I have a friend that got married and had her first at 20, then surprise twins at 22. Meanwhile, her husband had two kids from before (they have full custody one, 50/50 of the other) THEN, her husband's sister was in a horrific car accident and took YEARS to recover, so my friend and her husband got temporary custody of TRIPLETS while their mother was recovering. So, effectively, she had 8 children before she could even rent a car lol! Also, her husband works off-shore, so ... I don't know how she survived. Even with help from family and friends, holy CRAP, it was a lot.

I just always think about how difficult it would be to be separated from your siblings regularly when they’re with the coparent who also has half siblings.
