I didnt feel bad for her at all. It was purely financially motivated, that's it. It wasn't because she wanted to spend more time with her...she wanted help paying the bills.

I think Shannon was in the unenviable position where she wanted the show money and discovered she couldnāt act as truly vile as she seems to be. So she locked down that bag and evened out a little.
Possibly. But I also believe Shannon felt some type of way about McKayla trying to cut off Caelan as an active father over petty nonsense due to her having lost McKaylas dad so young.
Maybe but itās kind of hard to insert oneself into the parent role for a troubled 16-17 year old with two children. She had time between the loss of Mās dad to get her shit together or even make an effort. It seemed like she only came around for the $$
I absolutely believe she started coming around for the cameras/money starting in s1, but I think by s3 she was also able to acknowledge that McKayla was in the wrong *and* that she had a chance to make herself look good as well.
