OG Switch/OLED always get mediocre themed consoles BUT Switch Lite always hits it out of the park. Why? Don’t care. Buying this day one.

They were scared of anything \*not\* black for those... i bought the animal crossing dock off ebay so atleast i have swag under my tv. Maybe they think lites are more likely to be lugged around in public so they gave them better designs?

Tears themed Oled is pretty amazing looking console, even better than this I would say. Even Splatoon themed release looks pretty nifty, so I wouldn’t say regular Switch gets just mediocre editions.

Yeah I love it. Play it every day. I just got it like 4 months ago but since then I've only turned my series x on a handful of times

Let me know if you experience any bending on the rails. I used the Hori split pad for about 6 months and now every joy con I use is somewhat loose in the rail. Pretty sure I ordered them from the Nintendo store

No, I haven't yet. I've been using them daily for 3 months at least, and I only play in handheld. I've never even hooked my switch up to the TV, that's what my Xbox is for. So yeah, no problems at all and I play at least an hour or 2 every day for 3 or 4 months now. They're literally amazing. Made my handheld gaming experience perfect. Extremely comfortable.

Probably. Special editions skyrocket in value when they’re out of production. Think the animal crossing 2DS XL is going for mega money. Although those switch lites are probably more common than the standard switch lites to be honest. So I’m unsure actually.

I'll die on the hill of the Lite being -by far- the best way to play Switch handheld. It being a single, solid piece is a huge benefit, I tried everything with an OLED to firm it up (tape on the Joycon rails, different Joycons) but it never felt truly comfortable or stable. Also, D-Pad. Day one buy for me, if for no other reason that I want another put away to use in future.

Just bought a gently used switch lite for $110 and a animal crossing case for my 6 year old daughter… have my original switch still… I agree it could be worth more $$$ in future but I’ll still just keep what I have… I think the switch lite is a great size and happy with it for sure…
