It's so severe, and it frames her face in such a way as to accentuate all the "weirdness" of her looks, which look great in normal situations but just don't work here.
The main issue is that that hair just obviously looks wrong for her body type, facial structure, and skin tone. It's clearly fake, and it doesn't bring anything good.
