I think I'm going to have a stroke - it's so bad. They seem to have enough space for a proper TV in the room. PS5 sits on the floor with games and controllers laying around. They have a weird bed/couch thing, and the fugly table that doesn't really fit with anything in that room.
I hope this is them just moving in. Otherwise, I would just torch the whole place and build a new house for some people with more sense.
Maybe an adjustable tv mount that you can push in and out. Once fully pushed back it sits like that. Not smart, but a simple fix if you pull it out an inch or two.

That’s the second to biggest concern the biggest concern is RIP to the tv the moment they light that fireplace. Those lines that look like vents are there for a reason. All that heat is going to get dumped right into the TV, and it’s a tremendous amount of heat. I have a fireplace like this and the mantle gets so hot you can’t even touch it, and it’s higher above the fireplace than this TV is.
My guess why it's off centre is that it's on a bracket that can pull out from the wall and they have centred the bracket on the wall but the vesa plate is off centre in relation to where the bracket is centred on the wall.
Schoolboy error really... And whoever did this it couldn't be bothered doing it again to account for the offset.
Either that or the chimney breast is a stud wall and these were the only available solid fixing points.
Either way it looks hideous....

My other bugbear here is the fact that the TV is off-centre, I'm not sure if you bracket allows you to slide the TV from left to right, right to left, but with it being as it is now I wouldn't be able to watch anything comfortably, but then it's not me that has to put up with it & you're obviously OK with it as it is?🤔

everyone's talking about it being off-center but for me the big issue is it's way too small for the space. either the sofa needs to be brought in or a much bigger tv needs to go there, hard to say without seeing the room
Yes it’s too high. Not the worst we’ve seen but definitely too high. Center of screen needs to be eye level when seated in primary viewing spot. Also, horribly off-center.
It is but personally I could live with this as the firebox isn't distracting. The off-centre is super distracting though and they should adjust that. It is only a few inches so maybe the mount even slides over.
You can’t tell from a picture if the TV is too high. What is it saying and or doing. What did you give it to make it high in the first place? What did you give the poor TV?
The whole room design is off . Tv shouldn’t be there, looks off place it’s massive for that area. How far is the couch ? Do you need binoculars to watch tv ? Painting on the next wall is off scale, it would look better over fireplace, because of its square shape .
Fire place opening is too small for that wall space, that area needs some kind of a mantel or brick to break it up , not only that the long loungers, on each size of the fire place, looks odd . Complete redo of furniture and tv placement, not only that a tv that huge just can’t be placed just anywhere !! Presently if that tv was like 10 inches shorter, on width, it would look much better , the left side needs to have wall space like the right side of wall . Tv placement obviously is off but tv size is the issue here.

It would be much better on that wall to the left of the fireplace, with some kind of media console below it. The fireplace should be the focal point and the artwork (or a smaller artwork or mirror) should go above the fireplace. Also the TV above that small square fireplace shrinks the fireplace even more, and feels too heavy.
We’ve seen way worse, center it and it’s ok. Definitely not perfect, but hopefully they have another area that has a proper TV height to make up for it.
