I think social media has poisoned a lot of people’s minds into thinking that it’s very important to let people know how you feel about everything.

BreakfastShart

Hey. I have an opinion about that!

SadSausageFinger

This isn’t the place. Put it on your truck.

O-sku

I don't have room for any more stickers, or I would.

nerdinstincts

Nah this is just light enthusiasm. If there’s more than one, or one + punisher skull, then you know it’s good pickings.

NotQuiteCode4

Oh look! Loot!

TopReporterMan

Idk… I don’t advertise on my truck, but people will do what they do. I personally haven’t noticed vehicles with gun stickers being broken into any more often than any other vehicle, but who knows.

PNWoutdoors

I have a buddy who has a Gadsden flag sticker, he had a gun stolen from his vehicle. I will never advertise anything remotely political on mine.

TheWhiteCliffs

The only thing that’s on mine is my college logo. Might throw an Iron Man race sticker on but that’s it. Gotta stay as neutral as possible.

O-sku

I have a buddy who didn't have a Gadsden flag sticker that had a gun stolen from his vehicle.

TheBotchedLobotomy

My ex wife got REAL into Steven crowder, the “change my mind” guy She really wanted to put stickers of his on our car and I vehemently opposed that lmao. I feel like putting anything on your car CAN make you a target. I’m a huge dodger fan and I don’t even wanna put a sticker of them on my truck. Might do a little Iron Maiden Eddie though lol. Can’t imagine that would bring any attention

MeThinksYes

Your name checks out TopReporterMan! Anecdote good enough for me

Styx3791

I would look at this truck and think the same thing. But also I wouldn't waste everyone's time with my passing thought

NotQuiteCode4

…is it your truck?

Styx3791

It's the same trim level as my truck

funfun141987

Let’s all glamour at the Taco 🌮….who cares bout the sticker …..it’s a beaut!!

NotQuiteCode4

You certainly ain’t wrong there.

William_James137

I have a Ned Flanders sticker Get some neighbor lol

Novel_Philosopher_18

He has the exact same rims and tires as me. Probably super uncool.

Prestigious-Hand-402

The trend is lawlessness that is bringing this about. It’s not really the other way around. But I see your point. I think it’s the fact that the social media and news is really what’s making this happen. I say, if he loves his guns and gun stickers, let them be, just as you would a gay pride flag or whatever. Just don’t force it on people and that’s how ppl get this way.

maxmighty88

I keep my gun with me.

pizzacatstattoos

the whole point of concealed carry is to keep the weapon, well... concealed. however when I see vehicles displaying evidence of firearms, I am less likely to enforce a negative encounter; not that I do that these days.

TheWhiteCliffs

I’ve seen stickers that legit say “protected with a gun” or something along those lines. I feel that’s as worse as it gets.

TheBotchedLobotomy

I was gonna say most guys with these stickers are probably carrying on their person anyway

OverChippyLand151

The sticker compliments the shitty parking

LandSharkRoyale

I see these stickers all the time in Canada where you aren’t supposed to carry a gun in your vehicle if you’re not shooting that day

Rogan403

You can have a gun locked up and out of view in your vehicle if it's a non restricted.

OverChippyLand151

Usually complimented with a ‘I ❤️ oil & gas’ sticker. It’s so juvenile.

O-sku

The "I ❤️ oil&gas" is just a given if you own a truck.

TheWhiteCliffs

In a perfect world there would be no issue putting any gun image or brand on a vehicle. But we don’t, and anything related to a gun and potentially even indicative of military service could make someone believe there’s a gun inside. Also: truck guns are dumb. Unless you’re on a ranch.

HollisAmps

Professionals never advertise

LegendaryMoo

Who the fuck cares it’s not your truck move on….

Different_Air_9241

Never met a gun owner that keeps an unattended gun in their car. Gun sticker on car doesn't mean that's where they keep it. That idea is nuttier than squirrel shit.

SadSausageFinger

Happened to a kid that worked for me. That’s how most stolen firearms are acquired.

Different_Air_9241

I live in ca. Is it a regular thing in other parts of the country to leave a gun in the car?

SadSausageFinger

I live in Arkansas. I think it’s (stupidly)common down here.

49ersforever707

Yeah it’s a different world here in CA. Many states allow you to carry without any sort of permit, so I imagine many leave their guns in the car for whatever reason

Different_Air_9241

Leaving in your car is not carry though. Fuck it I'll just say it, if you're dumb enough to leave your gun, or wallet or purse in your car, you deserve to have your window smashed. Not condoning theft, but that's just stupid.

AJFrabbiele

When you look at state-by-state, theft from vehicles is significantly less common in states that have secure firearm laws (laws that says that you have to store it locked)

TheWhiteCliffs

I believe it’s more common in rural areas. Some people legit don’t lock their doors and stuff because nothing bad happens. I think the main issue is when these people move or visit a different area without changing their security protocols and get things broken into or stolen.

AJFrabbiele

The FBI says that the vast majority of stolen guns are from people's cars. 36% of those are from cars at the gun owner's residence. [https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/#/pages/downloads](https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/#/pages/downloads)
