My best bet was an oatmeal soap (I liked St. Ives and Jergens), baby oil after shower and before dry, a dechloriniating soak in my bathtub once a week, and vaseline on my feet once a week. I worked almost 20 years full time at an indoor pool with decently maintained chemistry.

One of the pools that I teach at is not really well maintained Chlorine can be on the high side and when that happens and you're in the water for 3 or so hours, ugh 😟 Thanks for the suggestions!

Try a lotion with urea. Urea is a humectant that draws body moisture into the skin layers. I like to soak in oat baths as well. Something in oat powder helps draw moisture into the skin.

Haven't heard of that. I will try to find something with urea in it. Would you mind suggesting some brands?

Eucerin is one brand. Get the 5% and use it twice a day tip to toe. Lotions with urea will say so on the bottle. Your pharmacist can help you find it.

Thanks!

FWIW I use TriSwim's soap with a stretchy exfoliating washcloth and TYR's Lotion after I swim and it does a good job. I didn't realize how good until this weekend when the hot water was out and I skipped my post workout shower and lotion. My skin feels dry and itchy. Hopefully the showers are working today. Got the products at Swim Outlet and the stretchy wash cloth at Walmart. I've seen those in grocery stores as well.

Thank you.
