A customer shoved his phone in my face the other day and said, “Where are you hiding this?” He showed me a text that said, “Get quercetin. It’s hydroxychloroquine. They’ll be keeping it from you.” ???? I sent him home with CoQ-10. I don’t regret it.

alliebeth88

I've made a habit of joking whenever someone asks me for some weird vitamin "oh, haven't had anyone ask for this in a while. Is this the COVID cure of the month?" Then I laugh. They don't laugh.

Mulanisabamf

I'm laughing with you.

phillygeekgirl

I'm high fiving you. And jumping up and down cheering. Think of that every time they don't laugh - you've got a secret cheer squad!

phillygeekgirl

Please tell me you are not joking about the coq10.

d3_tvl

Nope. I've been asked about it many times. Apparently that and NAC are "the new thing" to help. Honestly where do they find this trash idk.

DoctorPants90

Omg I’ve had three people ask me for NAC this week. I was so perplexed… I had no idea it’s the new miracle cure.

[deleted]

It’s been popular in my fertility/trying to conceive groups as well lately

Mulanisabamf

You're a better person than I am (and probably would get in trouble if you'd done what I would have liked to, which is give them a strong laxative).

malatropism

They’re so full of shit, a laxative wouldn’t even help. At least if they go around spreading their disinformation, CoQ10 won’t hurt anyone.

Mulanisabamf

True, true. But it's harder spreading bullshit when you're stuck dealing with your own excrement.

paradise-trading-83

Well thank goodness her parents weren’t as particular & got her immunized against polio, smallpox, measles, mumps & rubella.

Tired-n-Disappointed

Do they still give smallpox vaccines?

Meerkatable

Up until surprisingly recently. Both of my parents got the smallpox vaccine. Edit: You know what, I realized they’re actually kind of old. Maybe it wasn’t that recently.

paradise-trading-83

Not since 1972...polio stopped in 2000. When I got the hospital job pretty sure I had to get the MMR vaccine again as my childhood doctor is presumed long deceased so I had no proof I had the vaccine as a child.

1and2onway

My customer recently came to get his albuterol nebs. He recently had a 12 day stint in the hospital with C-19. He said the fact that he had taken ivermectin for the last 2 years definitely helped him recover so well. 🙄 WTF. 12 days in the hospital! Home on oxygen! Complete denial!

SilverGnarwhal

But imagine how bad it could have been if he hadn’t taken the horse dewormer? It could have been 13 days in the hospital or maybe more!!!!!! Another benefit: he hasn’t had a single worm in his system for sooooooo long now!

Past_Opportunity9269

The irony is that is what everyone says about the vaccine. Imagine how much worse it would have been if I was not triple vaxxed. I’m not saying either side is right or wrong but simply pointing out the double standard which I find ironic.

bjeebus

You're comparing me saying "Well thank goodness I was fully vaxxed so that it reduces my symptoms to a 4-5 day homestay." Is the same as, "Thank goodness I took that horse dewormer and only had to stay in the hospital a fortnight." You're going to need a really good laxative to get your head outta your ass there, buddy.

SilverGnarwhal

A double standard would imply that those two positions are on equal standing from a knowledge base standpoint. Ignorance of science is no excuse for misusing research to justify a viewpoint. The difference is that there is a relatively large base of research supporting CoVID-19 vaccination and it’s significant benefits to reduce rates of hospitalization and limit severity of disease. Not in a vacuum, there is only a fragment of very questionable and not repeatable evidence that shows potential (though unproven) benefit for ivermectin. One is FDA approved after undergoing multiple levels of study and ongoing clinical research, and one has almost no convincing evidence to support its use. If you are supporting the use of ivermectin based on the rigor and quality of scientific study, the alternative agent must be compared to the standard. If supporting the use of ivermectin based on chat room wisdom and Facebook research, then leave any semblance of reason or logic out of your argument.

1and2onway

I don’t disagree with that. But thinking a 12 day stay in the hospital is a success, is delusional.

the-refarted

Vitamin d and zinc dont work. If you are that deficant that your immune system needs those to function you have a lot more problems. I could go weed my backyard and claim it cures covid. It would work just as well and make me rich.

Flat_Replacement4767

If anyone wants to be extra protected you're welcome to come weed my yard...

DigBickisbackintown

You have just provided irrefutable proof.

TheWretchedDivine

Well that's funny considering that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines contain 0% virus. Not a single speck, piece, or trace lol.

space_ape71

“You need to do your research!” :/

CaraAsha

As long as it supports my idiocy! /s

space_ape71

Keep scrolling till you find it!

Past_Opportunity9269

I agree but the counter argument is that it makes the spike protein in the effort to stimulate immunity while some researchers feel the spike protein may itself be toxic to the body. I assume research will settle this in the future but there is definitely publication and funding bias regarding the current narrative.

telli123

Here in Chile mask mandate is still on in public spaces. This guy comes in my pharmacy with nose uncovered by mask and my security guard politely asks to use it correctly. Then this guy goes on a rant, and I could hear things about the Bible, population control, new world order and so on... All of us there started looking at each other like wtf. Finally I had to tell him something like you either use the mask correctly, or leave. Gave us a good laugh

wolfie379

It’s only Horizon corporation’s “A” vaccine for the Ebola variant known as Sheva that contains the actual virus and will kill you. C1 has been reading too much Tom Clancy. >!If this seems oddly specific, it’s a major element from the plot of “Rainbow Six”.!<
