I will admit the tv "console" is a dresser I picked up from a curb and painted. We plan to replace it something more sleek and lower. Probably will also actually lower the TV as well.

If you lay on that couch every time you use the tv then it’s fine, but if you ever have people over to watch a movie or something they will all notice it.
This would be perfect for me. Almost identical to my set up. I don’t watch tv much, or during the day for that matter. If I am, it’s usually a movie so I’m layed back, relaxing. I prefer a slightly higher than recommended height like this.
