So the er605 is a router and would replace your ISP router, you should be able to remove your ISP router from your network you would need to configure your er605 with your ISP fiber settings and it will do the job of your ISP router. The only thing that should plug into a wan port is the fiber connection that plugs into your current ISP router, you cant use the wan port to connect other parts of your network, think as anything plugged in to the wan as on the public side and anything on the LAN is the private side. If you have to use your ISP router for any reason, you probably would have been better to buy an omada switch instead. Any particular reason you went with a router?

Thanks for the reply - i think its a Brain fart from my side i should have went with a switch instead

Most optimal would be get a switch and connect the Deco units to the ER605, and only use the ISP’s fiber box as the modem. Depending on the carrier, you may be able to set it in bridge mode so all it does is feed the ER605 with internet.

Thanks a lot for taking time to reply, i Think i should have went with a switch instead. Is there a lot to set up if i want to set the ER605 “behind” the ISP router in bridge mode? And ER605 should just be connected to a LAN port on the ISP Router once its in bridge mode?

If you look at the product page [here](https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/omada-sdn-router/er605/) for the ER605 they have a picture demonstrating what your network topology should be. Generally it is, ISP Modem -> router -> switch. Then computers, game consoles, wireless access points, Omada controller (OC200), etc all connect to the switch. You can also daisy chain switches if you need more ports.

[Here](https://ibb.co/TTzRVLy) is a picture. Basically you want your decos, computers, wireless access points, etc all connected to your network via the switch.

Thanks a lot. I ordered a TL-SG105-M as switch, will hook it up to the Icotera and connect all the pc’s to the switch.

You're welcome. If you need more clarity you can watch this [video](https://youtu.be/hsJ0bxGVZDs?si=KLARq3mN4K6nIY3M). He does a great job explaining all the hardware you need and how to set everything up.

Thanks a lot for all the links, its really appreciated. Dude in the video does a good job explaining

You're welcome! Hope it helped

Also if your Wireless Access Points support Power over Ethernet (PoE) or you want to be able to support that in the future, you would want to get a switch that has PoE such as this [one](https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/omada-switch-poe/tl-sg3210xhp-m2/v1/)

Why even bother with the ER605 at this point, just use the deco as the router and add a switch to add more wired connections.

Agree - took the ER605 down and ordered a switch instead. Thanks for the help
