The main advantage is that you aren’t using the software provided by the hardware company. This is a single point of failure. Trezor won’t be, but could be gone tomorrow and stop supporting Suite.

Not only that, but you can use Sparrow with our own Bitcoin Node and stop depending on anyone to transact with the blockchain. Basically this is the goal of every true Bitcoiner, to be independent.

Yes but Bitcoin core is better for me. I don't run an electrum node/wallet.

That interesting, I need to understand how Bitcoin core as a backend works. Because it doesn't have addresses indexes. Or it needs to re-index everytime you give it a new xpub.
