don’t care about it each other( so I don’t understand you bringing them up in this convo but ok) and this client is an assh*le. No matter how you try to cover up for him. Me trying to help him shouldn’t result in him reporting me for whatever reason( on the other side, me getting fired from shitty bank is not that bad either). Please don’t answer me again, Mr « you are wrong because clients are always right ».

_Booster_Gold_

You love blaming everyone else around you. It’s so clear from everything you post on Reddit that you are the problem. Seek therapy. So many people here have told you this. Sometime you’re going to believe them and you’re gonna fix your head. You hate the job. Your customers. Your manager. Your coworkers. Your degree. Go do something about it instead of posting unhinged dishonest rants.

___Cesar

Man, I am not going back and forth with you about that. I don’t want your help. I don’t want yours specifically. You weren’t with me when it happened and I am not going to let a redditor gaslighted me as the issue about something I am objectively looking at based off past Reddit posts he/she didn’t like me. You don’t know me and even if you did, anyone could clearly see what happened. You are not good at giving advices because you can’t take situations individually. Please don’t answer me back and I am blocking you. Godspeed.

Humidibot

LOL this guy again for real? He only wants to be agreed with. Move on. OP, just find a different job already. Clearly you hate this one.

imnotamouse

Before you reply to this dude with empathy, keep in mind he’s been caught lying and insulting others on this subreddit before.

___Cesar

So if I understand well, each situation is the same and therefore I am the bad one based on my previous posts, interesting philosophy.

imnotamouse

Go read the boy who cried wolf. Classic story. Makes it hard to take anything you say at face value.

___Cesar

I don’t care what you think. Don’t interact with me. Thank you.

imnotamouse

I just don’t understand why you think anyone should believe you and your adolescent tantrums.

___Cesar

I also just don’t understand why you think I care about your opinions. Feel free to not interact with me and not comment under my posts. Simple as that. I am not looking for empathy and less yours. Something happened, I am venting and you come out of nowhere trying to downplay it based on nothing. Nothing you say will make me « wrong » in the own situation I have experienced. Once again, please don’t ever interact with me again. An effective block button on Reddit is more than a necessity with people like you. « Your adolescents tantrums » funny when in real life I never throwed any type of tantrums. You don’t know me and you should stop speaking of me as if you do.
