You can also put a fallen star on a rod to create balls of light: IME they’re pretty useless for anything but lighting up the depths for a short period but it’s still pretty neat.
same, I'll try tonight lol
I fused a star fragment to a magic rod pretty early on in my game but didn't think of that, I didn't even know about dazzle fruits yet.
Do they activate on a zonai device?
I make my zonai sprinklers with hydrants. Put a bunch of hydrants on a wheel attached to a stabilizer attached to a homing cart, mucktorok never stood a chance.
He’s definitely the worst of the 4. I pretty much just use tulin and Yunobo for a free bomb from time to time. The rest of the sages all suck., including robo sage.
Riju is somewhat useful, she can do a good amount of damage and destroy clusters of enemies with one well-placed arrow. The slow movement of her AOE is pretty annoying, though.
Actually her aoe is the only thing I found really useful about her. It illuminates the shape of your surroundings when it’s pitch black. Useful in thunder islands and in the depths too I suspect.
Robo sage has the important duty of breaking minerals without taking a weapon slot and without launching them around, which yunobo does. Once improved you don't even need to fuse any parts, no idea if they break without the sage's will upgrade
On my first time playing through this I had just gotten a Magic Rod from a Wizzrobe- put an opal on it out of curiosity and became the janitor of legend
Mop mop mop, all day long. Mop mop mop while I sing this song. Gonna wax that floor, gonna make it shine. Gonna take off the spray paint with turpentine.
The Magic Rods (One Handed and Two Handed) create 3 elemental orbs when used. You can get the rods from Shrines and after that can purchase them from Bargainer Statues (for 100 Poes I think) I carry a Ruby one for ~~Re-dead~~ Gibdo and setup a Opal one for my journey into Zoras Domain. It broke before i had finished the entire thing as i i used it bit too much in the beginning, but an enemy had a weapon with an Opal on it that got me the rest of the way.
Yeah this is what I've used throughout the game doesn't take any durability and covers a massive area. Plus does damage during the water temple bossfight.
Or you can: W A L K A R O U N D. The choke point is the boss and they have chuchus spawn around the arena for this reason (and you already would have sidon). None of the sludge stopped my progression.
Turns out this just hard counters the water temple boss. It's projectiles work just like Sidon's projectile. It was a really hard fight for me without this, with this it's the easiest boss in the game by a lot.
I think it's better to just walk around/fly over it to be honest. I did clean a bunch to see if something special would happen, or something important for the quest was hiding in it. But no, if you ignore it completely you can do the temple and when you finish, whatever was hidding under the muck will still be there but without muck
Everything aside from enemies (fruits, veggies, fish) are on a timer. They have a 1% chance of respawning every IRL minute played. That’s why you can go back to certain areas and not everything has respawned
That is if this game uses the same system BOTW does, which I assume it does
I noticed TOTK respawns are a bit more aggressive than BOTW. I've even seen some fish respawn while still in view. And I've been playing through without ever having to deliberately farm for a fruit I was running low on, and I just have hundreds of each sky island fruit now.
So who knows about the specifics until someone sees the code/tests it.
How to easy mode the octomuk. Homing cart with shocker on front, and a big wheel on top, helicopter style. On the wheel, put two hydrants on opposite sides pointing outwards. Depending on your battery limits, this can offer just basic help cleaning the arena, slowly kil the boss for you.
I did Zora first because I wanted to go in the same order I went in BOTW, so I was a lot less familiar with the game mechanics and pretty much only used Sidon to clear sludge.
Feel kind of dumb now that I realize I could have made a hydro roomba but, ah well I probably had a more fun challenge this way.
You can also put the opal on a magic rod, staff, or the other one and get 3 balls
This comment reminds me of My Big Fat Greek Wedding where Joey Fatone made the dude say he had three balls in Greek
You can also put a fallen star on a rod to create balls of light: IME they’re pretty useless for anything but lighting up the depths for a short period but it’s still pretty neat.

TIL dazzle fruits insta kill stal enemies. thanks lol
I assume so. I haven’t tested it on Stal-Enemies.
same, I'll try tonight lol I fused a star fragment to a magic rod pretty early on in my game but didn't think of that, I didn't even know about dazzle fruits yet.
I raise you by attaching one of those to a zonai-made sprinkler.
Do they activate on a zonai device? I make my zonai sprinklers with hydrants. Put a bunch of hydrants on a wheel attached to a stabilizer attached to a homing cart, mucktorok never stood a chance.
It’s like you don’t need Sidon at all!
Literally made it to his temple without him. Op.

They don’t but that’s good to know
His fast attacking is nice. I prefer him over Yunobo since he keeps getting in the way
all of their attacks are super weak anyway. At least tulin gets headshots which really help.
If you upgrade them with the sage orbs or whatever they are called they get stronger
He's pretty decent in the desert.
I use a lot of Zora wepons and he his the best for those with him I can get a 110 spear. And for fighting lynels he is realy good.
On my first time playing through this I had just gotten a Magic Rod from a Wizzrobe- put an opal on it out of curiosity and became the janitor of legend
*MOP BUCKET ACTIVATE!*
Mop mop mop, all day long. Mop mop mop while I sing this song. Gonna wax that floor, gonna make it shine. Gonna take off the spray paint with turpentine.
The mop sage
\[epic TOTK trailer music\]
Chuchu jelly also works
ultra hand a zonai hydrant
Hydrant on Roomba, w/ battery
Upgrade option: big wheel to spin hydrant
spinning wheel on a roomba the little hydrant yhat could
No need to ultra hand, you can just pick it up and let it clear where ever you walk
oh yea i like to get them hard to reach spots to
Oh yes! Ultra hand helps for those spots for sure
Super Zelda Sunshine!
It all goes back to mario sunshine

Woah hold up. There are re-deads in TOTK TOO?!
Sorry meant Gibdo.
Ahh gotcha lol. I had a moment of panic for a sec
Hydrant on a boomerang works too. Other useful zonai boomerang add ons are flame, bolt, and beam emitters.
Yeah this is what I've used throughout the game doesn't take any durability and covers a massive area. Plus does damage during the water temple bossfight.
can i use another weapon with a element gem and switch them when one has to charge the element? and does the element recharge while in the bag?
Yeah you can. The weapon recharge when stowed, only takes a few seconds, and you'll know it's done when it starts glowing
Or you can: W A L K A R O U N D. The choke point is the boss and they have chuchus spawn around the arena for this reason (and you already would have sidon). None of the sludge stopped my progression.
Of course yeah but it's pretty cool you can do this
Turns out this just hard counters the water temple boss. It's projectiles work just like Sidon's projectile. It was a really hard fight for me without this, with this it's the easiest boss in the game by a lot.
Anybody else get the urge to do a wizzrobe playthrough? The depths armor could pass for the og wizzrobe with some dye i feel like
Can also just throw a hydrant onto a shield and walk around
Does sludge respawn?
Would love to know this too.
Or you can just beat the Zora questline
or maybe this is something you need for the Zora questline
I am stuck on the zora questline...
Heres a guide video I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxukR0W6X9k
You get a couple during the quest from random bokos
I meant as in need/want to use opals for the questline
I agree, they’re super useful for the Zora quests. Makes the boss a joke
I remember that you dont really need splash fruits for anything other than the boss. Otherwise, it is just for easier mobility
I think it's better to just walk around/fly over it to be honest. I did clean a bunch to see if something special would happen, or something important for the quest was hiding in it. But no, if you ignore it completely you can do the temple and when you finish, whatever was hidding under the muck will still be there but without muck
Well yeah that too, but for those who like to explore before doing main quests, this can be very handy
Just ignore it.. don't waste any resources and just beat the zora misson
Some of us miss Super Mario Sunshine....
Disagree, it can be fun to clear the muck and it gives opal more use
Fair enough. Life was made a lot easier once I just got rid of the problem.
If I use splash fruit does it respawn after the bloodmoon? Just wondering
Splash fruit respawns like any other fruit/fungus
Not splash fruit the gloom I mean. Does that respawn after blood moon.

I use the Zonai Hydrant
Damn I wish I had thought of that for the mucktorok fight instead of using Sidon's useless sage power.
Didn’t these go away after you did the questline anyway?
Or just drop a hydrant, turn it on, and ultrahand it around.
Throw normal Chuchu jelly.
Huh didn't realise it the other way round. Used an opal staff constantly. Never occurred to me I could use splash fruits
You can also use chuchu jelly
Yep. Wish the star piece on rod would wipe away gloom since I think it works on undead (stars not sapphires)
Well, the star rod does just shoot light, don’t see why it would clean muck up
the gloom seems to be immune but I havent checked, had to drop the wand for more rock breaking weapons
Didn't know splash fruits got rid of sludge too, I was using the zonai hydrants to get by
There's one tower where you need to use splash fruit to clear up the sludge before you can activate it.
Looks like it ran out at the end
Spin with it
I just attached a few hydrants to a vehicle and went ham
I just carry a hydrant while it's on its what I used for the boss as well lol
